The house has a prime location within a 10 minute walk from the best ice fishing spots on the lake. This was our second stay at this property and we're going to be back next year!

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Cute house & clean inside. Beautiful view & peaceful lake. Communication & check-in easy. Outside furniture dirty and moldy, lights around fire pit need replacing (some broken or missing) There is no AC in the bedrooms, so only partially air-conditioned.
The cabin was wonderful and much better than expected. We were very impressed with all that was included. The only downside was the water pressure for the shower. All other aspects were wonderful and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to somebody else.

Hi Nate, We are happy to hear that you had such a wonderful stay at the cabin! The homeowners appreciate your feedback, and they have installed a new showerhead to help with the water pressure. Thank you for letting us know about your stay, and we look forward to hosting you again soon. Best, the Evolve Team
The cabin was perfect for our family. Our 10-year-old and 7-year-old loved sleeping in the loft. Everything was clean, organized, and ready for us. Lots to do including indoor and outdoor activities. We were a little disappointed with the lake water. It was shallow and mucky, but maybe it is better other years. I would say it is more of a fishing/boating lake than a nice swimming lake.
We have stayed at quite a few VRBO locations over the years, the cottage at white lake exceeded all prior locations. The communication was stellar, check in a breeze.... the queen beds, I slept as if I were at home, no aches and pains in the morning. The views against the backdrop of the lake and the fall colors were amazing. We could not have asked for a better location to stay for our daughters wedding at Willow Pond.
The ease of communication with the owner was phenomenal, quick and precise. The location is peaceful and serene a great place to unwind.
Than you again J&G for a great stay and opening your home to us.

A friend and I decided to start an annual cottage rental with our kids. This was my first stay at a rental property and overall it was a good experience. The owners had the majority of the things we needed for our stay away from home. The home was just big enough and the interior was well kept. What we liked the most was the depth of the lake off the shore, it was perfect for small children, and the bottom was sand. While we were there, the owners were very responsive with a couple of questions that I had.
We really only had 2 issues with our stay. First there was no dishwasher, so we felt like we were doing dishes a lot. That wasn’t such a big issue though. The biggest problem was the spider/bug situation. I’ve never seen so many spiders and I’ve lived both on the lake and on a wooded property. I don’t particularly like going to bed at night and wondering what’s going to be crawling around my room. Had the spider issue not been an issue, this would have been a great stay.

Hi Monique, the homeowners have asked us to share this response: We're so glad you enjoyed your stay here! We do apologize for the issue you encountered with spiders. We have not experienced that ourselves at the property and have not previously heard this feedback from renters. But, based on your review, we have called in a pest control company for treatment to prevent it. Thanks again for your stay and your feedback!

Comfy and Cozy - for the most part
My sisters and I stayed here for four nights. We try to get away for a long weekend a few times a year and this house checked all the boxes. Unfortunately, there were electrical issues. James did his best to help us trouble shoot and was very accommodating and it ended up being an issue with WE Energies who needed to come out a few times. Again, James tried his best and was easy to communicate with.
Other than that, the home is well stocked, beds were super comfortable and the area was very quiet except for the duck hunters. Just be aware there may be hunting going on depending on what time of year you go.
All that being said, I'd still give it 5 stars!
White lake is a quiet and natural lake just a few minutes North of Weyauwega. The house was exactly what my friends and I were looking for. While there were only 3 of us, there was plenty more space, including sleeping space, for more. We would consider coming back with our kids and spouses! The cabin had everything we needed, from kitchen supplies to games and even firewood.
Outside we couldn't have asked for a better set up. Down a small hill was a fire pit by the lake and dock to fish from. Even without a boat we caught some nice size bluegills. Up near the cabin was plenty of room to park and play yard games, which were also available to use.
Lastly, the communication with the owner was superior. I had a few questions before the trip and my emails were answered quickly and thoroughly.

A wonderful peaceful place to stay!
This cabin is clean, the beds are very comfortable and we loved every minute we were there! The pellet stove was a plus as it did cool down at night. We would definitely come back again!

Amazing cabin on the lake! Perfect for relaxing!
This cabin sits on a quiet White Lake! The cabin was perfect for a group of friends to hang out and chill. The beds were comfy and the kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans to make our own food! Would stay here again!
We met family who live in the area and we all stayed together. The place was great. We stayed in early April so the usual “unpredictable” WI weather. We’d love to stay again in warmer weather and spend some time outside by the lake.
What a perfect cottage to reunite with our grandchildren after a long pandemic. The huge windows overlooking beautiful White Lake allowed us to build puzzles together in the porch, play Jenna in the dining room and build a fire in the fire pit lakeside to make s’mores and tell stories! The grandkids loved playing in the shallow Sandy bottom, and had fun in the kayaks too! Thank you for a wonderful stay! We will definitely be back for more.
Just what the doctor ordered. The description doesn’t do this enough justice. Beautiful cottage, fantastic lake and kayaks, and the perfect setting to recharge and relax. Amenities are great and my only regret is not booking this sooner and for a longer stay. You will not be disappointed and the owner is great to work with. All family members were pleased and that’s a first.
We just loved the property. Having lake access right on site was great. I was concerned the kiddos wouldn't want to play in the lake since there was no sandy beach, but it was a sandy bottom and easy to keep them within a small area where the water was only waste-deep for them. The cottage was very clean and had all the amenities needed. The owners even gave us a bag of Starbucks ground coffee! That was amazing. The 4 seasons porch had amazing sound proofing so while the kids slept in the loft, the adults could stay up on the porch. We ate on the big picnic table outside every day and just had to make sure we were well sprayed for mosquitoes. We had 9 people stay in the cabin and there was only a couple of times where only one bathroom was a small issue. We would absolutely stay there again! The owners were very responsive and easy to work with.
Overall wonderful experience. Outstanding communication with the owners. Owners provided packets regarding surrounding area information.
Easy check in and out. Clean and well kept property. Good location, close enough to dining options and activities but far enough from the busy city.
