The beach is just a few houses away. The walk to downtown was only a few minutes and the walk to the train station was about 12 minutes and a 3 minute ride to Salem.
We were only there to sleep but it was the perfect spot for just us two
The property was clean, there was plenty of parking, and the neighborhood is perfect. Would definitely book again if my wife and I get another chance to get away as a couple.
I booked this place for a 4 day trip to celebrate my mother’s 70th birthday. The place was perfect for us - comfortable, quaint, and easily walkable to the beach and to the adorable downtown. We spent half our time in Beverly and the other half in Salem, and I cannot recommend this place enough for a Salem trip! Provided a perfect balance of the Salem tourism and New England seaside small town. Our hosts were incredibly communicative and provided all the comforts of home we needed, including some birthday decor upon our arrival, knowing we were celebrating! We definitely will be back, and would 100% book this property again!!
I stayed for four days while at a dance camp at Endicott College. The apartment was lovely, clean, and spacious. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The apartment is just a five minute drive from Endicott College, which made it incredibly convenient. I’d love to go back sometime when I’m not as busy because the house is also a 1 minute walk from the beach in a lovely area! If I go back, I will definitely spend more time walking along the coast and enjoying the neighborhood!
Really enjoyed Beverly, MA - quaint little town and near Salem with lots to do. Owner was very responsive and accommodating. All the necessities of home were provided including coffees/teas and soaps/shampoos. Looking forward to coming back one day soon!
This property was beyond perfect for our Salem getaway. the house itself was adorable and we could not have asked for a better location. We will 100% be back.
Enjoyed our stay. The apartment is in a beautiful neighborhood of well-kept, older homes. It is less than a block from the beach, walking distance to both downtown Beverly and the Boston commuter rail, and five to ten minutes to Salem.
The apartment is quiet, clean, and comfortable, especially the bed! The owner lives onsite and responds immediately.
We highly recommend this property. You won’t be disappointed.
No ocean view, only if you walk to the end of the street, otherwise nice.

Cozy - Close to points of interest
If you are looking for modern, this isn't for you. Original floors, bathroom, woodwork and built-ins. Very quant and charming. Walking distance to beach and just over the bridge from Salem. The owners were very nice and even hung a happy birthday banner for my daughter. I would have given 5 stars if it had been cleaned a little better and there were alot of "outdated" items and literature. We enjoyed our stay.
Pros: Cost was reasonable. Scott was available, easy to contact and responded promptly. He lives on site, but was not intrusive. I appreciated the early check-in. The apartment was roomy and location perfect. The neighborhood is nice and a short walk to the beach. Complimentary bottle of wine and bathroom toiletries.Cons: Upon entering I was immediately hit with a strong musty smell. In the kitchen, the cabinet doors were grimy from hand prints and food, the drawers were dusty and had crumbs in them. The refrigerator also had crumbs. The pots were not clean and had to be washed. The bathroom was equally dirty, with grime and rust on and in the tub. The shower enclosure was spotted with water stains and difficult to use. The mirror is a small vintage piece with dim lighting, nearly impossible to use for shaving or makeup. The rest of the apartment was dusty, with cobwebs under and behind the furniture. The floors throughout were not clean, the corners filled with crud. I encountered a huge human hairball under an end table by the couch. Windows could use a cleaning to let the sun in. The Internet was spotty. The air conditioner was so loud we could not use it at night, although it did drown out the noise from the above apartment. Street parking was non-existent, but Scott offered us parking in a garage filled with junk and garbage. It felt sketchy after dark. Overall, the cons outweighed the pros. You get what you pay for. A good cleaning would help this place immensely!

My best friend and I decided to take a bestie/sister trip. It was a blast to see Salem can not wait to go back. But... being that we are young two woman that traveled alone. I think it should have been told in the listing that there is a large glass door connecting to the rental place to the owners home. That CAN NOT be locked or unlocked from your side.. Only the owners side. Which lead us to have to sleep with a chair against the bed room door because that also did not have a lock.. We did not sleep well knowing someone we do not know has full access to us when ever they wanted too. NOT THAT THEY DID... to be clear. But there was not an extra comfort of knowing they could.. Also then bed was really uncomfortable as well.. We woke up sore every morning. Out side of that. Our experience was amazing!!!!

Marilyn, we're glad you had an enjoyable stay overall, but are sorry to hear that you felt as though your safety was compromised. The homeowner had not been made aware of this issue with the connecting door before and will be installing a lock on both sides of the door to ensure that future guests do not share your experience. Mattress comfort is extremely personal and subjective and while the mattress in this home is new with a European soft top cover, we apologize if it wasn't to your liking. Thank you for your feedback and for giving us the means to provide five-star experiences to future guests. Best, the Evolve Team
We chose this property because it was in close proximity to Salem. Owner was wonderful with communicating before check in and during stay! Quaint neighborhood I’m walking distance to many bars/restaurants.
House was a bit musty smelling.

Good Location
Two block walk to main street that had lots of restaurants. Nice neighborhood to walk in and close proximity to the beach.
The place was nice, my one complaint is whoever is above the rental space (not sure if it was the owner or another renter) makes a ton of noise walking around pretty much all hours of the day. It was fairly quiet at night though. Overall it was a good stay.
Roomy one bedroom apartment in a lovely old Victorian house, just a short walk from the waterfront and also an easy walk to Cabot Street, which has many great breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Scott was a terrific host, and allowed us to hold a small family gathering in the apartment, which was large enough to fit a dozen guests comfortably.

Adorable spot!
The space is just as adorable and cozy as pictured. I felt like I was staying at family home, and best of all the beach and town were steps away. Scott was friendly and quick to respond if we had questions, but otherwise did not disturb our vacation at all! He even left a couple of refreshments in the fridge for us upon our arrival.
We stayed during a heat wave, and the spot had two air conditioners that kept the space cool. The best part of the trip was watching thunder storms roll in on the porch while taking a break from cooking dinner.
Was in town from Chicago meeting up with a good friend from western MA and this rental was perfect for us. Clean, spacious, close the beach and restaurants. Would stay at again!

Wonderful stay! Had great amenities, lovely hosts, and an unbeatable location. Can't wait to stay again.
The space was well equipped with a ample storage and seating, great appliances, and an easy option for ceiling fan, air conditioning , or open windows. Our favorite part of the stay was taking the two beach chairs down to the sandy shorefront (only a block away!) and enjoying some morning coffee by the water. We can't wait to stay again.
