We stayed here while we fished the Chip. The rowboat on Burns Lake was a quiet treat during our breaks at the cabin. We loved our stay and plan on returning! The view from the windows was picturesque and the amenities were just enough for us!

Wonderful cabin experience
My 4 daughters and I spent a week here again for the 3rd year in a row and we love it. Very nice cabin, great spot on Tiger Cat, and very quiet location. Fishing is also very good. Will be coming back again next year!
Secluded enough from other neighbors but close to Hayward for short day trips. The cabin is well equipped with everything we needed, and very reasonable house rules. This was our second stay at this property (two years in a row) and will definitely consider again.
Good location. Nice house. Really could use some window coverings in the bedrooms…..

Nice enough place but
2nd bedroom bed very small, loft had no electricity and very low ceilings, dishwasher not working, hot water hooked up to toilet which was very weird, moved dresser to make room for pak n play and found, what appeared to be, a dried up chipmunk underneath stuck to the floor.
Burns Lake is great and having a row boat was wonderful. My son, who is a big guy felt very safe while fishing. No worries with the boat. The cabin is very comfortable but has some things that needs to be finished in the inside, which I told will be completed this fall after reservations slow down. Plenty of cooking utensils, though havinga few more grilling tools and a new grill grates could be nice. The place is truly very nice. Considered to be a diamond in the rough 😊 once the updates are completed it’ll be great. Would hope it doesn’t increase the cost.

Quiet, serene, wonderful stay!
We had a great time! The property needs dead tree removal by the driveway and house!?. Calm, quiet lake. I loved the rowboat. The bench is not on the dock anymore. Old pictures. I caught some fish. Sunnies and saw Northen by the dok in the AM. I walked in the woods, built a fire, and charcoal grilled ribs! I recommend this quiet property! A complete home. We had everything needed. It would be a fantastic place for a Fall stay too! We had July thunderstorms at night. There is a tree that will eventually fall. Just be careful of where you park your vehicle!
I was in need of a long weekend away, and this location fit the bill! I spent the majority of my time on the round table facing the lake, my view was filled with eagles, deer, and countless chipmunks! The home is very well kept, And I had everything I needed for cooking. I’m not the first to suggest in comments, but curtains would be a good add. I came solo, but I’m sure that my fiancé would not be comfortable sleeping in the bedrooms with no curtains. A tip… Know how to get back to town from where you are, or have a paper map with you. I use Verizon, and I had a heckuva time getting a GPS signal on Apple Maps to get back to town. Fortunately, I kind of sort of knew where I was. Otherwise, I would’ve been stuck! looking forward to staying here again!

The one reason that we stayed for the whole week was its location. It is beautiful! The place had not been cleaned since the last renters left when we checked in. Contacted the owner and he did get the property manager to come out to clean. The property manager did some cleaning but told me that we didnt have water so she couldnt clean everything and left. A call to the owner did bring her back to get the water running but she did not finish cleaning. She did instruct us that we would have to reset a breaker in the garage when it tripped to keep water going. Then, we had well pump issues for the next three days to the point that flushing the toilet tripped the breaker. The owner was trying to address the water issue from afar. He had an electrician working there at 5 pm one night and 11 pm another night, and then did get a well company out to replace the pump when we were talking about canceling the rest of our stay. We did finally have clear reliable water the day before we left. But had to furnish our own water most of our stay. The place is being poorly managed. Towel bar falls off wall, white towels with yellow stains and smell musty, hooks falling off walls, laundry room reeks of animal urine, broken screen, both doors have broken handles (wind blows open door when not deadbolted), kitchen appliances were dirty, dirty dishes were put back in cabinets, bird poop everywhere outside, and boat plug is bad.All this and no discount was given. We won't be back.
We have been taking this trip for 30 plus years. Have stayed at many places and had a couple of disappointments. This cabin worked very well for us as it is as advertised. We would not hesitate to book again.
If your looking for a lovely cabin set back off the road and on a quiet lake in Hayward, you can stop looking. This clean cabin with 4 beds was a wonderful escape. This cabin has nice access to the lake with a few spots to throw some lines in the water. The fire pit near the lake was a great place to catch up and share stories. The deck and patio were perfect for grilling out and have a cup of coffee. The open concept in the cabin allowed for all of us to share our time together. The host were extremely nice and helpful. I would recommend this place and look forward to visiting again.
I stayed here for 5 days with my daughters for our annual dad/daughter getaway and had a great time at this cabin. Quiet, good spot on Flowage, very good cabin feel. Will be returning and staying longer. Thank you for making cabin available
This is a great property and was even better than the listing showed. Loved it and are considering booking it again for next year. Ana the property host was awesome and easy to communicate with.
This was a nice place to get away to. There were lots of little fish off the dock and our boys had a wonder time catching them. The only suggestion is that the dock area could use a little cleaning up, there are some random items by the dock... spoon, tennis ball, cans off the end of the dock in the water. All minor but would look nicer with out them. Good communication with the manager. Would go back again!
We had an absolutely amazing time! We loved the location and the cabin was adorable! It was peaceful, and quiet and exactly what we were looking for! We caught a bunch h of fish off the dock right behind the cabin! My son had a blast. We all loved it and would definitely love to come back another time! Thank you so much for helping make our trip so great!
