Opening onto the sundeck and looking across to Duvauchelle this warm and charming home awaits to host your escape - Welcome to The Grandstand!

Wake up in the morning to the bird song of the native Kereru, Tui and Bellbirds filling the air surrounding The Grandstand. Inside is an inviting space styled for comfort with a few modern touches. Enjoy relaxing in this space with your family or group, equipped with the must-haves, including WiFi and a BBQ.

Ideal no matter the time of year, The Grandstand has great indoor/outdoor flow onto the sheltered sundeck to keep you cool in the summer and then in those colder months stay toasty warm snuggled up in front of the fireplace.

At the end of a big day out, bring everyone together in the open-plan living, dining and kitchen area for some delicious holiday meals or to unwind in front of the TV.

Try some local wine from the French Farm Winery with restaurant and bar is just a 3-minute drive from your front door! Lots of wonderful little bays nearby to choose from to test the water including Wainui Beach just a 6-minute drive, where you will also find boat storage available to rent, and fishing charters leaving from French Farm. An 18-minute drive will have you in the heart of Akaroa itself when you want to explore.

Fabulous views

This was a fabulously, peaceful place to stay. Wonderful views, not too far to drive to Akaroa and equipped with all we needed for out short stay. The birdsong in the evening was amazing as we sat out on the deck. Would book again!

A view to die for

Beautiful location, amazing views and the most incredible dawn chorus . We loved our stay. Some cupboards or storage space in the bedrooms would be useful, though.
