Christmas Getaway

The Mountain Memories cabin allowed us to do just that—make cherished memories. We visited Ober Gatlinburg, Dollywood and Roaring Forks Trail. The kids begged to get back to the cabin each day. Everything was as described and it was well furnished with the Christmas decor adding that special touch. You will not regret booking with Jan and Mike!

Wonderful Time of the Year

We absolutely loved our stay. We celebrated Thanksgiving with our small family and there was so much to do. The home is extremely clean and was decorated for Christmas. The views from the home are breathtaking. We spent a lot of time downstairs playing pool, games, watching football, and enjoying each other’s company. The home is well stocked! All the dishes and cooking items you need are there. The home is tucked way up in the mountains so recommend bringing your smaller vehicle to travel. Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge did not disappoint and both are just a few miles from the home. Highly recommend for your mountain getaway.

MAGNIFICENT!

The property exceeded our expectation!! and the owner were amazing, reachable at all times! quick to response all our needs! u dont have to go anywhere to see bears in the wild! they were just around the property! rate 1-10 is the highest, ill say perfect 10! we surely book this again next time! My daughter’s bday celebration was definitely memorably amazing!

Black Bear Cabin

We enjoyed our stay and had a great Thanksgiving celebration. The cabin was awesome. Just a couple things that could be better: pool sticks- need a short stick due to walls around pool table; floor vent covers not secured.

Family vacation

We stayed with our entire family (12) it was wonderful. The kids loved the hot tub and theater room. Within 30min of unpacking our cars a bear came right up to the house and front door! It was such a fun experience for us all.

Beautiful setting, great location

This was the perfect location to gather with family and friends. There are countless things to do in the area including hiking in Great Smoky Mountains National park and a myriad of family friendly activities in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The house was very clean and comfortable. There were a few minor maintenance things to be addressed, but they did not interfere with the overall positive experience.

Beautiful home, great location, host was excellent!

Property is exactly as listed. Beautiful home. Property manager was great, she responds to messages very quickly. No issues at all, this property was in excellent condition, very clean has absolutely everything you will need. Highlight of the trip was seeing four bears, one mama and three cubs, right on the road of this property. For anyone that might be concerned about this, don’t be, they wanted nothing to do with us, were just looking for food and ignored us 😁

Awesome Family Memories

This was our first visit to Tennessee and we had amazing time! The chalet is modern with a rustic decor. Spending quality time together was no problem here! The games, theater, and hot tub kept everyone entertained when we were relaxing in the evening. The rooms were spread out giving everyone privacy and space to rest for the next day.

Spring break with teenagers

Our experience was really nice for spring break. Comfortable beds. Clean. Location to Gatlinburg was perfect! Hot tub needs attention with cleanliness. Air hockey game didn’t work but we enjoyed the pool table more. Theatre room was very enjoyable. Very nice!

Felt like someone had slept in the bed and used the towels

The cabin was nice not real clean though seemed like the sheets had been slept on and towels smelled very bad I think saying pool access but were no where to be found. We had stayed at some on the east side of Gatlinburg that were very clean and pool access was visible to all cabins

Great trip with only one problem.

It was beautiful, with a great set up. The hot tub was amazing. The only problem that occurred was dirty cups, dishes and cook wear. Also the air hockey table, the goals were broken. I took photos if you need them. And I would speak to the cleaning crew.

Gatlinburg Cabin

This cabin was amazing, and the owners were WONDERFUL. It is located very close to the Parkway. We got several food deliveries with no problem. Be ready for several steep inclines headed to it. They gave a few people in our group a little anxiety, because they're so steep and sharp. Theater Room doesn't work well for watching tv/movies. The speakers go in and out. The owners were wonderful with communicating and helping with any issue we had. Definitely recommend.

Good place to stay....location is good if you want to be close to Gatlinburg.

This house is ideally located if you want to be close to Gatlinburg. On a quiet street with bears in the area which was fun to see and certainly keeps you on your toes. Older house that has been remodeled. There was 5 of us and the floor plan and rooms worked great, bathrooms are small but very workable and all other rooms are good size. The house looked exactly like the photos and that is always what you want, well maintained especially for an older house. Upon arrival we had some questions and emailed and the owners and they were fabulous....quick response and answered all questions, this was very much appreciated. I would stay there again and certainly would recommend to friends and family. The view is okay with all the summer foliage it is limited.....fall and winter would be beautiful. If you have kids or it is a sports weekend with all the TV's....wonderful.

Bears, bears and more bears!

We were very excited to stay in this house with so much to do. When we arrived, we found mouse droppings in most of the rooms and the theater room had food and drinks spilled in the chairs. The owner responded quickly and had someone come and clean within an hour. Having 3 small children who would be on the floor playing, we vacuumed and mopped the entire house. She refunded our cleaning fee at that time. We enjoyed watching the bears who visited everyday. There was a mama bear with 3 cubs that were adorable to watch. We even had a bear open my car door and get into my console to get to salt and pepper!! Thankfully no damage to my car! The only other thing we needed were more bowls in the kitchen. There was not enough to go around for meals. Overall, we had a great time and felt the owner was responsive to our needs.

Family Vacation

We absolutely loved this house! It was the first time since I was a kid that we did a big family vacation. We had six adults and one toddler. The house was more than big enough, very spacious rooms. Kitchen was stocked with everything we could need. It was secluded, with the convenience of the town being no more than a 5 minute drive away. There are several locations with pools, although we found the North pool was the least busy of all of them. We got to see a bear a few times, I think he might be a regular around the area. Definitely listen to the owners and keep your car doors locked. We woke up one day to paw prints all over our truck! The only heads up I would give potential renters is the driveway is tight if you have more than 1 car. We had a big Suburban, and a medium sized sedan. Parking the Suburban was difficult because of the weird angles. But we made it work without any real issues. We are excited to rent from you guys again next year!
