Pictured Rocks Family Rentals welcomes you to Trails End. Trails End is a great home in Christmas, conveniently located 1 block from M28 and 5 miles from downtown Munising. Home offers 4 bedrooms, 2 full baths. It has a master bedroom with king size bed, doorwall to deck, walk in closet and master bath. Bedroom 2 has queen size bed, Bedroom 3 has a twin bunk bed, and Bedroom 4 is in the finished basement with queen size bed. We have a 24' heated above ground pool open from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

You'll love all the room this home offers and the great location. It's close to area attractions such as Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Grand Island, Bay Furnace, waterfalls, hiking, beaches, etc. You are also only a couple blocks from state snowmobile and ATV trails. This home has plenty of space for a large group but is also quite cozy for small groups as well. It has an attached 2 car heated garage and a half circle driveway for easy in and out parking. The pool is only open from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Sorry, no pets are allowed.

Guests have full access to home other than mechanical room in basement and the brown pole barn.

We are available by text and/or messaging through your booking app if you should have any questions before or during your stay. We also live nearby and can stop by if needed (if we are home).

Our neighborhood is a quiet residential area. We ask that guests please be neighborly and be quiet when outdoors from 9 pm to 8 am. This home is within walking distance to Christmas Kewadin Casino, Foggy's Steakhouse, The Duck Pond, and gas station/party store. We are only about 5 miles from downtown Munising where there are the Pictured Rocks Cruises, Glass Bottom Boat Shipwreck Tours, Sand Point Beach, waterfalls, etc. In Munising there ais a grocery store and numerous restaurants.

-Home has central air conditioning with a limit on thermostat of 68
-No pets allowed
-No smoking allowed in the home, $250 fee if broken
-Signed rental agreement and security deposit hold required for all reservations. Primary guest will need to send a picture of government issued ID and list names and ages of all other guests in their group
-There are exterior 2 audio/video recording security devices that are on 24/7. One faces the front door to home and garage entry door while the other faces the brown pole barn. Both cameras are motion activated.

Pictured Rocks Trip

The house was perfect for our group of 5. Check in was super easy and everything went smoothly. The kids had fun with the games and the downstairs was nice for relaxing at night. Location was really good with the lake in walking distance and close to all the area attractions. Danielle was an amazing host and super responsive, she even came over our first day and helped show us how to open up the heated pool. Would definitely stay again if we visit the area.

We had an amazing 3 days at this Pictured Rocks property. Great location and so well-stocked with everything. Space for everything we needed and the pool, fire pit, and deck areas were great. A little older and the usage of the downstairs was limited due to dehumidifier not working properly so musty smelling.Family did not want to sleep down there. Game room was fun, pool the best. Snowmobile heaven

Home is excellent for snowmobiling gas and trails are less than 1/4 mile from home. Heated garage is wonderful. The house is neat and clean and has everything you need for your stay. Danielle is an excellent host and her communications is wonderful.

Kevin and I began managing this home in July 2019. Kevin was born and raised in the Munising area while I was born and raised in the lower peninsula near the Flint area. We met snowmobiling in February 2011 through mutual friends. We were married in July 2012 and have been mostly been doing a 6 hour commuting marriage until March 2022. It worked well for us and our vacation rental adventure :) Kevin was our boots on the ground, while I took care of all communication, reservations, websites, and bookkeeping. We enjoy sharing our love of the area in all seasons with our guests!

Why they chose this property

This home is in such an ideal location! Walking distance to casino, gas station/party store and the great food at Foggy's Steakhouse, as well as only a couple blocks from the ORV/snowmobile trails :) We love the size of the home and the beautiful deck on the back. After taking it over, we immediately added central air conditioning in July and then a tankless water heater in December. We added a heated 4' above ground pool to the backyard/wrap around deck in the summer of 2020. This home is one of only 2 in the area that offers a private heated pool for our guests :D

What makes this property unique

There are only 2 short term rentals in this area that offer a private pool, and this is one of them! Plus it is also heated, so it's nice if you think Lake Superior is a lil chilly for swimming ;)
