Notes
- Notes on accommodation: The house is sunny with many large windows, built on a hillside with lovely views. The air is as fresh a you can get, with no pollution for hundreds of miles; just trees and more trees as far as the eye can see. The house was designed for outdoor living and eating during most of the year, you can be in the sun or shade from sun rise to sun set. Relax and spot the amazing birds - a Golden Oriole flew past me when I was eating my breakfast on the front terrace; this was on my birthday! Relax in the outdoor lounge of an evening with the pool and or terrace lights on and take a quick dip and listen to the Owls. Wake up in the morning, stroll/cycle to the boulangerie, amble back up to the house, then relax in any one of the outdoor eating areas, gently, wind back the pool cover (heating the water up by 8 degrees) and slip down in the pool to refresh yourself before you relax back for your morning coffee. If you dare, sleep outside on the Ellister Luxor double swing bed with drapes! Outside: The house has a private garden, accessible from the lounge, kitchen and dining room following on to the woods. To the rear of the property accessed from the kitchen there is a terrace and herb garden with a large dining table, off this it takes you to an outdoor triple Suntime Luxor double swing/bed where you can sip coffee whilst overlooking the pool. From here you follow the sweeping steps down to the pool. The pool is 8x4m by 2m deep with a selection of garden furniture/sofa's so that you can laze in the sun between dips in the pool. To one side of the property is an area with table tennis. To the front of the property off the lounge is a covered terrace area with lovely views to the front with a built-in barbecue and seating, ideal for eating or simply enjoying the views, air and tranquility. To the rear of the property the woods merge into secluded forests in the hills above the house. You can soak up the sun from sun rise to sun set, or find a quiet shady spot to relax in. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and Egyptian cotton linen are provided. The property is cleaned at beginning and end of your stay. More often if you require. A welcome basket can be arranged for arrival. Other: Large entrance hall is fully stocked with good classic English books, great family games, DVD's and maps. On the rear patio is a table tennins table, and a hammock swinging in the trees in the private forest above where you will also find a tree swing.

Ask a questionAbout Susan
Mike packed in his successful job when Theo (our third child) was a baby. We sold up in the UK, bought a trailer tent and ended up at a camp site on a beach with our three children for the summer, looking and deciding where to live. By September we had chosen a school in an area that we liked, set up our own small business and then proceeded to look for a place to buy whilst we rented. Our three children were by now in the local school. We fell upon this house, it was in quite a state when we bought it, however, now with many years of hard work from all the family, it is now a pretty as a picture and we are very proud of it. We love our French house, we love the people, the lifestyle, the weather – if we had stayed in France any longer we wouldn't have ever come back to the UK.
Susan purchased this villa in 2002
Why Susan chose Reynes
As we were living in France we wanted somewhere quiet but not remote for the children. It had to be accessible so that we could travel back and to to England easily to see the family and somewhere where we could swim, sail in the summer, with a warm, dry climate and yet go skiing in the winter. Chez nous... Montagne - Mer
What makes this villa unique
It’s in a very friendly village, set in a wonderful location where you can access/see the mountains or the sea. From the house you can walk along a quiet lane to the school, boulangerie, and a couple of shops/restaurants. The weather is brilliant, the house is in a sheltered spot with its own micro climate so it is usually warm, sunny, still and dry.
