Beautiful, charming and rustic Muskoka cottage. Was a perfect stay for our family reunion and would highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing time.
Our second year at this property and it did not disappoint once again. Clean with everything you need. Sunsets are amazing. Property manager Trista is always available. Location is incredible. I plan on booking again next year for our family.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Great location and views. The waterfront is the main draw. We spent 90% of our time on either of the two docks. The host is great for getting back to you. There are more dishes than you will ever use. The house is older with stairs to the upper level. The main floor has a master bedroom with ensuite.
Very convenient location, wonderful outdoor space, well-equipped kitchen, and lots of seating--an excellent cottage for a multi-generational family vacation.

Convenient location with lovely views. Cottage was well-equipped, including SUP, kayaks and canoe as well as water toys and play equipment for the children
Lovely property, great swimming. All beds we’re comfortable. After reading some reviews I did bring my own knifes for chopping and slicing bread. The rooms are a bit over crowded.
It was the most amazing cottage I’ve ever stayed at. Thank you for sharing your lovely property with us.
If the opportunity arises would definitely rent it again!
We had an amazing family vacation. The house had true cottage vibes with all the amenities our family of 9 needed. The outdoor spaces were absolutely fabulous. The sunset views on top of the boathouse and the great swimming just kept everyone happy. Check-in was seamless, Trista the property manager was in communication to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. I only found one negative and that was we did not book for a longer period. Look forward to booking again for next year.
It was a beautiful property with warm water swimming right off the dock. We made excellent use of the canoe, kayaks and SUP. My grandsons even caught some fish! We also watched the meteor shower from the boathouse roof. Trista, the property manager was quick to respond to our every need. All in all, it was a memorable vacation stay. 10 out of 10.
Wonderful experience for everyone in our family. Loved having the kayaks, paddle board, and area above the boat house was sublime. Wished the kitchen was just a little larger and that it wasn’t so difficult to deal with food waste in the sink, but otherwise loved every minute! Really appreciate the responsiveness to our questions.

This was our 6th year of taking our kids and grandkids to a cottage. This cottage did not disappoint. Spent most of our week at the water. Between the dock and boathouse, we had beautiful views of Lake Muskoka. There was ample space at the docks and on the boathouse roof so all of us could enjoy our family week. Thank you for an amazing week!
This property has a great deal to offer families. The outdoor spaces are incredible. The deck on top of the boathouse is the star of the show with a hot tub, huge table for meals, and plenty of reclined lounge chairs to enjoy the afternoon sun or a gorgeous sunset. If the sun is too hot for comfort there is a second large seating area below with another large table that is shaded most of the time. There is even a seating area just outside the door surrounding the propane grill. Although not featured in any of the pictures, this area turned out to be of great benefit to our group. The men would often sit here to enjoy a beer while cooking dinner on the barbecue, leaving the women to enjoy their own conversation indoors.
Other reviewers mentioned that the abundance of furniture made the indoor space feel crowded. This was not a problem for our group of 8 adults and one small child. If anything we appreciated being able to gather all together for a movie or an indoor meal. The architecture of the house, with many non-right angles, seemed to dictate furniture placement to some degree. Even the stairs entered the living space at an angle. If there were people gathered in one area, you could always reverse direction and enter the kitchen from the opposite side.
One thing I always appreciate in a week-long rental is an attention to decoration that promotes conversation relevant to the area. This place abounded in such opportunities. From the perfect scale models of actual historical Muskoka steamships, to the beautiful eagle statue, to the faces that personified the trees with an ancient, mystical character - there was always an opportunity for conversation, intrigue, or just quiet reflection.
Being so close to Gravenhurst I was initially concerned that boat traffic would be a problem. It turns out that there is an island in front of the cottage that is perfectly placed to keep boats on the deep water side, leaving the water in front of the boathouse and dock safe for swimmers. Even on the days when high winds would have dissuaded all but the largest boats from the big water of Lake Muskoka, our little section of Muskoka bay remained reasonably calm and navigable.
Donna was a marvelous host during our stay, always available to answer any questions we had. We all thoroughly enjoyed our week of Muskoka bliss! Thank you Donna!

Please come back again. Best, Donna and Jeffrey Green
We spent a week at ViewPoint with our 4 adult children and their families. The access to the water from many different locations was a hit with the kids. Dock was great for family suppers. Boathouse provided a spectacular view and hot tub gatherings. The floating docks were perfect and we spent many hours jumping and playing in the water. The grandchildren enjoyed the daily visits by mama duck and her ducklings. Trista was easily accessible and responded to all inquiries quickly. Wonderful family time.
We had two family's up for the week and had a mix of sun and rain. Cottage had several indoor spaces to accommodate adults and kids. The outdoor area is outstanding with the multiple docks and boat house that included a hot tub. Only minutes from downtown Gravenhurst.

Hi Jeff, We are delighted that you enjoyed our home and welcome you and your family back.
Have a great summer and be well.

I stayed here for a week with my teenagers and parents. The cottage is kept very clean and the owner was easy to reach and work with. The waterfront is also beautiful and well-kept.
We had two families (nine people) stay for one week.
The good:
The waterfront is excellent, 11 out of 10. The water gets deep fast, but the children, aged seven to ten, all had a great time swimming with their life jackets on. We spent most of the days down by the water and it was beautiful. It was awesome to see the sun set over the lake. It was also really nice that the cottage is so close to town, it was easy to shop and get groceries.
Could improve:
As another reviewer mentioned, there is alot of furniture in the house, most of which is fairly old. There are also alot of old kitchen utensils. Its not such a big deal though, it causes the space to feel slightly cluttered but it did not negatively impact our stay. The clothes dryer was also broken and there wasn't enough clothes line outside to hang up a load of laundry.
Our biggest complaint was the property manager. She was a nice lady, and helpful when we asked, but she honestly showed up almost every day... often unannounced. It felt like an invasion of our privacy and that she was checking-in on us. On the last day, she arrived early (before checkout) and started cleaning. It felt like we were being rushed and our privacy was not respected. Of all the rentals I have done, I have never seen this type of behaviour before.

We are delighted that you enjoyed the waterfront.
and the great new teak furniture. Our property manager expresses her sincerest apology for making you feel like she was invading your privacy. She only comes when there is an issue at the cottage or guest request . We understand that she felt the BBQ handle had become unsafe and she went out and bought a whole new BBQ for your visit. She couldn't figure out what was wrong with the dryer but the repair fellow said that weekend that the lint basket had just been put in backwards and thats why the door wouldn't close. We usually get great kudos for our guest service and out property managers attention- " Nicky is a real “find”,
very hard working, knows her “stuff”, punctual & cordial !"
We welcome you back to enjoy Lake Muskoka and our property manager will be very respectful of your privacy.
Best regards,
The Greens
This place was awesome! We had 11 people from age 67 to 1. The kitchen was not pictured on the site and was small for our size group with all the cooking we did , but was well-stocked and the house was very clean.
The star of Viewpoint is the exterior space and all the amenities.
The grounds are beautiful and private , with flowers everywhere and it’s on a point with views all around . There were many water toys -pedal boat, kayaks , stand up paddleboard . Two docks with chairs for seating and dining , and also above the boathouse, a hot tub, dining and seating. There were two rafts and the kids loved swimming there ( life jackets provided) and diving off of it - they never even used the playground.
There was not a sandy slope to the beach but there was a small sandy area where the younger kids played.
Inside had some wonderful views as well, and lots of comfortable seating.
We couldn’t have asked for better weather -it was warm enough to swim but not so hot we needed the A/C . Lots of sun too. There was only one day of rain on the way up there.
Being from Colorado , we aren’t used to those mosquitoes at dusk but the owner does use a natural garlic spray on the shrubbery to hopefully repel them.
Donna was very responsive to any questions or concerns that I had, as was her housekeeper Niki.
We even went duckpin bowling at a nearby town , something none of us have ever experienced before and it was a blast.
We had a great stay and the property has a wonderful waterfront set-up, with great outdoor space.
The indoor space was not as great -- the cottage has too much furniture in general, which made getting around more difficult than it had to be. The dishwasher was very temperamental and took us several days and a visit from the property manager to make operable. There were no sharp knives at all, and, in general, some of the kitchen items (like the salad spinner, some of the utensils) could use an update.
We also had a problem with the upstairs bathroom -- it was leaking into the master bedroom. We ended up having to stop using the upstairs bathroom, and, with 10 people in a cottage (and 4 of the rooms located on that floor) that made things much more difficult to manage than we had been anticipating.
Still, the overall stay was great, and the waterfront simply can't be beat.
