This quality apartment is amongst Houses, Villas and other Sort after Apartments that are solely privately owned. The area is surrounded by beautiful trees, lawns, exotic plants, set within excellently maintained landscape and Gardens. The Apartment is situated in front of the Tennis and Glazed Paddle Courts, a fitness center with well equipped apparatus that are enjoyed by a limited select few members and guests.
Our apartment is accessed at the rear at ground level whilst providing very peaceful accommodation, there are lovely Spanish, Italian, English Restaurants nearby that serve traditional dishes in a family friendly manner. The apartment has been built next to the most beautiful swimming pool, which is set in an exotic mix of grassland and plants. The pool area has Childrens area for paddling and a small playground. and a lovely snack Bar
Only 10 minutes walk away is the horseshoe Bay of La Herradura which is famously known as one of the best beaches in the south of Spain.
The surrounding area is perfect for a relaxing holiday, or an action packed holiday with a variety of water sports, sailing, Scuba diving, Hand gliding, Horse riding, Golf and many other recreational activities. Not to forget that the area is right on the edge of the Serro Gordo National Park and all the activities that the park brings such as, Walking, Cycling and Discovering the local wildlife
Only an hours drive from our apartment is the Sierra Nevada, Spain's mainland highest peaks and popular ski resort, at the right time of year, you can, ski in the mornings and sunbathe in the afternoons. Close by to the ski resort in easy reach is the famous Alhambra Palace in Granada, Said to be a modern wonder of the world. The nearest towns are to the, west Nerja, another fantastic white sandy beached historic resort only 7 kilometers away, and Almunecar, 3 miles East a traditional town with a seawater park and Castle

Logement propre et bien équipé mais plusieurs problèmes techniques
Le logement est propre et bien équipé. Cependant, durant notre semaine, nous avons été confronté à plusieurs problèmes techniques : Grille du salon menant au balcon bloquée, odeur d'égout dans la salle de bain, chaises de jardin cassées. La propriétaire est reactive aux mails envoyés concernant ces problèmes mais ne reconnaissait pas les désagrément pour nous. ( Selon elle, chaises cassées dues à la chaleur et odeurs dues aussi à la chaleur).
De plus, la piscine n'est pas privée a la résidence. Elle est ouverte à tous, avec une tranche horaire d'ouverture réduite de 11h a 19h et fermée le lundi.

Hello I was made aware the safety grill was broken the morning of your arrival I tried to contact you several times to let you know, my cleaning lady advised me the previous clients had left that morning and had broken the safety gate, as it was a weekend and a bank holiday we could not get in contact with a locksmith to come out immediately, it did not restrict your access to the balcony at all as you were able to go through the patio doors in the bedroom the locksmith got to you within 48hrs ? As for the swimming pool it has never been owned by me or the tenants of the building this is stated clearly in our information on our web page and the information sent to you on booking, it states any changes are at the owners discretion and we have no control over the pool any complaints must be made to the pool owners, it has always opened at 11am and closed at 7pm we pay ourselves for all our clients so they have free access to this facility, concerning the smell from the drain which by the way was experienced by the whole apartment block, we had been informed it was due to the heat and is not a unknown situation in Spain, again within an hour my cleaner came out to you and put bleach and cleaning fluid down the drain for you, we respond within the hour to anything you had a problem with as for the chairs again was only made aware there was a split in two of the chairs arms the chairs were perfectly able to be used and were not a safety issue, that morning when you left they were replaced with new chairs, we did offer to replace them while you were there but you declined. We really can't think of anymore we could have done we acted immediately on everything you thought you had a problem, Regards Sue

A chaud j'aurais pu être plus virulente mais dix jours après notre départ mon appréciation est tempérée. Ce que je n'ai pas du tout aimé est le wifi payant, ça m’a paru excessif d'autant que je partais avec ma fille de 18 ans qui avait pris sa tablette. cette information nous ne l'avons que lorsque la location est payée entièrement sans possibilité d'annulation. L'absence de lave vaisselle est que les locataires précédents font ce qu'ils veulent donc la vaisselle était sale. 1700 km aller pour faire la vaisselle, très très moyen. La contenance du réfrigérateur tout juste suffisante pour 3, avec une tablette cassée que j'ai dû réparée. Passées ces déconvenues, l'appartement est équipé du minimum sans autre superflu. La climatisation fonctionne et est performante, la salle de bain est petite mais suffisante pour 3 personnes, la salle de repas correcte ainsi que la terrasse. l'accès à la piscine facile. La Herradura est une ville très sympathique et pourvue de toutes les commodités, l'appartement est situé à 10 mn à pied de la plage (la descente est simple mais le retour peut être difficile car la montée est rude), l'idéal étant d'avoir une voiture pour tous les déplacements.

Si algo se puede mejorar sería la nevera un poco pequeña, y aunque no somos de ver la tele una actualización de la antena para ver los canales españoles q no se ven.

We do overlook the padel courts in Las Palomas this is stated in our write up so people should expect some noise, but most people enjoy watching the padel from the balcony, as for the heating in the bathroom this really is not needed at all it's a small holiday apartment, which is rented all year and the majority of the year requires no heating and we personally feel this would be a safety issue and dangerous, we would not put any electrical equipment in a bathroom and electrical it would have to be, the whole apartment has heating which when turned on would filter into the bathroom as the bathroom is in the centre of the apartment Regards Sue

El alojamiento no está mal, aunque la sensación al entrar era muy diferente a la que aparecía en las fotos. Por otra parte la página indica que hay pistas de tenis y gimnasio sin especificar que hay que pagar este servicio aparte.
El alojamiento está a 10minutos de la playa pero hay que tener en cuenta que es una gran pendiente, con lo cual la vuelta de la playa es bastante costosa.
Aún así, la estancia ha sido satisfactoria y la propietaria ha estado pendiente en todo momento de nuestros contratiempos.
Nos costó mucho encontrar el apartamento por las indicaciones de la propietaria, Sería interesante que añadiera la localización gps

The picture on our web page is the front of the Apartment which shows on the first floor, but the only way to enter is from the back door on ground floor where you park your car, our web page states clearly that the Gym, Tennis, and Paddle courts can be used at a small fee , we state clearly car hire is advisable as we are on a small hill, we also send with the keys or by email clear instructions for directions to the apartment, we take onboard your comment about GPS we will see if we can get this put on the web page
appartement agréable, tout confort. Un petit bémol sur le bruit car l'appartement est proche des terrains de padel et cela fait un peu de bruit en soirée ... sport par contre très interressant à regarder et surement à pratiquer

Fantastic flat with everything you need and a wonderful balcony that is always warm in the sun
The flat is fantastic has everything you need and has a wonderful balcony that is protected from the wind while still being in the sun so you can always sit int the sun and be warm.
If you love tennis there is a club next door with reasonable rates for equipment, and there is a lovely little cafe with great staff as well which is worth a visit for a calm afternoon.
There a very helpful folders of information that are great to get you started on your trip with numbers and times of buses and lots more things so you don;t have to randomly explore to find essentials, (but your still can if you like that sort of thing).

Clean comfortable and well equipped apartment
Access to beautiful community pool with bar and pretty gardens two minutes walk away a real asset. Went most days and it was never busy. Large balcony overlooking paddle courts not overlooked by other apartments. Off road car parking right outside door which is at the back of the apartment block and can be accessed without steps. Comfortably furnished, clean and well equipped for self catering. Communication, key collection, check in and out easy and flexible.

Homely, spacious and well equipped
Lovely clean 2 bed apartment, with lots of storage space and a spacious balcony. Probably the best equipped apartment we have stayed in, plenty of cutlery, crockery, pots and pans.
Thanks to Sue, the owner, for being so amenable with our change of plans.
There is a cafe/bar underneath the apartment which is very good. Free tapas with every drink ! And great quality food at a reasonable price. As we were here in January the pool was closed but the racket games were in full flow.
The walk down to the bay us about 10 minutes down and 15 mins back up coz it it a bit steep ! Remember to take a torch if you come back up in the dark.
All in all a very good week thank you.

Perfect Family Holiday
Lovely clean and comfortable apartment, which has everything you need. Great pool and bar with relaxed, friendly atmosphere. My teenage boys enjoyed playing padel and we even ventured into the gym - once! Loved La Herradura for its range of inexpensive, good value restaurants and bars. Busy with mostly Spanish tourists, but not heaving. We went to Frigiliana which I highly recommend, a pretty hillside village with a beautiful sunset. Excellent road network making it easy to do a day trip to Granada. My boys also went scuba diving with Angel from Scuba Tropical and thoroughly enjoyed it. Very easy, relaxing holiday.

Brilliant family holiday
The apartment was just as described , comfortable and all you could need for a family of 4 . (Children 11 and 15 yrs) .The shared pool and cafe was delightful , very friendly staff and just a 2 minute walk away . We hired a car and found a great beach at punta de la mona , aswell as visiting Aqua tropic water park twice in nearby Almunecar ! A great holiday and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it .

Girls holiday 2014
I travelled with 3 other friends and stayed in the apartment for a week. It has all the essentials you need and is light, modern and ample room for us. We liked nothing more sitting on the balcony having a few drinks and a bite to eat. The pool area is fantastic with its own restaurant and bar very clean and tidy and people very friendly. Town of la herradura is quiet but plenty of restaurants and few bars and beach is good too. We would definitely go again we all loved it.

Great Time
The accommodation was described correctly, if anything under described, The private pool area was relaxed & peaceful With a friendly bar with food, the apartment has a nice restaurant very close or you can visit the local town either by foot ( but need a taxi back because of the beer & the hill!!!!). Beaches are great & some even better beaches within a 10 minute drive. We will return. Facilities in the apartment were like home from home & my wife was very impressed with it,
thank god!.
The Apartments are in a quiet area but within easy reach of the town either by walking or car. Please note for anyone who has difficulties in walking the apartment is situated on an incline you will need to use your car, We also have Tennis courts and Paddle courts which are situated in front of the apartment plus a Gym a charge to use, and a Large Swimming Pool within yards of our accommodation including pool bar which serves food private but free entry to our clients
