Villa Saranda is a beautiful villa located in its own one acre plot with 25 olive and fruit trees in a peaceful, location with private and direct 4 minute access on foot to the magical beach and bay of Yialiskari where the Durrell's My Family and Other Animals was filmed. A small, stone built snack bar and limited sun loungers have recently been installed enhancing the beach tastefully and discreetly. The colour of the water needs to be seen to be believed. From here it is only a short 15 minute walk via a coastal path to either Agni or Kalami where there are several tavernas, bars and small supermarkets..
There are stunning views from the house including the recently enlarged patio and covered terrace where you can hear the sound of the sea and watch boats pass by. It is a natural habitat for birds, wild flowers and during spring the area is lit by fireflies.
The house and heated pool are very private with ample verandas, bbq and shaded areas. We have equipped as a home from home with a high level of facilities - way above the normal standard of holiday properties with every attention to detail.
Each of the three bedrooms has its own en suite - the two doubles with walk in power showers and the twin with a bath and shower. The two double bedrooms have floor to ceiling sliding glass doors providing stunning views across over the beach to Albania and Kalami.
The villa is family friendly and the seasonally heated pool (at extra cost if required) is great for families and very safe. A cot, highchair and babyseat are available.
The kitchen is well equipped with a Nespresso coffee maker, microwave, wine cooler, integrated dishwasher and oven/hob and a wide range of kitchen equipment.
The open plan living area has high beamed ceilings with comfortable settees, coffee table and a desk area for a computer. The wall mounted TV with a large number of streamed channels ( with a full UK and Sports package ) and Netflix. A Sonos sound system provides music both inside and outside
There are several outside seating areas - a large table on the covered terrace with two smaller tables positioned to maximise the panoramic views. There are six rattan sun beds and a recently extended lounge area with settee, large parasol, armchairs and low table for an evening sundowner admiring the view across to Albania, the beach below and the busy Corfu Straits always active with yachts, ferries and fishing boards.
