About this property
Cozy cottage in heart of St Davids - private garden with Cathedral views
Yewdale Cottage is one of the oldest cottages in the heart of the 'city' and has the perfect blend of original period features and contemporary amenities.
We also have a delightful, large garden with stunning cathedral views.
Think: cozy cottage, exposed beams, art, quirky antiques and gorgeous bed linen.
From the moment you enter Yewdale Cottage, you’ll be struck by just how much space there is. For a listed, traditional cottage such as this there’s an almost Tardis-like effect as you enter through the pretty front garden.
Downstairs is a large living room, complete with cozy sofas, gas fire, tv and, of course, board games. There’s also a beautiful dining table where you can sit together and break bread. The kitchen has everything you’ll need and a little bit more and there’s also an outhouse in the garden equipped with washer and dryer.
The downstairs bathroom has a bath and a shower and is very much the main bathroom of the property. And there’s also a beautiful double bedroom downstairs which has fantastic views of the cathedral.
Up the wooden stairs at the back of the lounge you’ll find a large landing with three sleeping areas and a bathroom. The master bedroom is gorgeous, with views of the cathedral and its own washbasin and mirror. There is also a single bedroom, and an area on the landing with a further single bed that has a curtain for privacy. The bathroom has a sink and WC. There is also plenty of storage and even more charming character.
You can access the large garden either via the side access or from the backdoor between the downstairs bathroom and kitchen. This is a fantastic place to let the kids loose or sit out drinking gin and tonics till the sun sets behind the cathedral.

About the host
Hosted by Michael Brabin

Janet's family come from St. David's and this is very much a family home. David is a market gardener and artist and Janet is a translator/teacher. We have three sons and three Jack Russells, so are very happy for you to bring your dogs. We all enjoy the walking, cycling, swimming, surfing and coasteering and the many other pleasures Pembrokeshire has to offer. We love music and the choral music in the Cathedral is sublime. There are also frequent concerts and annual music festivals in St. David's and Fishguard.
What makes this property unique
We like being right in St. David's, just above the Cathedral and close to some wonderful eateries. We can walk to Whitesands, our favourite beach, in under half an hour and the delightful sandy cove of Caerfai is less than a mile away. Access to the actual coastal path at St. Non's is even closer. The peninsular is criss-crossed with quiet minor roads which are perfect for safe cycling.
