Beautifully Farmhouse With Private Pool

This beautifully restored farmhouse is located in a quiet location in the lovely town of Xaghra. The beautiful large entrance opens into a huge sitting room with dining room which both overlook the large pool area. The large outside area offers a pool, outside toilet, outside shower, sun loungers, outside dining facilities, table tennis table and a barbecue. Also on the ground floor is the kitchen, utility room and a toilet/shower room. The kitchen has all the modern facilities including washing machine, dishwasher and microwave. Upstairs there are three large double rooms (all en-suite) and one single room. Two of the double bedrooms have a balcony and overlook the pool area with fields opposite. There is also a large roof terrace offering some great views. The farmhouse comes with fans in all rooms.

Gozo holiday

We had a great couple of weeks in Gozo. The house and pool were really nice. There are good restaurants ten minutes walk away in the the main square. The capital Victoria is less than ten minutes by car and all the swimming spots/beaches on the island are 20 min max away.

Excellent house for a family stay

We had a great stay. The house is large and very spacious. The kitchen contained all the appliances we needed and the beds were comfortable and ideally distributed throughout the rooms. We enjoyed the outdoor area the most, whether it was morning, noon, evening or night. The pool was always a pleasure. We were always able to relax on the loungers and had a great time. Due to the central location on the island, you can actually reach any place on Gozo within 15 minutes. Ideal for us, as we did a lot of exploring. Overall, the house was great for us and many thanks to Katharine for the communication in advance.

Great location, lovely property

Excellent property in a perfect location on gozo, a short walk from the restaurants in town. This was perfect for our 10 day stay - 7 or so good restaurants to work through in Xaghra, and every cove/beach on gozo was within 20 min drive. The property itself was well kitted out..large fridge/freezer earned its keep in water storage, and the kitchen had an oven/hob and double sink plus a utility room with double sink and washing machine/iron. The living area was spacious and open plan and had TV/internet and sofas so nice lounging around area. We made use of the BBQ and the local butcher in Xaghra on a couple of occasions and it was great to have that flexibility to chillout at the place and eat or eat out close by as well as further afield. The combination of a quiet island like gozo and this place was perfect for us. Note the info folder is a bit out of date - Wifi access code is on the router, search the internet for the waste collection days. CARJET.COM WARNING I wouldn't book a car with carjet.com again - We booked a car for 10 days and paid in full in advance. They reserved it via Movis who re-sold it after we were delayed collecting it on the day. Movis had no cars left when we arrived and Carjet wouldn't return any of the money they pocketed. We had to buy another car on the day from another hire company.

Lovely spacious farmhouse.

The farmhouse is beautiful - large, spacious, traditional and in a great location, Xaghra is a superb base. The next door neighbour is delightful, very friendly, and offered to take our recycling to the municipal dump. The pool is great (maybe a little small for us - I will have to check that in future) - lovely and clean. For our stay the sun is on the pool/part of the pool until midday in late September, then is behind the building until about 4 pm when it reappears on the other side of the building. The girls were a bit frustrated with this as the shade chased them until there was no patio left to sit on. We did have a mixed bag weather wise, so most days we weren't at the villa in the afternoon, therefore not a problem. The island is too beautiful not to explore. The bedrooms and bathrooms are beautifully spacious, as is all the downstairs living accommodation. We enjoyed playing table tennis, there is plenty of room to set the table up inside the villa as well as outside. An added bonus. The kitchen area is adequate and the welcome pack a blessing, thank you. A tea strainer would be a welcome addition for the loose tea that is provided!! This was our first visit to Gozo, what a beautiful unspoilt island. The crossing from Malta is relaxing and hassle free, very well organised. As are the buses. We decided not to hire a car, and found the bus system extremely easy to use and very affordable. The views are stunning wherever you go, and all the main villages are easily accessibly by bus. It was quite fun navigating ourselves around and added to our stay. The villa is located just a short easy walk to the main square in Xaghra which was wonderful. We also enjoyed the marvellous barbecue at The Cornicopia (literally 2 minutes walk), and the views from there are stunning. Wonderful location, thank you. The farmhouse itself has a few areas that require a little tlc, and that is the only reason I have given 4 out of 5. Having spoken to the owner who is getting these sorted, I would therefore definitely recommend to others.

Maison superbe

La maison est vraiment superbe et spacieuse. Nous étions 6 sans nous marcher dessus ! Mais ce qu'il y a d'encore mieux, c'est l'extérieur avec l'indispensable piscine parfaite ! La maison est très bien située (proximité de la place principale avec plein de restaurants, plage de Ramla bay tout à fait accessible à pied -prévoir bus ou taxi au retour éventuellement !!-, bus vers Victoria, Marsalforn ou Ramla bay, temple exceptionnel à pied etc etc.) Je rajouterai une mention spéciale pour la gentillesse et l'efficacité de Victoria ! Il a fait très chaud mais les ventilateurs ont fait le travail ! En bref, superbes vacances !

Farmhouse stupenda

La villa è molto bella, stupenda la terrazza con piscina. La vista non è il massimo perchè la villa si trova in mezzo ad altre case. Se è molto caldo, non essendoci l'aria condizionata, di notte si potrebbe soffrire molto. La signora che dovrebbe effettuare le pulizie ha cambiato asciugamani e lenzuola una volta sola in 17 giorni e questo ha dato fastidio.

Hi Marco - we do not advertise air conditioning so I would suggest the next time you book your holiday accommodation to check the property details actually mention this before making the booking. What you did not mention in this review was the fact that due to your discomfort with lack of air conditioning, we hired an a/c unit to be brought over all the way from Malta at quite an expense not mention the new bbq, kettle, clothes dryer and mop that was also a concern of yours. Urlaub in Gozo

Sehr großes Haus für 2 Personen. Ausreichend Platz im Poolbereich. Zimmer, Küche, Bad großzügig dimensioniert. Dachterrasse während des Festivals mit Feuerwerk in Xaghra war optimal. War unser 8. Urlaub in Gozo und super dass das noch so kurzfristig geklappt hat.

Lovely old farmhouse in great location

The property is a lovely old farmhouse and just as described. Contact with Katherine was good, really helpful and quick to reply. The building is lovely, the hall way and stairs are impressive and the pool was perfect, very clear and well maintained. As there is no air conditioning it was very hot in August, and with the heatwave we had at the time of our stay sleeping was difficult, the fans did help. We sadly didn’t receive a welcome pack probably due to a mix up In our arrival date limiting the cleaners ability to prepare the property fully. There is still building work ongoing in a neighbouring property but there wasn’t a noise problem and it did not bother us. I think the property is very well priced to take this into account. There is building work almost everywhere you go in Malta and Gozo at the moment. I’d definitely recommend.

Amazing & relaxing stay in Gozo

Property is nice - even if dusty, but due to the construction going on all around it I suppose there is only so much one can do. The noise was not so bad but it is indeed a pity. The place is beautiful, spacious and comfortable. All necessary amenities were provided and the welcome package is a life saver. The owner is friendly and professional. Overall it was a nice stay :)

Beautiful accommodation - great hospitality

Check in was straight forward, lovely added bonus with an essentials grocery shop. Slight downfall due to all the construction going on, two of the days were extremely noisy due to the cement mixer blasting between 9AM-5PM non stop.

Stayed here for 5 days and also stayed here last year. Lovely location. Some aspects are slightly dated for some people but has verything you would need. Large area near the pool great for having bbq in the evening. My children loved the pool. And table tennis table. Any problems in the propery the agents are fantastic at dealing with any problems yiu may encounter. Definatly stay here again!

We are a family of four and first came to Gozo around 20 years ago. We all fell in love with the place and then went back two months later and bought our farmhouse. We still go every year, at least once a year, and we never get bored! It is a home away from home. Both my husband and I are also both keen divers and Gozo offers some exceptional diving opportunities.

Why they chose this property

We love Gozo and the town of Xaghra just had everything. It is also in a nice and quiet location.

What makes this property unique

The property is big and spacious, easy walking distance to town square with its restaurants and shops and also a quick minutes walk from a hotel with a bar and restaurant.
