About this property

The elegance of this house is its comfortable simplicity. Not to forget the peaceful quiet at the property whenever you like: it's situated at 350 mt sea level in the bonny, quiet hills of Alassio - the famous tourist beach resort - far from us, only a ten-minute drive. It's a part of a private Borgo, closed in the property of an ancient castle. It comprises two country houses, one – Villa la Maclura - and the other, Villa la NiCChia. Please note that each house has its entrance, garden, pool, chill-out area, BBQ, and car parking. The Villa Maclura's pool will be open from April; only our guests will decide if they enjoy the cold water or only the sun! Four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a lounge, and a large kitchen on three floors for the exclusive use of guests. A small apartment on the top floor of the house - villa la NiCChia - next door is only for us; we use it to welcome our guests and provide all the necessary assistance for a relaxing stay. The house, founded initially as a farmhouse, is now an elegant small mansion after a recent, complete and careful renovation: care in choosing the colours and accessories, furniture, recovering all original materials - terracotta floors, wooden beams at sight, stone, ancient staircase in slate (dating from the 9th century AD!), fireplace. Everything reminds us of the past, as our medieval tower, that the City of Alassio wanted as a symbol of the town.

Toller Urlaub

Sehr angenehme Gastgeber, tolle Finca mit sehr gepflegtem Garten. Es ist alles vorhanden. Die Aussicht auf das Meer ist herrlich. Zur Finca hin fährt man etwa 10 Minuten den Berg rauf, die Straßen sind hier gut befahrbar.

Beautiful property in the hills.

The property is beautiful and the setting is stunning with amazing views out to sea. Be prepared for the 15 min drive up small mountain roads from Alassio, lots of blind corners and hair-pin bends which mean you don’t pop out for milk etc easily. The property manager is on site and is helpful if you need beach or shopping suggestions. The facilities at the property are good and our children (8,11,13) loved the pool. There is however a lot of concern from the property manager about noise around the pool area, which in the end left our children feeling uncomfortable. This was unfortunate and unexpected in a property marketed as family-friendly.

Beautiful home, delightful hosts!

We loved everything about our stay. The location is perfection. The space beautifully created; it is very clean and more than comfortable with beautiful views. The children spent hours in the pool and looking for lizards. The kitchen has everything you need. The beds were very comfortable. It’s a dream vacation home. We would have stayed longer if we could. Elisa and Ricardo were warm, caring, helpful. We would love to return.

First of all, an explanation! As you saw, the owner has a name, Luca Raggi, and it's true. But the lines below describe a piece of my life and my feelings. I am Elisa, and I am your contact. Luca is my children's dad and our tax representative, too; this is the reason why you see him as an account) and with him and my second husband Riccardo, pictured with me, we have completed this great project. The house, dating back to the XVI century, is completely restored with care and love for the past. A job that lasted five years, meeting all kinds of difficulties... the opportunity to publish the pictures you just saw is a source of pride and great satisfaction for all our family, but especially for me, I confess. The project was so exciting to inducing me - an executive manager in a big company - to radically change my working life. A good result, I think, but what an effort! I worked hard to get it, but now the dream of my life is a reality. I love this place so much (I married Luca here, in the family castle you see on the left), and then I have shifted some of my passion to the home walls. I hope you feel what I mean if you stay here for some days!
