This is an excellent cottage with three large well equiped rooms in a small village. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Access to the Cotswolds and Blenheim Palace. An excellent friendly pub in the lovely nearby village of Shutford - it's worth a walk around Shutford. We loved it.
Booking was very straightforward. Very clear directions, parking right by front door. The cottage was perfect- well equipped kitchen and superb spacious sitting room. Bedroom and en-suite excellent. All very well decorated. Clearly a lot of thought and good taste had gone into it. The village itself was a delight. Wholeheartedly recommend
Gorgeous cottage, home from home, with everything you need, in lovely location.
Character cottage, converted barn. A low beam along one side in the bathroom and bedroom, Very homely, nicely decorated and very clean. Will visit again.
Cosy, well equipped and quiet. Well situated for visits to beautiful gardens, houses and Cotswold villages

About the host
Hosted by Mary Bentley
My husband, children and I moved to this area from London 21 years ago. Herrieff's Cottage is an old coach house which was part of Herrieff's Farm. The farm is no longer a working farm but we live at the farmhouse which is located on the other side of the gate. We pride ourselves on offering personal service to all our guests and are always nearby to offer help or assistance, if needed! We look forward to welcoming you to Herrieff's Cottage and please contact us if you have any queries.
Why they chose this property
We moved here from London primarily because our eldest child was due to start school and the time to move would never be easy after that. This is a great location with ease of access to the M40 which gets us to London in an hour and connects us with friends and family all over the country. We enjoy the peace and quiet of village life. We are surrounded by public footpaths and can walk for miles with the children and the dogs!
What makes this property unique
This is a deceptively large one bedroom cottage in a quiet, peaceful village with acres of public footpaths on the doorstep.
