Great location, driving directions were very helpful and there was easy access to the roads out of the town. A lovely traditional cozy home. Host was very accommodating.
We had a very nice time visiting Ronda! This place was fabulous and allowed us easy access to the entire town. We were very comfortable and enjoyed cooling off in the pool after exploring Ronda each day! Thank you!
This was the perfect place to stay for many reasons. Easy to get to from highway. Short walk to restaurants, cafes, attractions. Nice quiet neighborhood. Ronda is a beautiful magical place! Thank you for letting us stay in your home.
We were a party of four in our early 60’s who travel often together. it was our first trip to Spain. We enjoyed our stay in Ronda. The house was in an easy location to walk to the old and new city areas. it was centrally located to the excursions we had planned in the area.
We loved our stay in this spacious home in beautiful Ronda. The home is located in a great neighbourhood and walking distance to restaurants, the Old Town & supermarkets. We were here in winter & were very comfortable re: temperature. It would be a lovely place to stay in warmer months as well.
Very accommodating! Easy to find with GPS. All of the bedrooms were air conditioned, as well as the living room downstairs.. The swimming pool was a great bonus. A charming and spacious place to stay for our group of five adults. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Ronda!

My family of four (two teenage daughters) visited Ronda and stayed in 28 Calle Penas. The house was very spacious and comfortable. The location was really good, the only challenge was the steep hill on the way to town! The neighborhood is beautiful and very quiet. It was a great base camp for our day trips to Marbella, Sevilla, Cadiz, and Zahara de la Sierra.
This was an excellent stay in an amazing town. Isabel was a gracious host; we had excellent communication and she had many local helpers in town who came promptly to assist us with various tasks around the house. The house is beautiful, comfortable, roomy, and well equipped. The beds are excellent, with cozy down comforters. We were very pleased!
We had a great week in Ronda. Being within a short walk of old and new parts of Ronda and also having a pool to cool down in the July heat made this the ideal base to be with our daughters (17 and 20). Lots of space and air conditioning were a bonus.
The location of the house is very close to town. The part of town where the house is on a fairly steep hill so keep that in mind if you have climbing issues. The in floor heating is amazing. The water pressure was good with adequate hot water. I would have loved to use the pool. It must be great in the summer. We had an Internet issue which was taken care of quickly. And the most important thing: I would definitely stay there again..wasadequate.n

Really beautiful, very comfy and great location! We loved it.
We stayed here with our 2 teenage sons. It was just a short hike to 'town' yet really quiet. I loved the heated floors, outdoor patio w/afternoon sun (too cold to swim), beds and kitchen. We had some issues (all totally my fault - got lost on way there, broke something and locked ourselves out). The property manager Claire was very patient and accommodating. This is just a great city to visit - lots of great places to eat, the bull ring, the gorge, hiking, etc... Make sure to go to the Pietra caves just 15 miles outside of town. We had issues getting tickets (you have to call the day before), so Claire kindly made the call for us. We traveled to several cities in Spain over holiday, but this was by far our favorite town!

Thank you - I am so glad that you enjoyed your stay so much.
The house is good the town is good the location to town is excellent. The beds were comfortable the water was hot and showers were strong. The house was overall pretty dark inside. The pool was leaking generously into the garage and there was a mold smell in the garage. Sauna in garage unusable from mold. Isabel very responsive when we needed things. Wish there was more of a front deck to view the incredible old city but there’s always something. Overall I recommend the house for two couples as we were. Plenty of privacy.

Charming house!!
A beautiful Spanish style house with lots of charm! Centrally located and an easy walk to all sorts of eating places, shopping, and sights, we greatly enjoyed our 5 nights here. The bedrooms are comfortable, the apartment was clean, fully equipped, and beautifully decorated. It was a bit chilly to use the pool but we did enjoy the courtyard and the comfortable furniture out there. Contact with Isabel was easy, and she quickly responded to every question I had. We used Ronda as a base for touring some of the Pueblo Blancos, and found that we enjoyed our time in Ronda so much, that we stayed in town at the house more than we had planned!! The only glitch was that using the attached garage became a problem when neighbors were constantly parked in driveway or in front on street (street is VERY narrow and steep). It was easier to park down the street and walk to house.....the only way we could be insured of getting out!! No big deal...we did love our stay here and highly recommend this lovely place!!!

Thank you for the kind review; I am so glad you enjoyed the stay. I will speak to the neighbours about the parking issue; I believe that they are normally considerate, but local visitors and tradesmen can be indisciplined about parking. Apologies for any inconvenience. Isabel

House in residential part of Ronda near town.
We mostly enjoyed our stay here although I would mention a few issues:
1. We were met by a man that showed us into the house but very little else. He wasn't the usual person who did this so perhaps he didn't know how to show us.
2. We were only given one set of keys to the house. Given that this was a 4 bedroom house, that seemed strange. We were two couples and when we split up during the day we had to coordinate to make sure someone with the key was home - not convenient.
3. Corner on the stove hood is very sharp - should have a warning. Three of the four of us hurt ourselves on it.
4. Be warned that there are very steep steps to the main part of town from the house. We managed by taking our time but if you have any walking issues it would be a big problem.
Ronda is a pretty town and the surrounding countryside is just beautiful.

I am glad you enjoyed your stay, but sorry that you had a couple of issues. The person meeting you was not the normal one, so he may have explained less than normal; please accept my apologies. A 2nd set of keys is normally available on request; again sorry if you were not given one. We will cover the corners of the cooker hood with something protective. Kind regards Isabel
We were made up of a group of painters and partners.
Ronda is beautiful and provided plenty of scope for subject s The magnificent bridge being the obvious. The home itself could not have been bettered. Many many thanks to Isobel, Julio and all the team at Vrbo best wishes Phil
Our family enjoyed our stay in this very nice house in Ronda. The house was very clean and well-equipped with a small swimming pool. It is in a great location with wonderful views from two of the bedrooms and the living room. The house itself is somewhat dark but has a lovely patio by the pool. The location is in a less touristy part of town with good access to grocery stores and restaurants. The main part of town is within easy walking distance. Ronda is hilly so be prepared to walk up and down to access different parts of the town. The parking is tight with limited space for getting in and out of the garage. Our only disappointment was the limited number of towels for our party of five and no bath gel or shampoo. But on the whole this was a very nice place to stay and would be a very good home base for any family or group wanting to explore Ronda and the surrounding hill towns.
Positive: location, well appointed kitchen, comfortable bed, quiet, very responsive owner, spacious
Not so positive: damp and moldy garage, overall home interior, a reoccurring smell of sewage/septic system outside near pool

About the host
Hosted by Isabel Dalton
I am from the north of Spain, but have lived for almost 30 years in London with my English husband.
Living in the UK the thing I miss most is the sun, particularly in winter. We have bought the house with a view to spending a lot of time here on retirement, but unfortunately that day has not yet arrived. We hope you love the house and area as much as we do.
Why they chose this property
We were attracted to the area by the beautiful countryside and by the winter sun. Although Ronda is close to the coast it still has a very Spanish feel and there is a sense of space and tranquility in the area.
At first we looked outside town, but when we found this house we felt it offered the best of both worlds, having a pool, great views, immediate access to the countryside plus all the convenience of town. A 3 minute walk in one direction and you are in the main shopping street, and 3 minutes in the other direction you are in open countryside.
We want to visit a lot in the winter months when it gets cold at night so the log-fire and underfloor heating were a real attraction (many local properties are not well heated).
What makes this property unique
Perfect location. Great outdoor space with swimming pool. Sauna. Large garage (parking can be difficult in Ronda like many Spanish towns).
