'Teag Beag' in the hamlet of Goué, nestled beside the Foret de Lanouée, is a deceptively spacious stone house on three levels which has been fully renovated to modern standards, whilst retaining all of it’s traditional attractive features including oak beams throughout. It is located just 7 minutes drive from the medieval town of Josselin, with all it’s tourist attractions; famous Chateau de Rohan, 17th Century half-timbered buildings, bars, shops and restaurants. There is also a lively Saturday street market. It is just 12 minutes drive to the larger town of Ploermel, which has many shopping amenities to cater for most tastes. . Situated between Goué and Ploermel is Lac au Duc...a large lake with two beaches, restaurant/crêperie, water-sports centre and nine hole golf-course nearby. The local area is great for exploring by car, on foot or by bicycle. Superb beaches can be found all along the Morbihan coast.

A great holiday home

As a family of 6, plus a dog, we needed a good-sized holiday home and this home was nearly perfect for us. It has been recently fully renovated to a very good standard with several bedrooms, bathrooms, a relaxing lounge and a great modern kitchen that includes a ten-seater table. The location is beautiful with good walks nearby and easy access by car to the main tourist spots of Vannes, St. Malo, Mont-San-Michel, Rochefort, etc.South coast is 45-60 mins by car, north coast more like 60-75 mins. There are also good supermarkets and petrol stations in Josselin (5 mins by car) and Ploermel (15 mins). Owners Franc and Wendy were very welcoming. Highly recommended.

Lovely place of space and peace

We are a family of four so this holiday gite was very spacious, with plenty of room for privacy as well as family time together. The house is gorgeous stone, old-style French with all amenities, situated in a tiny little hamlet, where you have the opportunity to get to know deeply the real sense of the place. It's also very convenient to the old historic city of Josselin with supermarkets and all you need nearby. Less than an hour takes you to the lovely sandy beaches of the Morbihan south coast, where the sea is lovely for a swim and the food is great. Being in central Brittany, it's also easy to visit cities like Vannes, Rennes and also the forests of Paimpont and Huelgoat. We had a lovely time and the owners were on site if you needed anything. Our favourite was their family dog, Corino, who welcomed us home each day - and that will stay in our hearts... Thanks for a great holiday!

Nous venons pour la deuxième fois dans ce gîte magnifique ! La maison est tenue et parfaitement impeccable ! Spacieuse et bien agencée . Tout est à portée de main. La déco a une touche british. Pour dire deux mots sur les hôtes Wendy et Franc, ils sont d’une gentillesse inégalable, d’une générosité profonde. Nous avons trouvé un pied à terre pour nos vacances bretonnes qui seront tjrs chez Wendy et Franc car au delà d’être des hôtes parfaits ce sont des amis formidables ❤️

Un merveilleux moment pour le réveillon de la St Sylvestre

Bonjour, Nous avions réservé ce logement pour passer le réveillon avec un couple d'amis. Nous étions deux couples avec deux enfants chacun. Nous avons trouvé exactement ce que nous cherchions pour notre séjours de 3 nuits. Une maison anicienne dans un petit village, rénovée avec goût dans lequel nous nous sommes sentis tous très bien dès notre arrivée. Le logement était d'une propreté irréprochable et extrêmement bien équipé. Au RDC, une cuisine très spacieuse pour manger à 8 voire 10, une buanderie avec des toilettes. A côté un salon très cocooning avec un poêle où nous avons pu passer de bons moments à jouer avec les enfants. A l'étage, une salle de bain avec toilettes très spacieuse et trois grandes chambres toutes aussi jolies les unes que les autres. Au 2ème étage, une suite parentale vraiment très spacieuse avec salle de bain privative et toilettes (un vrai privilège dont ma compagne et moi avons pu profiter). A l'extérieur, un patio avec barbecue. Nous n'avons rien à redire sur la qualité de ce logement. Nous vous invitons à venir le découvrir et surtout à rencontrer les propriétaires. Nous avons pu échanger avec eux avant le séjour de manière très simple. Ils ont été à la fois très discrets mais aussi très attentionnés en nous offrant par exemple des œufs frais que nous avons trouvé le matin à notre réveil en partant nous promener. Je n'oublie pas la ville de Josselin qui est vraiment à découvrir ainsi que la région en général. Nous y retournerons certainement avec plaisir. Merci beaucoup à Mr et Mme O'Brien pour ses merveileux souvenirs.

Une très belle surprise

Bel accueil merci à Wendy et Franc Maison très propre, équipée, grande, beaucoup de charme, de beaux espaces. Beaucoup mieux que sur les photos ! M. et Mme. O'Brien and 4 children moved to France in 2006. We live permanently in the village of Goue and our children are bi-lingual in French and English. We love the rural lifestyle and every day appreciate the tranquility and beauty of the area and feel very lucky to be able to raise a family in such a safe and friendly environment. We appreciate the freedom we have gained to grow our own fruit and vegetables and raise our own animals. We have integrated completely with our French neighbours but have not lost touch with our roots. We have enjoyed renovating 'Teag Beag' and hopefully this is reflected in its style and quality.
