Located in Calheta, Madeira island, Paradise House Calheta is a modern and luxurious property which offers Magnificent views over the sea and mountain. Featuring free Wi-Fi, the house features includes a big private garage, 3 spacious double bedrooms, 3 big sized bathrooms 1 bathroom includes a hot tub which is very relaxing and an elegant living room.
Includes a garden, around the house there’s lots of different beautiful species of flowers, such as "Lady Slipper” which is one of the most traditional Madeiran Christmas flowers, there’s also plenty of wonderful Orchids.

The Setting
Paradase House Calheta is located in the municipality of Calheta you can get to Calheta beach in only 2 minutes by car our 15 minute walk. You can also get to the mountains in 10 minutes by car, these mountains have the best hikes you can do in Madeira Island “25 fontes - Risco”. Calheta has the best climate in our Island, which makes it very beneficial to go to the beach and to hike around our magnificent mountains and "Levadas".
Nearly the house there's a cultural center, a template library, hospital, sand beach, supermarket, a museum, walking trails, snack bars, restaurants, gym, sea trips for watching wales and dolphins.

Other things to consider
The southwestern coast of Madeira (Calheta) is ideal for all those, looking for unspoilt nature and the warmest climate, far away from the usual tourism centres. In the winter season it still offers very moderate temperatures so that you can even swim in the atlantic nearby. You reach the sea by an artificial sandy beach, built in 2006 with imported sand from Marocco. Beside the beach you find the Marina with bars and restaurants and elegant yachts. From here you can start several excursions by boat.
An old sugar cane factory is working once a year (march/april) but open throughout the whole year, you can taste the products made in the factory.
For all those who like to walk, here is the ideal place to start: the national park Rabaçal - Worlds nature heritage (UNESCO) - is perfect for Levada walks such as “25 fontes / Risco waterfall”. Here you find our beautiful florist which is called "Floresta Laurissilva" here you can enjoy the unspoilt nature.

Depending on the time you visit us there’s endless activities to do, you can assist to religious celebrations or to various events on the island, like Christmas, New Year’s Eve, Carnival, Flower Party and plenty more.

Would definitely stay here again :-)

We wanted a place out of Funchal in a regular neighborhood and found this place. The owner, Simone, was delightful and left us welcome gifts as a bonus. The place was spotless, the view and outside great, and the bath tubs were wonderful to lay in after a day of hiking. Everything about the house was perfect and we loved that you pull right into the garage. We walked to the bakery every morning. Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing!!

My family and I enjoyed a fantastic stay at Paradise House! We loved the beautiful house, which had stunning views of Calheta and the sunset. Simone was an excellent and friendly host, and she made us feel very welcome during our stay. She responded to any questions we had very promptly, and made sure we were comfortable the whole time. We highly recommend this house to anyone planning on visiting Madeira!

Relaxing holidays in a really nice house

We spent 2 nice weeks on the island of Madeira using the "Paradise House" in Calheta as hub for our hiking and spotting tours. The house is a really nice location to relax after dicovering the island. We found everything we need for the holidays - a well equipped kittchen, comfortable living room, 3 sleeping rooms, 3 bathrooms, BBQ-oven, ... The interior decoration of the house is really beautiful - a good mix of nostalgic and mordern elements. Thanks to Simone and her family for the great support!

Blissful stay in Paradise House

Paradise House was the perfect home from home for my family. Watching the sunrise and sunset from the terrace was incredible. The house was equipped with everything we needed, beds were comfortable and it's very spacious. Simkne was a wonderful host, very attentive and accommodating. It is best to have a car, but if you don't, there are cabs near by, and the bus stop is just a short walk down the hill. We would love to stay here again when we return to Madeira. leider konnte unser Flugzeug wegen der Windverhältnisse nicht auf Madeira landen. Auch in den nächsten Tagen war ein Anflug nicht möglich, unser Urlaub auf Madeira endete damit bereits ohne dass er begonnenen hatte. Vielleicht gibt es ja eine Möglichkeit zumindest eine Feierstunde für die gebuchte Wohnung zu bekommen. Wäre ein feiner Zug.

Wunderbares Haus mit einzigartigen Blick auf den Atlantik!

Wir hatten das Glück 6 Wochen in dem Haus zu verbringen. Traumhafte Lage und ein wundervolles Haus. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Es hatte eine tolle Ausstattung und alles war sehr gepflegt. Simone ist eine tolle Gastgeberin. Sie hat uns mit Bananen und Eiern versorgt. Sie war auch immer sehr hilfsbereit und hat uns bei allen Problemen immer geholfen. Countryside Domizil zwischen Meer und Bergen

Ein Haus nur für uns, ohne direkte Nachbarn. Trotzdem unweit zu Strand und Hafen von Calheta, dort Restaurants und Pingo Doce Supermarkt. Vom Domizil nur 15 min. per Auto zum Parkplatz für einige (einfache bis mittelschwere) Levadawanderungen rund um das Forsthaus Rabaçal. Von der windgeschützten Sonnenterrasse des Domizils, geschmückt mit prachtvollen Orchideen, schöner Panoramablick auf den Atlantik, mit romantischen Sonnenuntergängen. Das Haus, inklusive Küche, ist voll ausgestattet für einen längerfristigen Aufenthalt. Stilvolle Einrichtung, alles blitzsauber. Garage im EG inklusive. Host Simone war einfach großartig: sehr herzliche Begrüßung mit traditionellem Honigkuchen, Rotwein, frischen Hühnereiern und den köstlichsten Avocados, die wir jemals gegessen haben. Simone war immer herzlich, stets ansprechbar und, falls nötig, sofort zur Stelle. Insgesamt: Wir haben die 4 Wochen im Paradise House von Simone sehr genossen und können diese Unterkunft zu 100% weiterempfehlen!

Paradise House is a paradise.

Paradise House in Calheta is everything the online listing says it is and more. The house is beautiful. It was extremely clean, comfortable and spacious. It had all the comforts of home and on check in we were made to feel at home immediately. Incidentally the property manager was very flexible about our check in which we appreciated very much. The owner of the house and her son were extremely helpful, courteous and friendly. The location is very good for access to the beach considering this is Madeira and how challenging the driving can be. It is close to stores and easy access to main roads. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there especially the million euro views of the sun setting over the ocean. Absolutely stunning. Everything was perfect and we would highly recommend Paradise House Calheta.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans une maison qui porte bien son nom "Paradise House". Haut perchée, la vue sur la mer est magnifique et l'endroit est vraiment calme avec un côté campagne. Calheta bénéficie d'une plage de sable fin et est le point de départ idéal pour visiter l'île. Simone, la propriétaire de la maison est disponible et très sympathique. A fabulous place to stay whilst exploring the beautiful island of Madeira.

Paradise House was a lovely, comfortable, welcoming and brilliantly appointed villa. We had a fantastic holiday in Madeira and this house made it perfect. It is perfectly located to allow visitors to explore the whole island from Funchal in the east to Porto Moniz in the north west. The lavada walks close to the house have beautiful views and it is within easy reach of the more popular, dramatic lavada walks such as Lev dad 25 Fontes. The villa is close to amenities, with small shops within easy walking distance and a larger supermarket, a short drive away. The beach in Calheta is great for children, along with a small play area. The villa itself has everything you need, including a barbecue and private patio and a lovely outdoor dining area with stunning views over the sea. I would highly recommend this house to anyone wishing to explore Madeira.

We waren de eerste vakantiehuurders in dit huis, kleine puntjes moeten nog even op de i gezet worden (zoals de derde! douche aansluiten), maar dit is een heerlijke goed verzorgde vakantiewoning met privacy. Vakantie zoals vakantie bedoeld is;). Geweldig!

Why they chose this property

We built this property in 2006, when we came back from South Africa, it was built in Calheta by the simple fact that it is a piceful place and close to the best attractions, and also due to the excellent climate that exists in Calheta even in winter we have very moderate temperatures.

What makes this property unique

In our property there are several flowers such as “Lady Slippers " and "Orchids" of all species and colors, we have a balcony where you can capture an excellent sunset and a views over the mountains and sea. Inside we have 3 bedrooms that are very comfortable, we have 3 bathrooms one of them includes a hot tub which is great for relaxing in the late afternoon, the rest house contains furniture of excellent quality, as well as 2 kitchens with all the necessary equipment to spend the holidays in great conditions.
