Family getaway

Great Summer Vacation on Long Lake

We had a great vacation at this property. There were nine in total, 4 adults and 5 kids (8, 8, 6, 6, 1). The house was well set up and well stocked and the location on the lake was perfect.

Fantastic vacation home

We rented this home for a vacation with our adult children and 2 grandkids. The location was wonderful and peaceful. Family vacation

We came to Traverse City from Los Angeles to attend a family wedding weekend. We wanted to have the ultimate lake experience and succeeded in staying at this beautiful home located in a picturesque spot. The home has every amenity you could imagine and plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The setting is peaceful and calm with plenty to do within a 15 minute drive.

Great View on Long Lake

Great location for family vacation. This house has everything for a fun time on the lake. Enjoyed the evenings by the campfire and days playing in the water and kayaking. Also rented jet skis for a day. This home is just a short drive to Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Torch Lake, and many quaint towns in the area.

Amazing lake house on Long Lake

We stayed for a week in August. It was absolutely perfect. The house is beautiful. The kitchen has all the dishes, glasses, and pots you would need for an extended vacation. The house is right on the water. It is shallow out to the end of the dock, so perfect for our 9 year old to play and practice kayaking. They have 2 kayaks for your use. We enjoyed the firepit down by the water every night. It was so peaceful. We didn't want to leave and hope to make it back to this amazing lake house.

Great Winter Escape

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Long Lake Escape. We found the house fully stocked with what we needed to cook most of our meals. The grocery store is a short 5 minutes away and we even had Door Dash deliver a few lunches to our doorstep from nearby Traverse City. The owner even left us 2021 party favors since we were staying over the new year - how thoughtful! We drove every day to Crystal Mountain to ski and loved coming back to the comfortable, impeccably appointed home to unwind. We loved having access to the garage so that we could easily load and unload our ski stuff out of the elements and the house's giant mudroom was great for laying out coats and mittens to dry. We would definitely stay here again if we were looking for a midwest ski getaway.

Our Family Getaway!!

I just wanted to share with you about our getaway in Traverse City! Wow....what a beautiful home!!! The views of the lake were spectacular from many rooms in the house! The lake was clean and clear...just a bit chilly~ I knew that going into our trip since it was only the beginning of June. Everything in this home was so clean and well taken care of~ Top of the top!!! We had everything that we needed! The welcome basket was a nice touch too!!! I felt the location was perfect! You could easily navigate to a store...restaurant...church.... you name it!! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us! I would highly recommend this vacation rental!!

Pictures and descriptions do NOT do this property justice. Everything from booking to our departure exceeded our expectations to the point we were actually bummed we weren't able to spend more time AT the house (although we thoroughly enjoyed a lovely winery tour and several restaurants). We felt like we were personal guests of the owners and couldn't get over the layout, views and mood the décor set. We will be back!

Summer Family Reunion

This home was perfect for our family reunion!. The property was very clean and well appointed with plenty of supplies for us to cook and grill our evening meals. There was plenty of space for our family (6 adults and one infant) to spread out in the home and all have some privacy. The views of the lake are outstanding and enjoyed from both inside and from the lovely deck area. There were two kayaks available and enjoyed by everyone. All linens, towels and beds were very good quality. The Long Lake area is a beautiful place and the nearby city of Traverse City is easy to get to and has a lot of fun things to do. We would definitely return to this home.

We have been married 20 years and have lived in 3 different states. Michigan is a beautiful place to live and the place we hope to call home for many years to come. We enjoy outdoor activities such as biking, walking and exploring. Traverse City is one of our favorite places to explore. The winery and brewery tours are also one our favorite activities to do in Traverse City. We love all of the festivals that Traverse hosts throughout the summer, and highly recommend attending if one is in town. Being an Italian family, we also love to eat, and Traverse City has some wonderful restaurants with outstanding food and spirits.

Why they chose this property

We immediately fell in love with this property from the moment we walked in and saw the gorgeous view of Long Lake from the windows. Having access to Long Lake just steps from the house was very appealing, and the fact that the water is shallow near the house so we could easily swim and play was very exciting. We enjoy drinking our coffee on the terrace in the morning and making smores by the firepit at night. The sound of Loones is so calming and fishing off the dock is a favorite family pastime. The home is so cozy and inviting and the upgrades throughout the house allow us the conveniences of home.

What makes this property unique

The unique benefits you will enjoy when staying at Long Lake Escape include the upgraded chef's kitchen with all the cookware you will need to create a gourmet meal. Also, the large windows throughout the home allow for stunning sunset views of Long Lake, from the Living room, walk-out basement living room and bedroom, and from the Master bedroom. There are four bedroom that allow for up to 10 people to sleep comfortably. The master suite has a master bathroom with all the upgrades to allow for total relaxation and comfort. The walk-out level has a separate full kitchen that allows for more food and drink storage and preparation. There is a large screen projector TV in the walk-out level that feels like your at the movie theater. There are flat screen TV's in the main floor living room and Master bedroom with cable television and DVD player access. There are board games/puzzles and DVD movies for our guests to enjoy. We provide 2 kayaks that our guests can use during the stay and the dock allows for boat/jet ski parking within steps from the home.
