We all had a lovely weekend together my self all my children their partners and their children a total of 16 . The house was lovely and comfortable. The only hitch was no wifi and considering we had 7 teens in the house it was not missed too much.

Dear Vivienne,
Thank you for your kind feedback. We really were sorry about the problem with the wi-fi and thank you so much for your patience and this has now been corrected
We were a group of 16 (10 adults 6 kids 8 and under) and 2 dogs. This was a great house for us plenty of space in all rooms so we could socialise together or if needed have space from each other. Also quiet sound proof compared to other houses we have stayed at so the different times people went to bed/got up didn’t provide a problem. Location was great lots of stuff to see and do locally and plenty of shops etc. Would return
We had a wonderful time here with a group of 12 of us for a family birthday celebration. All the rooms are large and the provisions in the house are excellent from loads of glasses and plates to plastic cutlery, cleaning items and ice in the fridge! The table tennis and pool table were a big hit and the house was lovey and clean. Ken was so helpful on arrival. We got the gosport ferry over to Portsmouth which the children thought was great and spent a great few hours wandering the dockyard looking at the ships gift shop and little museums etc which was free if you don’t physically go aboard the boats
Large quirky property, plenty of room for all of the family. Decor rather tired looking but it is an old property. Large garden and plenty of parking ( 4 cars) our grandchildren loved the trampoline and the pool table and table tennis.
Plenty if room for all to be comfy and large dining tables to enjoy family meals. We were there for our 50th wedding anniversary with our family and had a great weekend.
Everything was arranged smoothly, from booking to reception to leaving the property, a comfortable house and all facilities were provided, I would certainly recommend the property to larger parties.
From the start to finish we had a excellent time, the property was excellent and the descriptions were as it was when you arrived so very pleased, the property was very well equipped and we enjoyed everything about the h stay
Would recommend this to other family and friends and if required a place to stay for this many again would definitely go back
Thank you for making my daughters 21st so special
We all really enjoyed our stay at this property. Its a very large house in a nice location with only a 20 minute walk and 3 minute ferry in to Portsmouth. The property manager was a kind and very helpful and overall made the trip even more enjoyable, nothing seemed to be to much trouble . The house was clean and well furnished. My only advice would be for large or party groups it is in a very quiet residential area so as to not disturb the neighbours the volume levels need to be down relatively early.

Overall it was a very good stay enjoyed the space and activities.
Little things brought the rating down such as the oven door broken. The fence was broken and as we had dogs this was a major upset we had to makeshift covering to prevent the dogs escaping.

Hi Karon,
Thank you for your kind comments and for bringing to our attention about the oven and the fence. The fence has since been mended but the oven was more problematic, with the parts being obsolete, so a new range cooker has been ordered. This type of feedback is invaluable to us to help us improve so thank you again.
We were celebrating some significant family birthdays so wanted to be together but with room to be in small family groups if needed. The house is ideal for this. There were 2 large lounges and a very large dining room which converted into a games room. Our grandchildren had great fun learning pool and table tennis. The kitchen was large and well fitted out. Bedrooms were large and comfortable. There were 3 bathrooms/shower rooms all in good working order. The garden was large enough for outside games, a trampoline, two large picnic tables and a large bbq.
It is walkable to the beach and the ferry. Also to a few restaurants. We were able to get takeaways delivered and there was a very convenient Aldi nearby.
There was plenty of parking front and back.
Ken, our contract, was really helpful before and on check in, explaining everything we needed to know about the house and the area, and giving us links to restaurants.
A really lovely long weekend in a very comfortable home.
We had great communication and help with our booking. Nothing was too much trouble. Spent Friday to Monday for a massive 80th Birthday Family Party for my Dad. The grandkids and their kids enjoyed the games room which was easy to convert from dining to Poole and table tennis room and it was spacious yet still very clean and comfy. Lovely garden which we did not use as our stay was at end the end ofNov’19.
Many thanks,Karren
Really great weekend at this house - the company was professional and ensured a smooth process. The house was very tidy and had everything we needed. Would recommend!
Lovely place for the price and sleep size but beware of the neighbours especially if you have kids.
We had a lovely time. The property offers a lot for entertainment both inside and out in the garden. But only down side is the neighbours. Neighbour to the right of the property is good as gold but the two to the left could be a real pain. They kept knocking on our door and phoning the house keeper to keep the noise down because our kids were too loud in the garden during normal hours.
Really ridiculous.

Dear Dion,
Thank you for your kind comments about the property but I feel the comments about the neighbours is a little unfair.
We do feel it unfair that a neighbour should have to pop round on a Monday evening at 11pm because the music is being played a too loud (to the point that you couldn't hear them knocking). They did say you were extremely apologetic and did turn it down straight away but your feedback is a little misleading.
For any guests, wherever they are in the country, we feel their immediate neighbours should be shown reasonable consideration and anything less would be unfair. I did mention this the next evening at 7pm when I popped round to see you and again you could not hear me knocking because the level of the music.
I feel this part of your feedback is a bit misleading but we are glad you had a good time. It certainly sounding so.
Best regards
Ken

Fantastic place to stay and Home Away were great
The property 18 of us stayed in was very good, clean and tidy.
Agree from 4 to 70 we’re there for a 70th celebrations.
Really enjoyed it. The property could do with a bit of modernisation as the windows are old, but still ok.
Overall I would recommend this property and area for people just wanting to get away for the weekend.
All the Best
