Castle Hill House stands in the historic grounds of Tutbury Castle in a fantastic elevated position above the village of Tutbury on the banks of the River Dove. The castle forms a dramatic backdrop to Castle Hill House, a perfect location for a tranquil getaway to the countryside, family celebration or simply for a beautiful base from which to explore with your family and friends. There are many fabulous spaces both in and outside Castle Hill House to relax and unwind during your stay. The beautiful high ceilings, deep windows and attractive archways let the light pour in and the grand staircase and large hallways give the feeling of grandeur. The house has both Georgian and Victorian sections giving it a wealth of character and is immaculately decorated throughout with luxurious deep pile carpets, chandeliers and beautiful decorative cornice work. There is plenty to keep children entertained at Castle Hill House and it is the perfect environment for the adults to social.

An incredible Christmas spent with friends and family at Castle Hill House. Outstanding accommodation, located near to the local shops, pubs & restaurants. Lisa the host was professional and most attentive to any of our needs or requests. 5 stars for the whole Tutbury experience.

A great weekend

We had a great weekend at Castle Hill House, celebrating my 30th birthday with family and friends. There were 15 of us staying at the property which meant there were plenty of beds, bathrooms and overall space for us. We loved the kitchen and lounge areas, and the garden area was perfect for a BBQ! The castle backdrop gave a beautiful background and setting. There was also plenty of parking, easily fitting our 6 cars and space for more. I would highly recommend a stay at Castle Hill House!

Amazing family reunion

We spent Easter weekend at Castle Hill House and honestly couldn’t have had a better time. It was the perfect location for our family reunion. There were 19 of us ranging from 1 years old to about 60. The children loved it (especially the garden) and so did the adults. Everything you needed was provided, it’s been very well thought through as to what a big group of people would need (the 2 dishwashers was a great idea!). We hope to be back at some point in the future. Thank you for the great communication Lisa you have been wonderful!

Great family weekend away

Our family of 25, really enjoyed playing outside in the garden. Also enjoyed the games room activities too. Going for walks around the area was lovely too. Plenty of car parking spaces. We fitted 6 cars and there was still room for more.
