True Wine Country Living: 2BR Converted Milkbarn on Family Vineyard
A Historic Sonoma Retreat Full of Heart, History & Wine Country Charm
Hi there, I’m Cecilia, and I’m so happy to welcome you to our family’s vineyard and the Milkbarn Cottage. This special home sits right in the middle of our working vineyard in Forestville, in the heart of Sonoma County’s Russian River Valley.
The cottage was originally a milk barn built generations ago, and it still holds that timeless charm, weathered cinderblock walls, a tin roof, and original windows that have seen decades of country sunsets. We restored it by hand, blending the rustic with the comfortable, so it feels like coming home, even if it’s your first visit.
The Space
The Milkbarn Cottage is about 1,100 square feet and offers:
*Two cozy bedrooms and one bath *A fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances *A warm, inviting living area with a large TV, Apple TV, and YouTube TV *Air conditioning and heating *Wi-Fi for streaming or work (please note: cell service is spotty or unavailable depending on your carrier) *An outdoor patio overlooking the vines
It’s a peaceful place to slow down, cook a meal, share a bottle of our family’s Enriquez Estate Wine, and enjoy life at a gentler pace.
Life on the Vineyard
Our property is a working vineyard and small farm, so depending on the season, you might see vineyard maintenance, hear tractors in the distance, or catch glimpses of harvest. We also have friendly outdoor dogs, cats, and sometimes free-roaming chickens.
The property is open to nature, which means it’s not unusual to see and hear coyotes, or even the occasional snake passing through the vineyard. We do our best to keep things tidy and comfortable, but the original barn windows sometimes let in small visitors like spiders or bugs. We like to think of them as part of the authentic country experience!
You’re invited to enjoy our wines during your stay (available for purchase), wander the vineyard paths, or simply sit with a glass and watch the fog roll over the valley.
What to Expect
This is country living at its most peaceful: simple, beautiful, and a little unpredictable.
Please know:
*Quiet hours: 10 PM – 7 AM *Pets welcome with an additional fee (please supervise outdoors, property is unfenced) *TOT Certificate: #2534N *No smoking on property *Wi-Fi available but cell service limited *Occasional power or internet interruptions may occur during storms or heat waves
If you’re used to city living, this will feel like a step back in time, in the best way. Here, mornings start with birdsong and evenings end with starlight.
Location
We’re minutes from downtown Forestville, Sebastopol, and Healdsburg, close to some of the best wineries, restaurants, and small-town markets in Sonoma County. The Russian River is just down the road if you want to kayak or picnic by the water, and the coast is only about 30 minutes away.
I’m always happy to share local recommendations or help you craft an itinerary that fits your pace, from wine tasting and farm visits to hikes, bike tours, and hidden local gems.
From Our Family to Yours
This isn’t just a place to stay, it’s a place to belong. So take a breath, pour a glass, and let time slow down. You’re home now, among the vines, the quiet, and the simple beauty of Sonoma County.
Welcome to the Milkbarn Cottage.

Excellent location with only a short (~15 min) drive to many Sonoma wineries as well as Healdsburg, Guerneville, Russian river, etc. It is well stocked with a full kitchen, towels, lounge area, and board games. It is positioned on a quiet winery and provides very comfortable accommodations.

We loved our stay in the milk barn. It was quiet countryside, was very comfortable and great location for being near some great wineries. It was about 15 min outside of Healdsburg, 15 min from Windsor, and 15 min from Graton. All beautiful quaint towns in Sonoma County with wonderful restaurants (Single Thread in Healdsburg, Willow Wood Market for brunch in Graton and Catelli’s in Geyserville. Plus you are near some of the best wineries in Sonoma—J’s in Healdsburg, Merry Edwards in Graton or Locals in Geyserville where you can taste wines from several small wineries in a single place. We will go back again.
We enjoyed our stay at this location. A house on a winery, you can't beat that! The house had all the amenities we needed and located close to all wineries and restaurants. We also enjoyed wine tasting on site which was a real treat.

Meredith was incredible! The wine tasting, box of goodies, and knowledge of the area, wines, grounds, was impressive. Our stay was wonderful! Comfortable, warm, cozy, beautiful walks, great tour, and wonderful communication from host.

The house and property are very pretty and quiet. Outside the house is country / rustic - very instagrammable! Inside the house is spacious and clean with newer furnishings. The couch and beds are very comfortable. The kitchen is very nice, with higher quality glasses & dishes, coffee creamers, full spice rack, sugar packets, nice cabinets and countertops and appliances -- the things that make a difference! Outside the house there is a patio with lights over a pergola and views of the vineyard. You can just walk over to the main barn for a tasting. We booked the 10:30 ATV tour with lunch and a tasting with Meredith. It was the BEST way to start the day. Meredith is so lovely and the property is beautiful. It was so relaxing and the wine was really good - we especially liked the pinot and tempranillo. We can't wait to come back! Lastly, it's an easy 15 minute drive into Healdsburg.
This home is a beautiful & peaceful property to stay at. It was easy to relax & enjoy the setting.

Perfect Wine country getaway cottage!
Can't say enough great things about our time here! First off the property is on a great working winery on quiet Eastside road in Forestville. It is such a true Sonoma County experience with the beautiful red barn, surrounding rolling hills covered in vineyards, and endless open space! The cottage itself is so cute, clean and comfortable! It is newly renovated so everything feels fresh, neat, and new. The hosts, Dana and Cecilia are incredibly warm and hospitable and extremely knowledgeable about the area. As big food and wine lovers themselves, they had plenty of recommendations of places for us to visit after we did a tasting of their own delicious wine!
Highly recommend!

Quiet, charming with the perfect location!
This vacation home is amazing! Newly renovated, quiet and charming with beautiful views from every room. Home is perfectly located near other amazing wineries, restaurants and is a 10 minute drive to multiple Sonoma county towns.
Everything in the home is new, clean and tastefully decorated with ample storage and privacy. The owner is easy to work with and has incredible wines to taste as well! I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a private, relaxing and carefree weekend getaway.

Why they chose this property
Our first trip to Sonoma County wine country was back in 2009. It was a trip where nothing went as planned but everything fell into place. My family and I instantly fell in love with the area. Our property truly encompasses the old school wine industry lifestyle.
What makes this property unique
Our family's property has many unique characteristics. First a dairy, then a golf course, and finally a vineyard. Walking around the property you catch a glimpse into each of it's stages. The endless vineyard views emits beauty and tranquility. The 5000sqft barn reminds us it's a working vineyard farm.
