Inside it is clean, modern and filled with light from the double glass doors to the private terrace and garden area. The furniture is stylish and the apartment has all the necessary equipment and amenities for a relaxed self catering holiday plus air conditioning units in the main rooms. The RioMar 13 gated development has 6 blocks of apartments, each has 2 storeys and in total there are approximately 90 apartments in the development surrounding a large shared swimming pool with Jacuzzi and shallow area for children. There is a small children’s play/park area and an indoor games room/community room. This is a quiet development with most apartments owner occupied and around a quarter let for holiday rentals.

Easy to find and park, this secure gated community with a lovely communal pool was great for a week away. Mil Palmeras was a 15 minute walk away with lots of restaurants and a night market. The beach in Mil Palmeras is also good with plenty for the children to do and some great beach bars.
We stayed as a small group, myself, daughter and granddaughter, loved the pool and the whole complex, about 10-15 minute walk to the beach and restaurants but felt very safe, quiet area. Apartment is well equipped and garden is lovely and shady in the afternoons

Well situated with homely feeling, I think it was more for a couple with kids. The beds in second bedroom where more fir children as couples in late 60’s they were very uncomfortable. Overall nice place to stay for a few days.
The apartment is nice, very clean and quite well equipped. The contacts and check in process were totally all right.
Unfortunately the 2 persons bed is pretty small and the pillows not so comfy. We didn’t have very good nights.
The exterior space gets very few sunlight and isn’t appropriate to chill out.
It’s a nice place if you want to move out a lot in the region by car. And the apartment is child friendly 😊

Cheap bedding and towels.

Leftover items in cupboards and drawers
Bathroom drawer - disgusting, used tampon tubes, toilet roll tubes.
Other bits and pieces. BBQ filthy full of ash.
I did speak to owner at first instance, who did refund £150, but that was before we found no end of other things. I then asking for a further refund but refused. I feel very angry and cheated.

It is disputed that kitchen cupboards are filthy, this guests complaint to us on the phone about the kitchen was that other guests had left packaged food in kitchen cupboards that was untidy (she didn’t tell us it was filthy) as is normal in self catering accommodation some guests leave packaged items for others thinking they may be useful (dishwasher tablets/ketchup/children’s pool toys etc) this guest took issue with this saying it was untidy although she accepted they were all out of sight in cupboards.
She contacted us 7 days into her stay and the language she used and persistence for a refund, then a 50% refund made us think she may complain regularly to reduce the cost of her holiday accommodation.
At first we did give her an almost 20% refund of the cost of her stay as we were caught off guard as we don’t usually receive any complaints. She then continued to complain finding new issues at 12 and 13 days into her stay and then requesting a 50% refund for what she called her ‘holiday from hell’.
Her other issues - and our responses;
‘The exterior bins were too far from the apartment‘ - When the bin at the property is full it can be emptied in the large waste bins just outside the development gates, this is normal in Spain.
‘There were no sun loungers round the pool’ - loungers are not pictured as being round the pool. The apartment provides loungers for the apartment garden which guests can take to the pool if they wish however she requested a refund of her holiday instead and a partial refund of £150 was agreed and accepted.
‘The barbecue had been left dirty’ - a barbecue is not listed as being provided, someone bought one and left it for others to use. We would invite guests who use this to leave it clean for other guests as the cleaner does not have time to clean a barbecue that we do not provide.
‘Cheap bedding and towels’ - they are typical high street stores bedding and towels, they are clean and good condition. They are not 5 star hotel Egyptian cotton sheets. New towels are purchased each year, older towels are left in case guests need to use multiple towels during their stay, guests can choose which to use.
‘Rubbish in bathroom drawer’ - on day 13 she said on the phone she found a toilet roll inner tube and tampax tube in a bathroom drawer. We would expect previous guests to use the bins provided in every bathroom and not put rubbish in drawers. We have now asked that the cleaner checks every bathroom drawer as this is a reasonable complaint, albeit found on day 13 when our guest was seemingly looking for complaints to support her demand for a further 50% refund.
This is a self catering apartment holiday in Spain, it is clean and maintained and competitively priced compared to other self catering accommodation in the area and we have many good reviews from happy guests who are happy with the cleanliness and facilities.
When we advised our guest we couldn’t offer a further refund she threatened to complain to Vrbo and leave a terrible review. She is entitled to do so and we are sorry she did not enjoy her stay as it’s standards were not to her expectations.

After e mailing the owner about the lack of tea towels only one manky one,one manky bedroom light ,shade all split ,lights not working quality of towels ,no cushions no ,rug on floor ,split dried up shower curtain ,smell from cooker hood not been cleaned for months ,no shelves in cooker oven they had been removed on;y one pan which could be used, no line ,pegs for washing ,no proper cutlery just three teaspoons of differing size plus various knives and forks ,no large knives to use.,no washing basket,condition of quilts very suspect ,no saucepans various reasonable crockery glasses no wine glasses.The owner did replace some of these when I e mailed her some came roughly ten days before we came home .The advert says maid service and cleaning once a week which was laughed out by the key holder .We were told the garage was un reachable because of the position of it. We were after the 2nd e mail a refund of nights not used ,I could go on ,not a good experience but we made the best of it .I think you need to check up more with the owners about the state of your lettings
Die wohnung hat uns super gut gefallen. Sie ist groß, sauber und hat alles was man braucht.
Leider fanden wir die Lage nicht so gut. Die schnellstraße ist deutlich zu hören und aufgrund des flusses hinter der Anlage gibt es viele mücken. Außderdem gibt es in der nachbarschaft einen großen hund, der ständig bellt.

Mijn ouders hadden dit appartement gehuurd. Onze kinderen logeerden bij opa en oma in Rio Mar XIII en wij hadden dit fijne huisje. We hebben mooie dagen beleeft.
Buen alojamiento,todo segun fotos publicadas pero le faltaria mejoras en el menaje y ya que tiene jardin una limpieza del mobiliario cuando esperan viajeros
De locatie van de woning, die later wordt getoond kwam absoluut niet overeen met de gewenste locatie. Er zijn veel honden die blaffen gedurende de hele dag en het is vol met vliegen! Geen aanrader, enige positieve punt is dat alle kamers airco hebben.
Las fotos son tal y como es la vivienda. Cuando llegamos nos entrego las llaves un chico , Sam, que aunque hablaba solo inglés nos entendimos gracias a su novia española. Nos explico todo lo de la casa perfectamente. En cuanto a la casa estaba todo ok salvo alguna cosa de vajilla que faltaba y que tuvimos que reponer nosotros. Las camas supletorias estaban destrozadas ( es lo único malo) pero para mis hijos sirvieron aunque recomiendo al dueño que las cambie. La urbanización estaba bien y cerca de la playa. Tuvimos mala suerte con la piscina ya que solo la pudimos usar 2 veces en la semana que estuvimos debido a que el agua se quedó verde y tuvieron que hacer un tratamiento. El centro social para los de la urbanización estaba cerrado. Pero por lo demás bien zona tranquila y cerca de todo. Mercadona a 5 minutos en coche playa 3 minutos en coche y resto de las cosas como Cartagena a 30 minutos.
Return visitor to this apartment. Good location walking distance to beach and restauraunts. Apartment very clean and well presented. Property manager very helpful. As with other rentals a second set of apartment keys would be useful. Overall an excellent apartment and holiday
