This 3/4-bedroom villa with private pool is tastefully decorated and an ideal location for a family holiday.

The accommodation is spacious and has 3 large bedrooms, 2 en-suite bathrooms and a family bathroom which is located on the ground floor.

A further attraction of this villa is free high speed fibre internet wih enterprise grade WiFi throughout and premium UK TV channels. It also has the ability to use your own entertainment system with the 75 inch home cinema system.

The property also has a 4th bedroom, ideal for teenagers, as it is located on the lower ground floor adjacent to the state of the art games room complete with cinema room, pool table, games table and bar. In this area there is also a 4th bathroom with washing machine and dryer. Access to this section of the house is via the pool area and lower terrace.

As the villa is on 3 levels it may be unsuitable for persons with reduced mobility.

The beauty of this villa is its location although a car is recommended, it is not essential. The villa is close to 2 large supermarkets, and the centre of Lagos with all its amenities are less than a 15-minute walk away. The beaches can be reached on foot or local transport is available to visit the many coves.

In the evening enjoy a walk along the Avenida dos Descobrimentos to the Fort and watch the sun setting over the sea, before enjoying a beautiful meal in one of the many restaurants.

The town of Lagos is full of restaurants, cafes and bars to suit everyone offering a vibrant and exciting atmosphere with street entertainers, craft stalls and musicians making your holiday one to remember.

Lagos also offer an award winning marina with bars and restaurants, where you can also arrange a selections of boat trips and excursions.

Well Maintained Property Great for Large Groups

We loved our stay. Its easy walking distance to the Marina and old town. The place was well furnished and well maintained, with plenty of room and plenty to do. We'd definitely stay again.

The villa was very good, but it is at the top of a hill, beds were comfortable. The kitchen was amazing. The pool was excellent, my 3 year old granddaughter was in the water nearly all day. It was a very nice place to stay and we all had an amazing time

Perfect accomodation for our group

With 4 teenagers the villa was a perfect choice. Plenty of space. Pool was cleaned and checked regularly which was reassuring. We made use of the home from home facilities. We walked into the old town and marina which took about 20 minutes. Also walked to Praia meia. The hill back to the villa is steep but we're all relatively fit so was managable. Ben met us on our arrival with keys and instructions, good communication. All in a brilliant stay. Lagos is a wonderful place to explore and relax. regularly

Comfortable, well presented and convenient

The villa is exactly as described on the website- there were no surprises. It is spacious, well presented and comfortable. The main living/ dining area is well equipped, the wifi is reliable and the range of television channels excellent. The pool table was a great hit and provided many evenings of competition. Villa Afrique is extremely convenient for food shopping, access to the motorway and a very easy walk to Lagos marina. Algarve Retreats manage it well.

Lovely large house with pool and parking

We loved the spaciousness of this house and the air conditioning and the little pool on the terrace with floaties in it for use and the pool table. The kitchen worked fine, the space was comfortable and so were the beds. Some of us walked the 20 minutes to downtown; others took our car instead to avoid the hill, tho parking downtown is a bit tricky. We took the car to get to the beach for kayaking.

Comfortable townhouse living in Lagos

My family and I stayed in June, away from the busyness of Old Town but within easy walking distance. Super comfortable and spacious townhouse (3 floors) with 4 baths and plenty of room for my family. Huge kitchen and private pool. Looks like the first level was renovated recently with a giant TV and sound system and comfortable couch, bar, video game console and pool table -- which got a lot of action. Upstairs the kitchen is very spacious although kinda dark (I've dubbed it the Darth Vader kitchen). A/C was needed often as it was very hot for June, which most rooms had and cooled down the place quickly. Very quiet neighborhood on a hill above Old Town, which was only 15 min walk. Five minute walk to 2 grocery stores. The only cons I had were: the floors weren't totally clean, the living room couch was too uncomfortable to sit for any longer than 5 mins and the back slider lock was broken. I did call the management company who asked a locksmith to fix, but it seems like they never arrived, but we rigged a temporary stopper which seemed to work. Overall a very good stay.

Overall good

The villa was large and spacious. It is showing signs of wear and tear and requires some maintenance but it didn't hinder the experience. The view from bedrooms and terrace is disappointing. The check in wasn't smooth as although we had to call them 1h in advance to notify of our arrival time they were still 20 min late and didn't even apologize or try to call us to advise. Lots of kitchen utensils but most of them were dirty. Overall we did enjoy our stay but we expected better.

Lagos trip

We were very excited to stay at this place but when we arrived we were sorely disappointed. Off the bat, we found out that there’s only AC in the kitchen/living room and 2 bedrooms upstairs. It was advertised as AC house. Then we found out the AC remote is broken. Then we started using the washing machine only to find water all over the floor. No one told us we needed to do something with the hose to keep the water from leaking. The dryer doesn’t work, clothes do not dry completely. The best thing about the place is the location. The kitchen was also very nice. Needless to say, our 7 day stay at this place was disappointing.

A paradise home away from home

We had an absolutely beautiful time staying in this home. I almost wish I had stayed at a worse place because I would have seen more of Lagos. We chose this place after seeing the kitchen, and it definitely lived up to expectations. We cooked something new every night and found all the pots and pans and utensils would could possibly need. The dishwasher made it easy to keep pace. More than enough counter space, and a TON of pantry, refridgerator and freezer space. The pool and back porches get plenty of sun during the day, and a nice hilltop view. We had an idyllic time watching the birds flying around near sunset. There are two supermarkets within a 5 minute walk, a laundromat 10 minutes away, a butcher nearby, a calisthenics outdoor gym, and plenty of restaurants and cafes and shops. For all your adventuring, you can use thevpatking spot, or rely on quick ride sharing trips with bolt. The host was super accomodating and flexible. Our other plans had fallen through and they were very kind with our last minute scrambling to find lodging. I'm glad we ended up here, because it is much better! We were two travelers using both of the upstairs beds, and we vastly underutilized the space. This place would be great for a larger group and I'll be looking here first for my next trip to Lagos.

Spacious and comfortable with a few small but important tweaks needed

A lovely spacious house. A great place to stay if you are a family with teenagers and or young adults. There are a lot of positives about this house and we had an really lovely time. The rooms are spacious and there is plenty of storage and bathrooms for a comfortable stay. The games room is a real bonus and the management company were great at sorting new darts for the dart board given that there were lots there just all broken. The dart board and pool table were a real hit with the kids. Its just a shame these things werent checked before arrival. A heap of broken equipment is not a great impression. The beds in the main rooms were really comfortable and that is a a game changer for me. Aircon was very welcome but just a shame it isnt in the smaller bedroom or the bedroom in the games room where our eldest boy chose to sleep. Overall the house is great, but I would say looking tired and dated and in need of love in some areas. However, I feel if this was the case the rental price would go up considerably, and for us, this was an affordable holiday. The pool was lovely and cleaned twice during our stay. Again there are a few things that should be done so that the overall impact of the house isnt spoilt. Eg, one sunbed was broken and had to be moved away. The sun umbrella was broken, therefore again leaving an uncared for impression. The sunbeds were very dirty and needed wiping before using. But would I stay here again, yes for the space, parking, comfort and affordability.

Große Unterkunft mit guter Lage

Die Villa hat eine gute Lage (ca. 12 Minuten zum Stadtzentrum) und ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Die vier Bäder waren bei acht Leuten optimal. Der Pool ist warm und macht viel Spaß. Auch im Innenraum gab es genug Plätze für alle und es war cool auf verschiedenen Ebenen zu leben. Die Villa grenzt allerdings direkt an die Nachbarn und die haben auch direkten Blick auf unseren Pool und wir können sehen was sie draußen auf dem Balkon zum Abendbrot essen. Hat aber nicht weiter gestört. Insgesamt eine tolle Unterkunft. Komme gerne wieder!

Great villa

We were very pleased with this property. It was very spacious inside and lots of seating areas outside. Close to supermarkets and shops and not too far to the marina and the beach. This villa had everything we needed. We enjoyed our stay.

Il faut préciser que l’accès à la chambre située au niveau de la piscine se fait par l’extérieur ce qui est gênant si petits enfants. Il n’y a par ailleurs aucune protection pour la piscine (alarme, barrière...)

Beautiful Villa in Lagos suburbs

We were 6 adults (3 couples) stayed at this lovely villa. The pool, which we used daily, was just beautiful. It was a 20 minute walk to the old town and a steep climb to get back to the villa. We really enjoyed our stay there!

Lovely stay in Villa Afrique Lagos

A very spacious property with a pool and games room the children enjoyed very much. The air conditioning was very efficient and quiet, and although it’s a large property to clean the cleaners had done a good job. The walk into Lagos was reasonable but quite a steep hill to get back to the property. It’s a pity the person who met us didn’t give us the combination to the key safe as we didn’t all go out together and there was only one key, and they didn’t explain the recycling arrangement for the area. The car hire Algarve Retreats arranged for us was excellent and the transfer they arranged was also excellent with friendly and good drivers. We all enjoyed our stay very much.

Great location, great value

Villa Afrique was a great stay for our family winter holiday. Well located near grocery stores and an easy walk to the old town of Lagos, marina and beaches. The beds are comfortable and the two upstairs rooms were warm. The two single rooms were very chilly and damp, but likely appreciated in summer. Fireplace is great to take the night chill away but you will need to find your own wood. Expect to supply your own hand soap, shampoo, laundry soap, dishwasher soap and toilet paper. Great all day sun at the pool and deck. We found it to be overall great value and great neighbourhood.
