This was the perfect base of operations for a splendid time on the Isle of Wight. Great location for seeing this beautiful island. Lev was very easy to work with, and provided all the information we needed, even answering questions during our visit. We would definitely choose Mole End again.
Wow, what a lovely cottage. Great views across the ocean. The cottage was spotless and so well equiped.Communications with the owner were excellent as were the procedures for arrival and departure. Will definitely be staying again.
We loved our short stay in Mole End. It is a cottage of great character and we felt at home instantly. Communication with the owner, who provided detailed information about our stay, was excellent. The location is absolutely beautiful - quiet and calming and the cottage itself is perfect. We were very happy there.
Beautiful house in a wonderful location. As Canadians we were relying on the internet but alas, giffgaff is a useless SIM card. So I would recommend printing the directions as google maps will take you to completely the wrong place. After much shenanigans we managed to google a neighbouring street, which worked just fine!
Such a nice place to be based. A warm, home-like family feeling with a well set up kitchen, cosy rooms and a nice little lounge. Great sea views from the bedroom and bathroom. Lev was ever so helpful, making sure we had everything and all the info we could need. Great communication all the way through. Thank you!
Great process. Fantastic communication with the owner. The property was lovely, full of nice little touches. Everything to hand. We stayed over Christmas and the owners had put up a tree and Christmas decorations which was touching. The beds were comfortable. Overall the two night stay was just what we needed.
The location in St.Lawrence close to Ventnor is excellent and very quiet because there is no through road to the west of the island and so there is only local traffic. The cottage was very roomy for the two of us and it has wonderful sea views. The decor was creative and the facilities very good. Our only concern was the level of cleanliness and some of the furniture (sofa and rug especially) could be updated. We enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend the cottage to holiday-makers.
This property couldn't be any more perfect. I took my elderly mother away for the Christmas period and stayed a few days at Mole End. Everything managed to exceed our expectations...
The kitchen is a dream for anyone who loves to cook.
The loving room personifies cosiness and is helped massively by the log fire and comfy sofas.
Upstairs, the bathroom boasts a tub with views of the sea and the bedrooms are equipped with the most comfortable beds.
The location of Mole End is fantastic - only minutes away from the beaches and cliffside walks.
I cannot recommend this property enough. I will definitely be returning in the future.
Not quite as near to coastal path and beaches as described. Lovely view from bedroom but a trek to the beach and coastal path certainly more than a few minutes by foot.
Lovely welcome pack thankyou. A little gem of a post office/ shop which is minutes away by foot. A pity about the road closure which means diversion to get to freshwater and the St Lawrence chute is definitely not for the faint hearted. We tended to avoid and go the long way round. Lots of lovely places to visit.
Gorgeous cottage in a quiet location. Simply exceeded all expectations with such lovely attention to detail. It was so nice to watch the sea from the bedroom and it was a memorable stay which we would love to repeat, Thank you Lev!
The house is in a lovely location and it’s really well decorated inside beautiful home

Why they chose this property
We've been coming to the Isle of Wight for many years and have always loved the feeling you get the moment you get on the ferry, as if you're leaving the cares of the world behind you. In particular we found ourselves coming back time and again to the south of the island, the Undercliff, with its mixture of lush vegetation and rugged landscape, as well as wonderful beaches and great food for the whole family. The area offers something for everyone, from adventure-park-mad kids (Blackgang Chine) to walkers (the Coastal Path is a couple of minutes away).
What makes this property unique
Mole End has already become our home away from home and we've taken great care to make it as welcoming as possible for our guests. A lot of the work was done by the previous owners, who paid great attention to detail when converting it from its former existence as part of the village pub. The fantastic sea views from many parts of the property are an obvious feature – but turn your gaze inwards and there's great pleasure to be had there too, whether it's sitting round the kitchen table with a board game and a cup of coffee, lounging in the cosy sitting room or relaxing in a hot bath with a good book and a g&t. We always have a relaxing time at Mole End, and we hope that our guests will too.
