Beautiful view and lovely home. Checking in was a breeze and our stay was very comfortable. We had to travel with our dogs and Wanda was very accommodating to that. We really enjoyed our time lounging on the porch and taking in the view of the marina, a whale even came by to say Hello one morning.
Finally made a fishing trip to Alaska with my dad and brothers. We took a fishing charter out of clover cove which is 5 minutes away and they provide fish processing. Worked out fantastic.
This property is a 15 min drive from the airport and the downtown area, close enough to run into town for groceries and dinner.
Wanda was great to work with, she reached out to me when I missed emails from vrbo.
nice house with everything you need, just bring your groceries and everything else is there. Close to both Knudson Cove and Clover Pass for fishing. I would stay here again.
We came to enjoy a family reunion. Our stay here was very enjoyable. We were able to come and go as needed for family activities. The home was clean and comfortable. The beds are great The kitchen is clean and well supplied with necessary equipment. We appreciated the available washer and dryer. Wanda is very kind and treated us very well. We enjoyed our stay very much

We booked the bottom unit. There are beds everywhere and a big kitchen with a giant dining table. It had all the supplies that we could possibly need and was great for a big group. Both decks got a lot of use. It was quiet and had a nice view of Knudsen Cove. The location could not have been better. It's near some great beaches, hiking trails, and lakes. Most importantly, it's away from the congestion of the cruise ship tourists but is an easy drive back into town.
A rental car would be necessary to stay here, but that would be the only thing you'd need.

About the host
Hosted by Wanda Vandergriff
Darrell and Wanda moved to Alaska in 1975 with two small children. We sold our home and packed what we thought we needed in a 1974 Dodge Ram pick up truck and a 23' Prowler travel trailer. We left Imperial Valley, California, and118 degree temperature behind us headed for the Last Frontier. What an adventure! Now 40 years later, we are still in Alaska enjoying the beauty that God has blessed us with. Oceans for fishing, boating and whale watching. Mountains and forests for hiking and camping. Native culture abounds as well as wildlife and activities. We never tire of the 10 miles we drive from our home to town as it is along the beautiful ocean and cliffs with waterfalls.
We invite you to stay in one of our properties and hopefully enjoy the things that has kept us living in Alaska.
