Comfortable and well equipped ski chalet in the beautiful hamlet of Bas Thex, a 10 minute 6km drive from Morzine and lift access into the Portes du Soleil ski area. This lovely self catered chalet is nicely furnished and designed to cater for 8 with four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a large open plan living area and kitchen. Parking space. It is located in a peaceful hamlet with access to mountain walks and to St Jean D'Aulps and Morzine. The whole of the Portes du Soleil ski region is in easy reach.
There are 3 bathrooms and 4 WC .
Balconies to the living area and also to the top 2 bedrooms have their own balcony . Lovely south facing views .
Small terrace with outdoor seating and dining table with views to valley from the dining /kitchen area.
Very well equipped kitchen , home from home for us .
Sunday changeover in February, otherwise flexible.

We have a small property company in the UK and have several years experience of letting property both home and abroad. My architect husband has now retired and we live in Lymington , Hampshire. We have 2 grown up sons and labrador.

Why they chose this property

We chose this lovely chalet having searched around the Morzine area , because we liked the delightful hamlet of Bas Thex. Very importantly for Morzine we are on the sunny side of the valley, as we discovered that the other side is in shade quite a lot of the day. We have wonderful views from the balconies and we are very close to St Jean which is a 10 minute walk, Morzine is a 10 minutes in a car. The rooms are spacious and the chalet has a lot of natural light . it is a traditional design and is well located for ski-ing, mountain biking, walking,rafting and many other activities.

What makes this property unique

The chalet is in a very pretty quiet hamlet with lovely views from the south facing balconies. It is a bonus in the Morzine valley to be on the sunny side ! We are ideally located for exploring the various ski areas, you do need a car to get to the station but the advantage is that one can get to several places easily and vary the skiing .Les Gets, Avoriaz, Morzine, are all accessible as is the whole of the Portes du Soleil region.
In the Spring and Summer there are wonderful walks in the area and we are within easy reach of many of the mountain bike trails and mountain treks.
