Trout fish in your front yard while your wife enjoys the hot tub on the deck. This 1 bedroom 1 bathroom cabin is perfect for a romantic getaway or a weekend fishing trip. Cookout on the deck with the propane grill or dine out in one of the nearby restaurants. The cabin has an efficiency kitchen and a futon couch for young children. Cabin is located across the river from the Monongahela National Forest where thousands of miles of hiking and mountain biking trails await you. Canoeing, fishing, hiking, mountain bike riding. Everything was there in the cabin. Only thing you need to bring is clothes and whatever food you want. It was super clean, very peaceful very affordable. It’s really nice. I would recommend staying at this cabin. Well worth every minute and worth the money.

Erik and his sweet old dog Boo greeted us with the warmest welcome when we arrived! Erik was very accommodating, you can tell that he's excellent at hospitality and cares about his guests experience. We had just finished backpacking the Dolly Sods for 3 days and the cabin offered a much needed respite! We sat out in the river and in the hot tub and enjoyed nice cups of coffee on the deck while it rained. Nearby Elkins, WV is a cute little college town with an excellent brewery (Big Timber) if you're into that kind of thing, and a fancy restaurant (Forks) is 7 min. away and perfect for an anniversary dinner- this stay is perfect for a little get away :)

Convenient home base after visiting Elkins the first night and exploring Canaan Valley, Blackwater Falls, Dolly Sods, and Seneca. Dinner at Smoke on the Water and a nice fire by the water was a perfect end to a great day
