Casa Eliza is a spacious penthouse apartment on the corner of a complex of 6. It has a sweeping balcony around two sides. On the east side you can enjoy your breakfast in the sun while watching the awakening village of Carvoeiro. On the south side you can relax in a comfortable chair with an afternoon drink. Your views are the swimming pool and the Atlantic Ocean. There you also find a barbecue. A staircase leads to a large private roof terrace of 42 square meters with sunbeds, table and chairs and a lounge set, which makes the ocean view even more stunning! The apartment has had a full make over and modernization in May 2014. Casa Eliza is situated within less than 3 minutes walk to the center of the fishermen´s village and two sandy beaches. Within a 20 minutes drive are 10 fantastic golf courses, among others Gramacho, Vale da Pinta, Palmares and the famous Sir Henry Cottons´ Championships Course at Penina Golf Resort. Carvoeiro offers diving, horse riding, hiking and relaxing. Casa Eliza is the unique basis for your unforgettable holiday!

Great location! Lovely apartment! Both the Host and the property manager were great to deal with…very responsive when we had an issue. Because there had been an unusual amount of rain, we had an issue with mold…the property manager had it addressed immediately.This is a lovely property, in an awesome location. It could use a little attention. New linens and kitchen window blind replacement are a must. A few kitchen utensil updates would be helpful, too. Note, these upgrades are important for long stay guests to fully utilize the space.

The apartment is in a perfect location, a short walk into town. Check in was easy. The apartment is bigger than the pictures look so there was plenty of space for us. The outdoor spaces are great and close to the pool. The only downside was there is no Air Conditioning, we had missed this when booking and we were there during a very hot period so it was hot at night.

This is a terrific find if you’re heading to Portugal. The apartment itself is well-cared for, nicely furnished, and has both a wraparound and rooftop balcony that make outdoor dining, morning or afternoon coffee, or a glass of wine in the evening hard to resist.

Casa Eliza is perfectly placed for beaches and restaurants in the town. Very neat apartment with excellent views from the wrap around balcony and roof terrace. The pool could use some retailing but was clean and just right on a hot day. We would definitely return to this lovely place.

Great location. Very close to shops, restaurants, bars, cafes, food markets and board walk. For those with mobility issues, there are many hills and stairs within the area. This may be difficult for some people. This property has a great wrap around balcony and roof top balcony. Very relaxing place. Loved our time there.

100% perfect stay!

We relaxed, we enjoyed the pool, the bed was so comfortable, the walk was very short to everywhere, the apartment was just absolutely beautiful and finely decorated and we could not have chosen a more perfect place to stay!! The only thing, and it’s minor, is there is a daycare across the street so the only weekday that we woke up there (a Friday), it was loud with happy and sad kid noises. Didn’t really bother us but it could have if we were there for a whole week.

Having stayed at Casa Elisa for 12 days, my wife and I can only confirm what has already been written in the previous reviews, that they are spot on. Fantastic lady, superb location, extremely well catered and maintained apartment. Also must agree about the bed, best nights sleep we have had on holiday for a long time. We wanted to take it home but I think the excess luggage might have been a bit much. Would have no hesitation in recommending friends and family in staying here if they are visiting Carveiro. Once again Liz thanks for making our stay a pleasurable one.

Bliss at Casa Elisa

We have been to Carvoeiro and have stayed in apartments in this block previously but not in Casa Elisa. Without question we found this appartement perfect for our needs. Spotlessly clean throughput with a lovely decor and a very spacious sun roof with sun beds. The appartement is close to the beach and the town but is still peaceful and relaxing. The owner Liz, extremely pleasant and welcoming met us on our arrival and showed us around the appartement. Thank you Liz, we loved our stay & will be very happy to stay again in the future. All good!

Fab location and fab host!

We had a great 2 week stay here. The location is perfect. We used Uber app to get around if we were going further afield eg Albufeira, Lagos, Ferragudo, zoomarine, slide and splash but for restaurants, shops, boat trip to caves etc they were all 5mins walk. Did the walk to 7 hanging valleys from the apartment which was fab (got an Uber back though as was hot!). Apartment was great size, walk in wardrobe was much appreciated, bed super comfy. The only downside for us was that the kids were a bit big for the pull out beds (ours are 10 and 13 and on the tall side). The nursery is right next to it and you do hear it but it didn’t bother us. Swimming pool is appreciated and most of the time had it to ourselves. Needs a little tlc but is cleaned every week. Host Liz is just lovely.

We had 3 wonderful weeks at Casa Eliza. The apartment is ideal; spacious, comfortable, clean and very well equipped. Liz clearly has a flair for interior design and she goes the extra mile, and some, to ensure her guests have everything they need. We did have an unfortunate mishap, our fault, and Liz, bless her, came to our aid within minutes. The location is fantastic, just a short stroll down to the front, and the views from the terraces are sumptuous. We love to walk and were amazed by the incredible coastal scenery in this part of the Algarve. Inland we were charmed by Silves, built up the sides of a hill which is topped by a castle and cathedral. We also like to cook (even on holiday!) and were spoilt by the number of supermarkets within easy reach and the quality of the produce. We will very much look forward to our stay next September.

Fantastic Stay

The apartment is extremely well appointment, with every detail thought of. The ample space on the balconies and the roof terrace are a considerable bonus. The apartment was cleaned to an incredibly high standard throughout and all essentials were available on arrival. We were delighted with the space, including the fully equipped kitchen, digital TV, excellent bathroom and extra amenities provided by the host. The apartment boasts fantastic views across Carvoeiro and down to the sea. As my mobility needs changed since booking the apartment, I feel it is important to note that the short walk to town involves some steep hills and the steps to the apartment are quite steep - this may be worth noting for others with limited mobility. The only areas for improvement I could suggest would be an additional one or two floor fans in the apartment as the weather was extremely hot during my stay and the ceiling fans struggled to keep the apartment cool when the temperatures were very high. In addition to this, the advert highlighted the presence of an ‘easy chair that converts to a single bed’ but this was not the case on arrival which meant one of us had to sleep on the sofa. Elizabeth was very helpful and answered any questions prior to booking and arriving and Sonja was very welcoming on arrival at the apartment. Furthermore, Elizabeth has detailed folders in the apartment to support your stay, use of equipment and further travel.

This is a really beautiful apartment, made even better by the pool, sun balcony and a roof terrace

We were given a very warm welcome by the owner to this beautifully decorated apartment. It was like a home from home in the warm south. Spacious sitting room which can be a second bedroom, lovely main bedroom with an extremely comfortable king size bed, very well equipped kitchen and a beautiful bathroom. We had large and luxurious deep pile towels, not only in the bathroom, but also for the pool. The screens and sliding windows allowed us to keep the rooms cool and bug free, a wonderful asset in hot summer weather. There are also super efficient quiet fans in the two main rooms which cooled these rooms for a very comfortable night's sleep. Everything has been carefully considered to make Casa Eliza as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. We had breakfast and lunch on the sun balcony or roof terrace, with particularly good views from the roof terrace. It was a delight to sit up there in the morning for breakfast, early evening for a glass of wine or beer and at night to watch the stars and see the moonlight on the Atlantic. The roof terrace is a great bonus, from private sunbathing to drying your washing while you are out enjoying all that Carvoeiro has to offer. There is a great choice of restaurants, bars and cafes, almost all offering the option of sitting outdoors. The impressive Carvoeiro beach is a few minutes walk away, but Casa Eliza also offers the pool on your doorstep. We used the pool morning, afternoon and early evening, perfect for the hot weather or just a relaxing half hour. We had a wonderful few days at Casa Eliza, hope to go back in the future and would happily recommend this apartment to family and friends.

I was enchanted by the village of Carvoeiro when I came to live here 18 years ago. I love the changing seasons which attracts different visitors. The Summer brings the hustle and bussle of happy holiday makers, enjoying the live music on the square, the warm ocean and the beautiful sandy beaches. The Autumn feels like a second Spring in the year when I take my dogs on my favourite walks along the cliffs. I love the flowers that bloom in this period of the year. In Winter time I concentrate on conquering the never ending challenge of golf. When the Spring time comes, this encourages me to take out my paint brush to capture the beauty of the emerging spring flowers. All year long I so enjoy meeting friends for a light lunch or a glass of wine at one of the delightful terraces.

Why they chose this property

I came upon Casa Eliza purely by chance and fell in love with it. The roof terrace is wonderful with fabulous views of the sea and Carvoeiro. All this only less than a 5 minute walk from the village square.
