About this property

Luxury Family Farmhouse, Pool and Games Room. Perfect for DDay, Mont st Michel

La Cidrerie is set in a tranquil rural location yet just 1 km to a small local village for fresh bread and croissants and 6 km from the tourist town of Villedieu les Poeles. On arrival you will be greeted by over 3 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens with an above ground swimming pool, a games room complete with pool table, table tennis and dartboards these are occasionally used by our Chambre dhote guests ,BBQ areas, small animal farm and endless space for children to be free to play. Just 25 mins from stunning long sandy beaches, 45 minutes from Mont st Michel and an only an hour from DD Beaches La Cidrerie is in a perfect location to enjoy all that Normandy has to offer.

Please note we have just 3 letting rooms in our Chambre d'hote La Crepelliere allowing all guests space and privacy to relax and soak up the tranquility of the location.

Wood if required for the woodturner on cooler days is payable on site at €10 per day.
End of stay cleaning service can be requested and is payable on site at €50, if not requested we ask that the Gite is left clean and ready for next guests.

A wonderful place

A truly lovely place to stay. Beautiful property, well equipped and such comfy beds. Set in peaceful rural location with beautiful gardens and an array of animals that the children loved to help feed. Excellent, friendly hosts that went out of their way to make our holiday really excellent. Totally recommend this wonderful place.

We had a lovely time. The owners, Debbie and Rob were on site and very helpful and friendly. They also provided some home-cooled meals for us, very reasonably priced. Lovely gardens and small pool were ideal for our family group.

Wonderful holidays in Normandy

We really enjoyed our stay in Normandy thanks to Debbie and Rob! The Gite was confortable and well-equiped for our family. The garden was beautiful and safe for the kids to play. They loved feeding the animals with Rob! We warmly recommend :)

Countryside fun and rest

After a week in the buzz of Paris we found a lot of rest in the beautiful place Rob and Debbie run on the Normandy countryside. Our kids had a lot of fun feeding the animals, pool, game room and garden. A perfect place to visit the popular spots like the mont st Michel or D-day beaches. But also to relax and find the rest, far away from stressful and bussy places.

Quiet, relaxed and central ;-)

We only spent 3 nights there, but it was a great time. The Unetrkunft is very clean and has everything you need. Debbie and Bob are wonderful hosts and our children loved to feed the animals. The house is centrally located and is also suitable for excursions to Bretagne (Mont Saint Michel etc.). It is worth more than just a recommendation ;-)

Fun & Relaxing Time For Animal Lovers

We absolutely loved our stay at the farmhouse. The house was clean and beautifully decorated. The beds were comfortable, showers worked well, etc. The true highlight was the animals. Our kids loved feeding the pig, goat, rabbit, turkey and chickens, petting the cats and watching the sheep. They also had fun playing darts, ping pong and foosball. Debbie cooked a delicious meal for us and we had many interesting conversations with Rob. We had such a peaceful, relaxing time. Our only complaint is that we couldn’t stay longer!

Relax and enjoy nature

We brought our 10 & 15 year old grandchildren to Europe. Both grandchildren loved staying at the farmhouse. In fact they liked it so much they did not want to leave. Rob and Debbie are the perfect hosts and hostess. This one the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. Our 10 year old granddaughter loved all the animals especially Oscar, the rabbit. Our grandson enjoyed playing pool and darts with his Papa. I just wished we could have spent more than 3 nights there.

Peaceful, relaxing, welcoming...

A terrific location to get away from the city hustle and bustle and out to the country for a very relaxing time away. Farm setting with friendly chickens, ducks, goats, a pot belly pig, and a turkey. Restful! Home is historic, but up to date and nicely appointed by the owner’s hands (pride of ownership shows throughout!). Fireplace is your sole source of heat for chilly nights (10 Euros per night extra for wood), but keeps it plenty warm and adds to the charm. Delicious home-cooked dinners available (upon preorder) after a long day. Also very convenient to the major highways/throughways to the regional attractions. Rob and Deb are wonderful, considerate hosts!

Superb in every regard...!

As a family of 4, with 2 children, 6 and 4, we stayed in the Gite, La Cidrerie for 12 days. We had a fantastic time and cannot recommend this property highly enough. The listing is accurate as advertised with the location, facilities and layout extremely family friendly. Debbie and Rob are superb hosts who make you feel exceptionally welcome without being overbearing; they are the perfect hosts. The whole property is very clean and well maintained throughout, with the gardens being wonderfully maintained and particularly safe for our 2 girls. The location is superb to visit many of the sights of Normandy and will satisfy the needs of the sightseer, military history buff or beach dweller. We loved it; thoroughly recommend it and will definitely be back next year.

Wir hatten eine tolle Woche in dem wundervollen Haus mit sehr viel Charme und Flair. Ruhig gelegen, aber alles für das Einkaufen in 10 Minuten erreichbar.Der Gamingroom mit Billard und Darts war toll für entspannte Abende. Zwei Grill mit Sitzecke und Garten - hervorragend. Rob und Debbie waren tolle Gastgeber.Meine jüngste Tochter konnte mit Rob morgens die Tiere füttern.Sehr zu empfehlen für Familien mit Kindern. Wir waren 2 Erwachsene 3 Kinder.

Très bon séjour!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Debbie et Rob! Ce sont 2 hôtes très accueillants, Robert a été super avec les enfants qui ont adoré s'occuper des animaux! La Ciderie: Excellent!

Rob and Debbie are wonderful hosts! Warm welcome when we arrived. Rob made a tour through the house and explained everything, and made jokes with everyone. The house is neat, well equiped, gave us immediately a warm feeling. Pictures online of the house don't lie, it's even more beautiful when you see the real thing. Kids and parents loved the pool, the feeding of the animals and the game room! Also the breakfast and dinner are very recommended. We stayed a week in "La Ciderie" and will come back for sure! There is more than enough to do in the area. Beach, beatiful coastlines, nice villages. Go and see and experience the real deal, :).

Perfect stay in a serene place

We had a lovely week in La Cidrière. The house was spotless and the kitchen well-equipped. The children enjoyed the farm animals (and feeding them), the pool, playing football in the garden and the different games which are available. We made several trips to sites within an hour drive. Very friendly hosts, would certainly recommend this accommodation to friends.

Un bon séjour à la campagne !

Séjour très sympathique dans ce gîte. Rob et Debbie, présents sur place, sont formidables avec les enfants, qui ont passé une très bonne semaine en compagnie des animaux qu'ils ont pu nourrir chaque jour. Petit bémol, l'annonce ne précise pas que la maison a un grand escalier pour desservir les chambres aux 1er et 2ème étage, un peu compliqué avec des enfants en bas âge. Mais nous recommandons cette location pour un séjour au calme à la campagne.
