About this property
Beach Cottage with amazing beach and sea views
A 5 bedroom cottage with stunning coastal and beach views. Sky TV, BT Infinity 30MB Wi-Fi, Log burner, 4 bath/shower rooms; three of them ensuites. Beach Cottage sits 300m from the Blue Flag beach in Porthtowan, a small seaside village with a 1 mile sandy beach, framed by National Trust protected coastline and served by RNLI Lifeguards. The views from Beach Cottage are wonderful, over the beach and down the coast to St.Ives. Learn to surf at the legendary Tris Surf or enjoy body-boarding. On the beach is the 'Blue Bar', a Good Pub Guide pub with great food. Nearby Chapel Porth National Trust café is home to the world famous HedgeHog ice cream. Walkers take the SW coastal path from the end of the garden. Super location, 8 minutes drive from A30, central to most of Cornwall's attractions.

About the host
Hosted by Mark

We are a family with Cornish roots who love Porthtowan. We bought the Beach Cottage for the stunning views over the beach and coastline beyond. We furnished the house to a high standard with 1 to 2 families in mind, so you can have a relaxing holiday in Cornwall.
Why they chose this property
Porthtowan is a hidden gem. One of only 10 Blue Flag beaches in Cornwall with lifeguards during the season. There are two pubs and two cafes close to the beach. You may not want to leave Porthtowan, the good news is that the village is 8 minutes from the A30 so a great base to explore Cornwalls attractions.
The BBC including Porthtowan in an article about “10 beautiful places to visit in the UK” though still very much a “hidden gem”
