About this property
Trullo, Infinity Pool & Stunning Views / Explore Puglia’s Itria Valley & Beaches
Trullo Tramonto is a beautifully restored trullo, redesigned by a Milanese architect to an exceptional standard. Set on a peaceful hillside in the heart of the Itria Valley, it offers panoramic views and stunning sunsets — “tramonto” meaning sunset in Italian.
The centrepiece of the property is a 13-metre infinity-edge pool with a shallow beach area, perfect for cooling off while enjoying uninterrupted views of the surrounding countryside.
Inside, the trullo features three bedrooms and two bathrooms (one ensuite). The open-plan living and dining area connects to a well-equipped kitchen with marble countertops. A unique internal ‘cave room’ provides a cool and quiet additional living space — ideal for reading or relaxing.
Outdoors, you’ll find a shaded sitting area perfectly positioned to take in the sunset over Martina Franca and Locorotondo. The outdoor kitchen and dining area includes a large stone table, BBQ, and sink — ideal for summer evenings.
The mature garden is filled with fruit trees, including cherry, apricot, plum, peach, apple, fig, pomegranate, sharon fruit, olive, and almond, along with a well-stocked herb garden for guest use.

About the host
Hosted by Tracy

We live in the UK but Italy has always held a special place in our hearts. My husband’s family is originally from Bari, and he spent many childhood holidays in Puglia. After years of enjoying Italian vacations together, we decided to buy a home of our own. We lived here for several years, during which our daughters attended school in Martina Franca.
We love cooking, travelling, and eating out — and also enjoy swimming, walking, sailing, cycling, and exploring everything this beautiful region has to offer. When we lived here full-time, we grew our own vegetables, and the herb garden we planted still thrives. Depending on the season, you’ll find a variety of organic fruit growing in the garden — from apricots and cherries to figs, peaches, plums, pomegranates, and apples.
I always welcome enquiries and enjoy speaking with guests to help them plan their stay and make the most of their time in Puglia.

Why they chose this property
We chose this area for its stunning panoramic views and peaceful, off-the-beaten-track setting — yet it’s just a short drive to Martina Franca, Cisternino, Ceglie Messapica, and Locorotondo. In fact, three of these beautiful hill towns are visible from the house! Ostuni and Alberobello are also within easy reach.
Guests often comment on how homely and comfortable the trullo feels. We love sharing our favourite local spots and restaurant discoveries, and it means a lot to us when guests enjoy it here as much as we do.

What makes this property unique
Trullo Tramonto offers a truly authentic Puglian experience. Set near the scenic Puglian Aqueduct trail, guests can walk, run, or cycle all the way to Locorotondo while enjoying panoramic views of the Itria Valley (as many of our reviews highlight).
We offer a range of curated experiences — including in-home pasta-making classes with a local chef, a simple arrival supper, bike hire, private tours, and more.
Just down the road, a family-run mini market provides everything you might need: freshly baked bread and focaccia, a well-stocked deli, excellent coffee and cakes, and a daily-changing ‘gastronomia’ with delicious homemade dishes.
