Welcome to Ocean Dunes 502!  At this comfy, newly decorated, first-floor condo, you can sleep a family of 9 at the Oceanfront with three pools and a fitness center and hot tub!   Relax in the soothing pastel colors inside and be invigorated by outdoor dining on your private oceanfront porch intimately overlooking the ocean! Enjoy a cup of tea in the morning while taking in the view of the sunrise, or have an al fresco dinner as the sun sets. Enjoy a tranquil and peaceful time away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.  But, if you need the convenience of technology, we have a ready to sync TV and charging stations for your own device.



Welcome to the highly desirable Ocean Dunes resort! Our vacation rental is located on the oceanfront, giving you access to an expanse of stunning beachfront views at the southern tip of Pleasure Island. Enjoy the amenities of the resort, including multiple outdoor pools, shuffleboard, grills, and playgrounds for the kids. After a day at the beach, visit the recreation center for an indoor pool, spa, sauna, exercise room and clubhouse. Relax, unwind, and make lasting memories at this beautiful destination! Note: there are no facilities at Ocean Dunes for charging golf carts. Ocean Dunes covered parking is not suitable for large SUVs, please seek a first come first serve visitor parking spot for large vehicles. Always use your parking pass!

This is a first floor unit. 

Kitchen: Seating for 4 at Kitchen Island, Full Size Appliances, Solid Surface Countertops

Dining Room: Seating for 6 

Living Room: Smart TV, Queen Sofa Sleeper, 2 Accent Chairs, Deck Access.

Living Room Oceanfront Deck: Polywood Adirondack Pub Table and Stools Dining Vignette  

Primary Bedroom Suite: King Size Bed, Doors to Oceanfront Deck with 2 large size pub chairs. 

Primary Ensuite Bathroom: Bathtub with Shower, Single Vanity, Toilet

Bedroom 2: Queen bed, New Plantation Blinds, Smart TV.

Bedroom 3: One Twin over Twin bunk plus a stand-alone Twin Bed. TV is a monitor only: bring your own Xbox or DVD player. New Plantation Blinds.

Shared Hallway Bathroom: Tub/Shower Combo, Single Vanity, Toilet.



Parking: 2 Assigned Spaces. Guest parking available on a first-come, first-serve basis



Linens - Sheets and Towels will be wrapped in sealed packages and laying on the end of the beds. 



Rental Policies:

In response to the increased incidence of credit card fraud, a valid government photo ID will be required for every reservation. A signed rental agreement is required: accepting House Rules on any online travel agency requires reading and acceptance of our rental agreement.



Things to bring:

Paper towels and toilet paper, trash bags, soaps, detergents, minimal cleaning supplies, and beach towels.



Arrival/Departure:

Summer Check-ins (June-August) begin at 4 pm and are guaranteed by 6 pm

Check-out is by 10 am. 

We adhere to this policy so please do not arrive early or plan to delay your departure.



Guest Access:

Electronic entry.



House Rules:

No events such as weddings, bachelor/bachelorette parties, sororities/fraternities 

No smoking

You must be at least 25 to rent this unit.



Pool Notice:

Pools are generally open from Memorial Day until Labor Day; however, pool closures may be dictated by the HOA or the Health Department. Pools may also be closed after a hurricane or tropical storm. Sea Coast Rentals/Owners will not be held accountable. No refunds will be issued for these closures.



Pet Policy:

No pets allowed. Ocean Dunes has a strict policy against guests bringing dogs. Only owners can bring a pet.



Cancellation Policy:

We want to make sure you’re aware of our cancellation policy. If you cancel when your arrival date is more than 60 days away, you will receive a full refund.  If you cancel when your arrival date is less than 60 days away, you will forfeit your deposit.

Our properties are individually owned, and our guests will have use of the entire property! Please refer to the listing for details.



The Neighborhood:

Adventure awaits on Pleasure Island. Exploring the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher, home to incredible coastal wildlife, or take the scenic car ferry across the Cape Fear River for a relaxing visit to the charming town of Southport where quaint streets are filled with unique antique shops and galleries. History lovers can walk the scenic, live‑oak‑lined trails of the Fort Fisher State Historic Site, where Civil War bunkers still stand. Nature enthusiasts will love the island’s two state‑managed coastal preserves: Carolina Beach State Park, home to rare Venus flytraps found naturally only in this region, and the Fort Fisher State Recreation Area, known for pristine beaches, marshes, and wildlife viewing. Both offer beautiful opportunities for hiking, paddling, fishing, and spotting pelicans or even nesting loggerhead sea turtles.



After a day outdoors, unwind on your private balcony with a sunset cocktail, or head into town to explore the best of Carolina Beach. The Carolina Beach Boardwalk, ranked one of the Top 10 Boardwalks in the U.S. by Food & Wine, features classic seaside fun—local restaurants, an arcade, ice cream shops, bars, and the famous Britt’s Donuts. In summer, enjoy weekly fireworks and live entertainment, carnival rides, family nights, and Flamingo BINGO. Off‑season brings signature island events like the Cape Fear Kite Festival, Christmas by the Sea, and the Island of Lights Festival. Getting Around:

Getting around Pleasure Island is a breeze! While parking can be limited in peak season, especially in popular spots, paid private or public parking is available. We recommend exploring Carolina Beach and Kure Beach on foot or by bike – they're super walkable and bike-friendly. You'll find safe pedestrian and bike routes, including the Island Greenway. Renting a golf cart or bike is easy, too, with several local rental companies. Golf carts are one of the easiest ways to cruise around the island. Rentals are simple to arrange, and once you're behind the wheel, you can zip along any road posted 35 mph or under.
