A delightful two bedroomed loft apartment in the centre of Fowey. Airy & stylish with high ceilings and exposed roof timbers, the apartment provides you with a perfect 'bolt hole' in which you can relax and recharge your batteries! Sail Loft is situated in a quiet location, next to St Fimbarrus Church, yet is only a minutes walk from the fabulous shops, restaurants, bars/pubs & bustling quay. Fowey is renowned for its sailing & water activities, coastal walks, quaint streets and shops in which you could easily while away the hours. The beaches of Whitehouse and Readymoney are all within walking distance. Throughout the year there are a number of festivals and events which bring both locals and holiday makers together, from the popular festival of words and music each May, the Beer & Mussel festival in June, the famous Fowey Regatta, which runs for a week during August ... with the incredible Red Arrows putting in an appearance! For the more energetic, there is the Fowey Triathlon held in September, and to put you in the Christmas spirit there is a Christmas market at the end of the year! Theres always something to do and see, whatever time of year you choose to visit this beautiful part of Cornwall.

Good exercising in climbing everywhere in Fowey!

Charming, clean and convenient Getaway

Lovely accommodation ticked all our boxes, especially location. We were determined not to use a car this holiday and picturesque Fowey is only a 10 minute taxi ride from Par station. Sail Loft is right in the heart of great range of local shops and friendly pubs and restaurants. Despite their poor reputation we found local buses excellent and had no problems returning from stunning coastal walks or going to nearby Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan. Thoroughly recommended!

Aufgrund der vielen positiven Bewertungen sind wir voller Vorfreude in Fowey angekommen. Das Appartement hat zweifellos eine besondere Atmosphäre, ist gut ausgestattet und behaglich eingerichtet. Die Lage direkt im Ortskern ist sicherlich ein Pluspunkt (außer man mag keinen Trubel). Was uns allerdings sehr gestört hat, ist der immense Schimmelbefall in einem der Bäder und die verdreckte Dusche. Hier sollten die Vermieter schnellstmöglich Abhilfe schaffen.

Fantastic apartment and location

The Sail Loft was bigger than we thought it would be and perfect for our family of 4 with an 8 and 10 year old. It was spotless and really well stocked with everything. The location was perfect and we felt right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Fowey. The very steep walk to the car park kept us fit, but this was a small price to pay for being in such a great location. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Perfect location

We had a lovely holiday here, the apartment is in a perfect location close to everything in Fowey and only two minutes from the quayside!. There is everything that you could want in the apartment even a welcome bottle of wine and milk and teabags!. The beds were very comfortable and the whole place is fitted out to a high standard. We would love to come back one day, thank you David and Jayne!

Sail Loft was an ideal base for our week in Fowey. Well equipped and comfortable with two bathrooms (which is a must for my wife plus two daughters). Really comfy beds and a great shower in the en suite.

A wonderful short break

We had the most wonderful long weekend at the Sail Loft. The location is perfect with town right on your doorstep with lovely restaurants, pubs and shops including bakeries, delis and a small shop to cater for all requirements. As others have mentioned the loft is more spacious than pictures would suggest, light and beautifully clean. We would love to stay again on our next visit to beautiful Fowey.

Fantastic place to stay in Fowey

We loved staying here, it is very well placed next to the church in the centre of Fowey. It has been furnished to a high standard and was clean and warm when we arrived on a cold, rainy day in February. We had to contact the owners before our visit as there had been a hiccup with the Owners Direct booking but this was quickly sorted and the owners could not have been more helpful, they were very prompt in replying and gave us lots of helpful information, especially regarding parking. We found being near to Kittows delicatessen a real bonus, especially useful for buying things we could eat back at the Sail Loft. We had visited Fowey a long time ago and loved the Hall walk but the weather wasn't on our side this time. It was still nice to walk along to Readymoney Cove and further along the cliffs. You do need to park up the hill as there is no parking by the Sail Loft but we were aware of this before we booked and this is the same for most of the places when staying in Fowey. We've visited Cornwall a lot over the years and Sail Loft is definitely one of the best places we've stayed in.

The apartment was spotlessly clean with everything you need for the perfect home from home. Situated right in the centre of Fowey tucked away with views of St Fimbarrus church. So convenient for all the pubs, restaurants and shops that Fowey as to offer. We would definitely recommend Sail Loft

A beautiful loft in wonderful Fowey

After a long drive we were welcomed by the cozy, warm and spotlessly clean Sail Loft and we felt at home instantly. The Sail Loft is so very comfortable, with its large settees and deep chairs we had a very relaxing week, despite the long walks around the beautiful surrounding countryside. The light and airy feel of the loft is no doubt due to its large windows and vaulted ceiling and all the rooms are beautifully decorated. The loft had all the modern amenities you could desire, the kitchen was fully equipped and allowed us to cook a couple of lovely meals after buying the most wonderfully fresh ingredient from Kittows deli which is no more than 25 meters from the front door! Fowey itself is a wonderful little town with independent shops and restaurants and many good pubs for a pint of cider! We would definitely recommend The Lugger, Prince of Prussia and The Ship Inn for food, the latter being literally 30 seconds walk away. The loft is perfectly located right in the heart of Fowey. Everything is on your door step, but being tucked away allows you to escape back to your own little bolt hold overlooking the Church and its peaceful grounds in minutes. Needless to say we will definitely be back and have already recommended the Sail Loft to friends and family!

Our first time in Fowey and what a place to stay.

The Sail Loft located right in the heart of the village just as its description on the website.As we opended the door our first impressions where good but they just got better as the our stay went on.Its quite clear that the owners David and Jayne take a lot of care in providing excellent accommlodation it was spotlessly clean,comfortable and very well equipped. Being in the village it meant we could enjoy the restaurants,pubs and local shops without having to drive.There are also two local ferries which adds to the exploration attraction and opens up the challange of further walks.We will be back and we will highly recommend the Sail Loft to our family and friends.

Fantastic break at Sail Loft

Had a 4 night break in Fowey at the Sail Loft. Fantastic apartment, perfect location, extremely clean and tidy. Lovely layout and very comfortable.First visit to Fowey, loved it. Very friendly place, gorgeous walks, and plenty of places to eat. The ship, the Lugger and Sams, all do fantastic food. Will def be back, thank you Jayne and David.

Perfect hideaway in the lovely town of Fowey

The Sail Loft is in an ideal location in the centre of Fowey. Very comfortable, very clean, well equipped apartment. Me and my husband and our 2 sons, 21 and 13 had a really enjoyable 2 week stay recently. We are frequent visitors to Fowey. Fowey offers so much with lovely restaurants, pubs, shops, walks, beaches etc. We highly recommend Sam's in town and Sam's on the beach at Polkerris. The Galleon pub overlooking the estuary in Fowey is lovely, great chance to try out local ales and cider, the food is great too. We were very lucky to have a special guest make an appearance - a lovely dolphin swam up close when there was high tide one evening. Kittows is great for meat, cheese, delicious cakes, cheese and olives! Ready money beach, a short walk away is definitely worth a visit, walk along overlooking breath-taking views. You would never believe you were in England! Our sons had a great 5 hour experience kayaking, which you can book from Fowey River expeditions. Fiscal beach in Newquay is great, you can hire surf boards and wet suits for under £20 for an hour's enjoyment in the waves. As you can see from our review we had a wonderful 2 week holiday! Jayne and David, the couple that own the Sail Loft are a lovely couple that are very helpful and friendly. We would highly recommend the Sail loft to our friends and family.

What a gem!

What a gem! A beautiful apartment with every amenity you could need, spotlessly clean and although you can 'roll out of bed' into the town centre there is none of the night time noise you might associate with such a location. Perfectly placed to walk to the town's lovely shops, pubs and restaurants. The owners Jayne and Dave take more of an interest in their guests than we have ever experienced before, ready to provide advice on every and all aspects of your stay in Fowey. They also welcome your feedback (not that we had any negatives at all - loved the Sail Loft)! Fowey itself is so quaint, a lovely small Cornish town nestling on the banks of the River Foy and walking distance to the coast/beach. Some beautiful walks on the doorstep of which we took advantage. Could go on and on but suffice to say we will be back soon! Taking into consideration the high standard of the accommodation against cost it is absolutely great value for money!

Perfect Bolt-Hole!

Re-visiting Fowey after 12 years, and having spent many childhood holidays there, we were looking for somewhere that was 'home from home' and came across 'Sail Loft'. We immediately loved it from the photos. Knowing it was in the centre of town, the big plus was that it exceeded expectations on seeing the real thing. Not only its enviable position, but the whole atmosphere of 'Sail Loft' is extremely friendly and welcoming. We felt at home straight away due to Jayne and Davids' lovely relaxed decor and parcel tag notes! The appliances and interior are modern and contempory whilst in keeping with the seaside feel, everything is there to make the holiday easy-going. We loved 'Sail Loft' and can't recommend it highly enough to anyone who wants this as a base while exploring this beautiful part of the country. Jayne and David's instructions and recommendations to us personally, and in the flat, were spot-on. Leaving was very, very difficult and we can't wait to return. June 2015

The Sail Loft

What a lovely apartment. We were certainly very impressed. The description on the website was very accurate. The apartment was extremely clean and tidy with all the possible amenities you could need. It was a perfect location for the harbour and shops. We would definitely recommend it to friends and family so long as they could cope with the hills!! I also found the owners, Jayne and David extremely helpful whenever I contacted them. Thank you for a lovely few days.

Wonderful Sail Loft

Sail Loft in Fowey is a wonderful place to stay for many reasons. We stayed for a long weekend in February and our experience was perfect. Before arrival David and Jayne provided all the information we needed and our email exchanges before and after our stay were always warm and friendly. The property is ideally located in the heart of Fowey with easy access to the shops, restaurants and ferries. As soon as you walk into Sail Loft you get the feeling of space and comfort, the interior has been designed exceptionally well and is beautifully decorated. We enjoyed our stay at Sail Loft so much, we've already recommended it to several of our friends and it's on our favourites list. We'll definitely return.

We have spent many happy holidays in Cornwall, over the years, with our three boys, our family and friends. We discovered Fowey, however, only two or three years ago! Whilst travelling around Cornwall, we came across Fowey as we looked for somewhere to stay overnight .... and that was it, we loved everything about it! This year (2014) we decided to make a return weekend visit to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. When we noticed Sail Loft was for sale, we acted on impulse ... and a new adventure began!! Fowey is a friendly, warm Cornish fishing village, and the Sail Loft perfectly located, tucked away from the bustle, yet seconds from the warm welcome that awaits you! We really hope you love it as much as we do ... we think you will!

What makes this property unique

The Sail Loft is a lovely seaside apartment, set right in the middle of Fowey, yet it is tucked away, and just a moments stroll from the fabulous Butchers, deli and many beautiful shops, cafes & restaurants that this bustling fishing village boasts. Once you have parked your car, there really is no need for you to use it again until you have to say 'goodbye 'til next time'. There are beautiful coastal walks, boat trips, fishing trips, beaches, restaurants, bars/pubs and fabulous cafes catering for all tastes. There are small high street shops, such as Fatface, Seasalt and Boots, as well as many individual shops selling beautiful and unusual gifts and crafts, all well worth a visit!
