Villa Turquoise is a privately owned, beautiful architect designed house in an exclusive development perched on the hillside with stunning panoramas over the turquoise waters of Kalamar Bay, the islands beyond and the glorious Lycian coast. The cool contemporary design harmonises beautifully with the natural surroundings and makes the most of an elevated situation overlooking the bay. The villa is laid out over three floors, with the ground floor sitting room opening onto a terrace which overlooks the swimming pool and provides breathtaking views across the bay of Kalamar to Mouse and Snake Islands. This terrace then leads round to the tranquil and attractive gardens behind the villa. The villa is surrounded by an abundance of colourful and fragrant plants, with areas of shade to escape from the midday sun. Beyond the pool is a pergola providing shade for the perfect al fresco dining area, complete with a stone built BBQ for entertaining at home.
There are plenty of sun beds and parasols around the pool as well as a hammock and comfy seating areas to recline in the shade. For the energetic there is a table tennis table!
The interior is exceptionally spacious and is beautifully designed and furnished with a sense of calm and sophistication.
Kalamar Bay is a peaceful, picturesque village, just around the corner from Kalkan and a 5 minute walk from the villa to the sea and the popular Kalamar Beach Club. A pleasant 15 minute downhill walk takes you to the quaint and unique village of Kalkan. The pretty town descends to the sea in a maze of cobbled streets and whitewashed house. This once sleepy fishing village now has an air of sophistication about it with an abundance of interesting shops, restaurants, bars and cafés. These all come to life as the sun goes down and the town buzzes with activity as visitors and locals alike enjoy the magical Kalkan nightlife.

Amazing holiday

We spent a week in the villa turquoise and had a fantastic time. The villa is beautifully decorated and very well equipped. with amazing views. We spent most days relaxing by the pool, then wandered into Kalkan in the evenings to enjoy many bars and restaurants. Would definitely go back.

Amazing place

This villa is amazing with stunning views beutifuly decorated and perfectly positon every small detail has been covered Lindsay the owner is so helpful nothing is to much trouble from arranging transfers to local knowledge the villa is spacious with lots of seating areas with a large swimming pool best villa we have stayed in and will definitely be coming back if your looking for a perfect holiday then you will not be disappointed a big thank you to Lindsay for a perfect holiday

Memorable Week

The villa was amazing - even better than the photos. From initial booking to our sad departure Lindsey was incredibly helpful and made so much effort to ensure we had a fabulous holiday which indeed we did. A perfect place to truly unwind but with plenty to do for the more energetic - an absolute gem of a place and definitely one to revisit!

THis was my 8th visit to this beautiful villa, and it never disappoints! The views take your breath away and the villa has a peace to it that makes it hard to beat! And then...when your ready for Buzz, you walk into town for an impressive selection of amazing romantic roof top restaurants serving really good food! Fantastic villa, even better host!

Deceptively large villa with more than enough living space both inside and out. Great view and location, away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre but close enough to get to by foot if you can manage the hilly terrain. The villa has everything you could possibly need and when we did have questions, they were answered instantly and fully by our amazing host. If you are looking to visit Kalkan, which by the way is stunning, don't hesitate. Just book!

Couldn't fault it. Would recommend it to anyone. The property is spotless and well looked after. The local team have got everything sorted out. Living in this villa there is no need for excursions. Village restaurants all good and nearby supermarket and bar both deliver so no real need for a car.

Outstanding Kalkan villa with incredible views

Villa Turquoise is the most beautiful place for a holiday in Kalkan. Views over Kalamar Bay are sublime and there is so much outside space to enjoy - at least 5 different seating areas - and yet it doesn't feel as overwhelmingly big as some of Kalkan's other properties. It's very well equipped and a huge amount of thought has gone into making a stay there as relaxing as possible - the provision of a pay as you go mobile so calling taxis and booking restaurants can be done without damaging your own phone bill, for example.They also have the comfiest bed I've ever slept in! We have visited Kalkan before and cannot recommend it highly enough as a holiday destination. The beach clubs are a great way to spend a day, all offering water sports, and in the evening there are so many great restaurants to chose from. Villa Turquoise is a true find though - the pictures really sum it up... you will not be disappointed.

Simply Brilliant

We have been holidaying in Villa's as a family for many years all over the world and without doubt Villa Turquoise is magnificent. The best we have ever stayed in! From our initial booking Lindsey (the owner) was helpful in the extreme providing useful details and assistance. Upon arrival the Villa was immaculately clean, very well equipped and was as beautiful in reality as the pictures suggest. During our stay, we were looked after by the Korsan team who were equally outstanding providing prompt and efficient service from cleaning to daily bread and water deliveries., nothing was too much trouble. For those who have not been to Kalkan, it is stunning and full of great restaurants with lots of great local trips and days out making it a brilliant place to stay. Add the Villa Turquoise, Lindsey and her Korsan team and you have all you need for an outstanding, never to be forgotten holiday. As for Turkey, do not stay away, the people are lovely and friendly - it is safe! Often in life it seems things are frequently not quite as advertised, but for the Villa Turquoise you have no worries, it is simply brilliant. Thank you Lindsey for lending us your beautiful Villa for the best holiday ever – we will be back!”

WOW!!

We, a danish family of 6 (4 teenagers) have just spent 14 days in Villa Turquoise and it has been the most wonderful holiday. The house is so beautiful; very clean, spacious, well furnished and well equipped, and the pool and terrace area is great. The two boys spent a lot of time playing table tennis :-) The location is great, close to two different beachclubs, severeal restaurants and a supermarkedet - and just a short walk from Kalkan city. The view is absolutely stunning!! It´s even better than the pictures! Kalkan is a small, beautiful town with a lot of great restaurants. We loved LAL (restaurant), the food was very nice and the view from the rooftop terrace was amazing. Sharon and Rami are managing the villa and they are so helpful. They take care of every request. They arranged a whole day sailingtrip for the 6 of us, breakfast in the mountains and a privat dining by Vickey and her daughter. We will higly recommend all of this things. Our contact with Lindsey have from the very beginning been great. Lindsey is a superb host - so helpful, kind and serviceminded - from the reservation of the house, throughout the stay. It´s my 3. time in the Kalkan area and this is for sure the most beautiful house ever! The service and helfulness was great and I have never seen a view like that!! We would love to come back :-)

Totally relaxing

Superb spacious and very comfortable villa. Great location and breathtaking views! From point of booking to the end of our holiday Lindsey was very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Would absolutely love to go back, which says it all!

Immaculately clean and comfortable house with stunning views

A perfect family house for a relaxing week in the sun. Lindsey was extremely helpful before and during our stay and the agents there were also very friendly and helpful. The house is very well equipped with everything you need for a self catering and only a short taxi journey from town if you want to eat out. We wouldn't recommend walking into town with children, it's a bit far and very hot!!! Thanks Lindsey, would happily recommend to others. Kalamar Beach club is a bit crowded and would recommend the recently opened Zest if you want a full day out and a delicious lunch. Sam, Bella & Family x

The Most Breathtaking Villa

Villa Turquoise is simply the most beautiful villa with outstanding views. The whole property is decorated and furnished to the highest possible standard and extremely comfortable. All the bedrooms (double/king) are extremely spacious again taking in the amazing views, all with well presented bathrooms. The kitchen is very modern and houses everything you could possibly need a real home from home. Every little detail has been thought about in this villa, the owners really have covered all corners to make the stay such a relaxing and enjoyable holiday.

As good as it gets

Villa Turquoise is a spectacular villa. And it is more. The local suppliers who service the property mean that you want for nothing and feel incredibly priviledged; cars, supplies, tours to tour door all within minutes of a quick whatsapp message. The view are lovely. Really nice restaurants with friendly staff within a few mins walk. We loved the table tennis and the pool is as perfect as can be. In our 1 week we went to Patara and Fethiye and Xanthos - all worth the trip - and the boat trip from Kekova to see the ancient town on the cliffs was a highlight. Lyndsey was delightful to deal with and the most helpful villa owner we have come across.

JUST FABULOUS!

We so much enjoyed our stay in this beautiful villa. The location was ideal, walking distance to town, the local beach club and the lovely harbour of Kalkan . Tranquility and Stunning Views

We had a really lovely stay at Villa Turquoise. The villa has a brilliant layout, is very spacious and tastefully decorated/furnished. The views are breathtaking - waking up to blue skies over the Mediterranean Sea each morning was pretty special - as well as great views of Kalkan and the lush green Lycian hills, and star gazing from the roof at night! The Kalamar area seems to be a lovely serene spot within Kalkan, and there are several great restaurants within a few minutes of the villa. The beautiful and charming village of Kalkan, with an abundance of great restaurants and shops is a pleasant 15 min stroll, with several bars and restaurants (with great views!) en route! The locals are very friendly and helpful, and our host was great in ensuring all our needs were met, both before and throughout our stay. Would definitely recommend this villa, and indeed Kalkan for anyone looking to chill or to explore the region!

A beautiful modern villa with lovely views.

We had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay at Villa Turquoise. The villa has everything you need for a family holiday and plenty of room for a group of 7. It is very comfortable and the master bedrooms have amazing sea views. We loved the garden and there were so many lovely places to sit outside, including the roof terrace with an incredible panoramic view. We enjoyed the local beach club at Kalamar bay and our teenage girls particularly liked the sofa rides!! It’s a very short taxi ride into Kalkan and we discovered some great restaurants, including the Korsan Fish Terrrace (our favourite), some lovely shops and a very relaxing Turkish massage at a local Hamman. Lindsey, the owner was very helpful, answered all our questions very promptly and provided lots of useful information for our stay.

Beautiful villa with amazing sea views

We had a fantastic holiday. The Villa is beautiful. From the time of booking until the time of departure Lindsey made us feel looked after, sending us all the information we might require and arranging transfers from the airport. Unlike other holiday villas we have stayed in, Villa Turquoise feels very much like someone's home with personal touchs theoughout. We loved it. The villa is spacious - there were 7 of us and we had plenty of space. The maintenance team keep the villa and grounds spotless. Having a mobile phone to use is a really helpful touch. There are a few good restaurants really close to the villa so there's no need to go into the town every night. If you do go into town a taxi costing 20 lira is recommended as it's all up hill on the way back. We all loved our stay at Villa Turquoise. Thank you Lindsey, you have a beautiful home in Kalkan. I'm sure we'll be back.

A memorable holiday in a marvellous villa

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Villa Turquoise. This was our second visit and timed to coincide with special family birthday celebrations. We greatly appreciated the help from Lindsey and Amy in organising the efficient transfers and providing much assistance and local knowledge concerning restaurants and activities. The villa itself is quite wonderful. It is bright, airy, spotlessly clean and thoughtfully equipped and decorated. We made good use of the Nespresso machine which had been added to the kitchen. Iced coffees by the pool were very popular. The terrace and gardens were looking superb with the vivid bougainvillea, plumbago and hibiscus in full bloom which enhanced the spectacular views of the bay. The roof terrace is great at night for a relaxing drink and, with the clear skies, we enjoyed a little stargazing. The local maintenance team clearly keep the property in good order and were very prompt to respond on one occasion when we needed assistance. It is very useful to shop for essentials and have the option of restaurants close to the villa. In the evenings, though, we liked the atmosphere in the main centre and harbourside of Kalkan village where there is the general buzz of activity from interesting shops, bars and many excellent restaurants. Taxis are very promptly available if needed, inexpensive, and there were plenty that were able to take six people, which suited our group. During the week, in addition to much poolside enjoyment at the villa, we took a lovely sunset boat cruise with an excellent BBQ. A visit to Saklikent Gorge for river rafting/tubing proved to be an exhilarating experience and great fun. All in all this was a fun and memorable holiday in a marvellous villa. We hope to be able to return.

Amazing holiday at a stunning villa

Lindsey was amazing from the first contact to arranging the transfers to the villa. Any questions about the villa and Kalkan were answered quickly. We meet Ali the manager on the first day and as we only had to contact him via whats ap on the day we were leaving just to confirm the transfer. He has an office in town and he is very easy to get hold of by phone. When arriving at the villa it was even better than the photo's. There were so many seating areas outside to sit and chill or sunbathe. The favourite place to read was under the pergola. You get 360 panoramic views on the roof terrace and my son loved to sit and watch from up there. The property was the cleanest villa we have ever stayed in and we had two cleans during our stay with fresh towels and linen. The property is stocked with everything you could want and the decor was amazing. We have been to Kalkan twice before staying in different villas, this villa has the best location and was so close to be able to walk to do a daily shop, you can walk to Kalamar Beach club (well worth a trip or two) and a nice walk into the town. Also this is the first time the wifi in Kalkan has worked in a villa in the bedrooms (which is a must for 12,13 and two 19 year olds), it was fantastic to have no moaning about the wifi. I would recommend this villa to anyone wanting a relaxing holiday but being close enough to everything Kalkan has to offer. We did the water sports at Kalamar Beach club and hired out their jet skis, which my 12 and 13 year old children really enjoyed. We also hired a boat which is the best day out, as the food abroad was stunning as were the bays we stopped at. Everything about this years holiday was brilliant and thank you Lindsey and family for allowing us to stay at your beautiful villa.

Hi Jane, What a great review, thank you so much. It sounds as though you all had a great time exploring Kalkan and its surroundings, but as you say there is so much on the doorstep that you don't ever have to wander far. We have been going to Kalkan for 14 years now and there is till so much we haven't done. If you need advice for your next trip as to where to go and what to see let me know. There are a few things off the tourist map that are really special (and a secret!) Your kids are great ages for Kalkan, we have always found that there is something to occupy them whatever their age and Kalkan feels so safe that we have probably given our kids more freedom there than we would have in other places. Stunning Villa in superb location

We had a fantastic holiday at Villa Turquoise. Lindsey was extremely helpful, arranging our transfers to and from the airport and providing a welcome pack for our arrival. The Villa was equipped to a very high standard and furnished beautifully. The maintenance team keep it spotlessly clean - we were provided with fresh towels and bed linen regularly throughout our stay. The villa is in an excellent location and the views across Kalamar Bay are stunning. There are plenty of places to eat both in Kalamar Bay and Kalkan which is a short walk from the Villa - taxis are plentiful and very cheap if you prefer not to walk. We ate out regularly and the food and service was second to none. We enjoyed a boat trip around the local bays and went canoeing along the Xanthos river. We also enjoyed trips to Fethiye and Kas - both of which are easily accesible on public transport. It was our first visit to Turkey and we have fallen in love with the country and the people - we can't wait to return.

Villa Turquoise, Kalkan, Turkey - perfection

This was our second stay at Villa Turquoise, we first went in July 2012 and we had been longing to revisit as we'd had such a fabulous time the first time. The owner, Lindsey Tyler, is friendly, helpful and efficient in all her correspondence and communications which gives the visitor great confidence even before you get to Villa Turquoise! The listing descriptions and images are accurate and indeed we thought it looked lovely but both times have been even more delighted when we've actually arrived there. The property is very well maintained, clean and has everything you could possibly need if you want to just relax or even if you want to cook for yourselves everyday. The team who look after the villa are friendly and discreet as they come in and remove the recycling and any rubbish on a daily basis (if you choose) and Ozay, is a fabulous help if you need anything organised such as meals delivered, boats or trips booked or just any general advice and help you might need. Re transfers - we have always used Emin at Enes Cars for very efficient pick-ups and returns to Dalaman airport, always there on time with curteous drivers and bottles of water for the two hour journey to and from the airport. We've actually been to Kalkan four times now, twice at Villa Turquoise and twice in a hotel so we know the town quite well. My favourite restaurants are The Olive Garden (best food and best terrace with wafty lime green coloured sails to give a breeze), Salt'n Pepper down on the waterfront and The Old Trading House with another great terrace. We also highly recommend hiriing one of the boats for the day, just for you and your family and enjoy that wonderful feeling of leaping off the side of it into the turquoise blue ocean and then being served a fantastic Turkish lunch, more food than you'll need, that's for sure. We know that Turkey is struggling at the moment but we highly recommend Villa Turquoise and the lovely town of Kalkan where the Turkish people are so welcoming and friendly and very much love having British visitors to share their home with.

Why they chose this property

We had had many a happy holiday in Kalkan before we decided that this was the perfect place to buy a holiday home.
We had looked long and hard at all the areas of Kalkan and at many villas before we came across Villa Turquoise.
The villa was being built as a show villa on a small exclusive development and was situated in a fabulous spot with amazing views over Kalkamar Bay, just a short walk to the sea and a peaceful backdrop of olive groves and lazy goats!
We could see the villas potential and snapped it up before it was marketed. It was one of the best things we ever did.
