South Lake Union just down the hill. Fred Hutch, hospitals, Kenmore Air and Space Needle and MoPop within minutes. Street car to Seattle University or International District. Car? You don't need one but I have private off street parking.
Gorgeous updated 1902 Dutch Colonial with unique loft-style feel. You have entire main floor with outdoor patio. Perfect for two couples, friends or family up to five. Both bedrooms have new high-quality queen beds with their own full baths (one has a two-person shower, the other a shower / tub), with Euro Duravit low-flow toilets. Beds have hotel quality duvets with allergy protectors on mattresses and pillows and soft microfiber sheets. Extra-long trundle bed couch (new 2022) in living room easily coverts to a queen bed and sleeps a fifth guest. We have a Pac-n-play available for infants/toddlers.
Amazing sun-drenched kitchen has high end gas stove, farm sink, stainless built-in fridge and huge oak island. My wife is an amazing French trained cook, so kitchen is well stocked. Living room has 50" 4K UHD TV with all streaming services and a gas fireplace. Forced-air central heat and zone AC keeps things just the right temp. Washer/dryer in unit. Coded locks on both doors mean no keys to pick up or return.
Great for business and corporate stays, events or sightseeing, visiting relatives, or checking out the music or sports scene. Light rail goes directly the stadiums (in 12 minutes) and the University of Washington (in 5 min). I know you'll love this space. It has a wonderful cozy comfort that is hard to beat.

I would recommend this property to anyone. It was beautiful, clean, and in a fantastic location. So close to great restaurants, shops, and public transportation. Mike, the host, was as great as could be, friendly, responsive, and helpful.
This was a perfect spot for me…. the location (we could walk down to Pike’s Market, and to a great bar with live music (The Triple Door), and to The Nest (another great bar to go to to see the sunset). We did take a Lyft back, but was a short ride.The kitchen was gorgeous (and so well equipped!)!Hosts were very helpful and kindQuiet neighborhood and comfy beds.Off street parking was a plus too.A really great find - highly recommend. Thank you to Kathleen and Mike for a truly lovely place to stay!
This rental was perfect. Great location to Broadway, light rail access, and a quick walk to downtown, monorail, Seattle Center and more. Super quiet, clean and well equipped. This will be my go to place to stay in Seattle if its availble for future visits. Highly recommmend.
Perfect location - so close to the train and things on Broadway. Any question we had was answered quickly- hosts responded very fast. The fireplace was very cozy and kept the unit so toasty.
Great location, convenient for places to eat, food shopping and transport links. It is a family friendly apartment with off road parking should you need it. The host was great, really friendly and helpful. We feel everything we needed was catered for. Had a great time.
This was our second stay at One Block Off Broadway, and it did not disappoint! The home was more beautiful than we remembered. And Mike had installed central AC, which came in handy on a surprise 80 degree day. The home cooled down very quickly. As usual, Mike and Kathleen were very welcoming and helpful. They have stocked this VRBO with anything you might need (from spices and coffee to walking sticks and a yoga mat). We love being so close to restaurants and the grocery store. This is a very walkable neighborhood, with beautiful homes and landscaping. We will definitely be back!
We had a great stay. The house was super charming and had plenty of room. The parking spot was a total plus. Owners were accommodating and responsive. We will definitely stay here again.

This rental was absolutely lovely. The two bedrooms and baths were very comfortable and clean. The place was spacious and the kitchen was supplied with everything we needed to cook with. The owners thought of everything for everyone and were easy to contact and ask questions. We loved our stay here and highly recommend it.

The unit was easy to find, spotless, and beautiful. It has everything you need, and the kitchen is the perfect place to drink your morning coffee surrounded by all of the windows. We loved our family vacation in Capitol Hill! It was the perfect home away from home, and an ideal spring point for wandering around Seattle. We has everything we needed for a family with two children, ages 9 & 12. The home home is sweet, cozy and inviting. It was just the right a amount of space. The owners have thoughtfully provided so many things. Mike and Kat are wonderful hosts. We highly recommend this home!

I personally manage the property to a very high standard. No management company involved. I bought my house in 2002. It's a 1901 Dutch Colonial that was completely remodeled in the 1980s and 2012 to make it into two terrific living spaces. I live upstairs with my lovely wife, a French trained chef and best-selling author. I'm a tech guy who studied architecture so I've also put my own stamp on this home, too. Most notably, I remodeled the downstairs apartment, moving the kitchen into what was a barely used conservatory. I completely rebuilt it, installing high-end skylights, solid wood custom cabinetry, kitchen island and even a gas stove.
Why they chose this property
It sits at the edge of the most vibrant urban neighborhood in Seattle and is just a 6 minute walk to Capitol Hill Station. You can catch the 1 line north and south or the 2 line across Lake Washington to Bellevue and Redmond. The ability to walk to literally over a dozen restaurants, bars and coffeehouses was what attracted me to this house. I had lived in London just before purchasing it. The home has five garages in what used to be a 1900's carriage house for horses in the back. So I provide free off-street parking, a rarity in this pedestrian centric neighborhood.
