Apartment was excellent
On first arriving we were greeted with sick all over the carpets on the ground and first floor, which has no reflection on the owner of the apartment. Apart from having to leave early we loved our stay.

Perfect Location
Great location in Chester and less than 5 mins walk to city centre. Apartment was spotless and well presented. Off street parking was a real bonus as well. Will definitely book this place again.

Very close to city centre
Lovely quiet flat close to town centre. Chester had everything for sightseeing, shopping and entertainment. Would definitely recommend to others. Lovely to walk along canal towards town. Lots of information supplied in the flat for where to go.

Best place in 2 minutes away from City Center
Very nice and clean location, the owner helps us with everything we need it and also messaging after few day to ask if is all ok, if we need something...

Perfect location with all the required facilities. Excellent responsive owner who kept in touch.
Excellent position, walk down the to the river and stroll into town, walk to the canal and into Town, or walk straight into Town. All the facilities on the doorstep yet a quiet residence. Chester on your doorstep you couldn't ask for more.

Great Location and nice apartment
Apartment was located a short walk from the City Centre and Train Station. It was spacious, well equipped, clean and comfortable.
Good secure underground parking.
The host was very accommodating and got back to us promptly. An excellent stay and would certainly recommend.

Great Apartment
Had a lovely stay at Alexander Gate. The apartment is really well located with Grosvenor Park located just opposite. You have the river Dee just down the road and all the shops and restaurants are located within a 5 min walk. We will definitely return.

Fantastic Weekend Stay
Just got back from a great weekend stay in Chester. The apartment was fantastic, very spacious and well furnished. Ideal location, minutes from the town centre. A new Waitrose is located just down the road which we found really useful . We will definitely be returning .

Ideal location for Chester and surrounding countryside
Only a 5 minute walk from the city centre, the apartment is well equipped, spacious, includes off street parking and is close to all required amenities. Its location allows for easy exploration of the city and also provides convenient access to the motorway that allows the adventurous to explore the numerous delights of northern Britain.

A lovely apartment in a perfect location.
The apartment is ideally placed for the city centre and for other amenities, as well as being a short walk away from the river. It is very comfortable and well equipped and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to return.

Fantastic accommodation in perfect location

Roomy, well connected apartment
We enjoyed our stay here and as non-drivers managed to get out and about quite easily on the local buses. The river was literally 2 minutes walk away and the beautiful Grovsvenor Park just over the road in full bloom and a friendly squirrel climbed up me for a treat. We loved exploring the many historical venues and buildings. The apartment is very spacious and all the amenities were top class. WiFi worked immediately, we couldn't find sky tv channels. We couldn't find any dishwasher tablets so had to wash-up by hand.Beds were large and comfy but mattress was flattened a little at the edges which made me feel I might fall out. We loved having our little dog with us and he was very happy with the large lounge and open kitchen. We enjoyed a meal in a very old pub in Foregate Street where they welcomed our dog and the food was delicious. The canal side pubs and bars looked excellent and were trendy and alive at night.By day there was plenty of outside seating or you could watch the barges and walk the clean paths and bridges.There was so much we didn't have time for that we will have to go again.

Lovely apartment and ideal location!
Stephen (the owner) gave clear instructions, so it was very easy to acess the apartment & the private underground parking. On arrival the heating was on for us which was a nice touch. The apartment was very clean and nicely decorated. Was very comfortable and we felt right at home. Kitchen is very well equipt for cooking meals. All the bars & restaurants etc are literally 10 minute walk. Would definately stay here again if visting chester.

Staying in chester
On the hole the accomodation was ok, with a few niggles. 1. It was niosy when one sat to catch up on the news on Tv.
2. It was cold as both the storage heaters in the flat for the front room were turned Off at the wall !!.
3. But the main one was that it took forever to get the damage waiver returned to myself, as it took countless phone calls and I often wondered why we couldn't access any more reviews,for the property.

Thanks for your feedback, regarding the storage heaters and them being switched off at the wall, this is something a previous guest must have done which I was unaware of, I did my best to try and resolve the issue by telling you where the extra heaters are located in the apartment.
Regarding the delay in the return of your damage deposit, the delay was down to a mix up with where the deposit was located, previously I had been receiving the Damage Deposits from guests, but I changed this so your booking company returns them automatically. I admit it took a while to work this out, but I did return your deposit in full as soon as we got to the bottom of why the deposit had not been refunded to you.
Finally I would like to say that I’m very disappointed with the 3* rating you have given for your stay; the two main issues were dealt with as soon as possible. I would also like to add that I have received over 50 5* reviews with different rental companies I advertise with.

Lovely weekend in Chester
Just spent three nights in Chester staying in this lovely apartment. The apartment is in an ideal location. It is less than 10 mins walk to the city centre. Longer if you take the scenic route along the river Dee, longer but much nicer. During the day you can walk through the park into the city, the park is literally next door to the apartment. Although located on a main dual carriageway the apartment was well soundproofed and we heard no traffic noise. Having a secure parking space was a huge bonus too. The apartment was actually bigger than I expected, with two really good sized bedrooms and two full bathrooms, not just a shower en-suite. It would be perfect for two couples. Steve the owner was really helpful, ringing me to make sure everything was in order, which was really thoughtful and texting me Sunday to say we didn't need to rush on Monday morning and could stay in the apartment until midday. I would thoroughly recommend this apartment and Chester itself.
