La Vieille Ferme is a beautiful, 300 year-old farmhouse which stands proudly in the heart of Saint Jean d'Aulps village (just outside Morzine) in the heart of the French Alps. The house offers our guests the utmost in comfort, yet the character and charm of the ancient, historic building have been sympathetically retained. A fantastic location with spectacular mountain views, incredibly spacious rooms and a large south-facing garden make La Vieille Ferme the perfect place for your winter or summer break in the Alps! The village offers a range of restaurants, bars and shops - all within easy walking distance of the house. Endless kilometres of ski slopes (winter) and sign-posted footpaths and mountain biking trails (summer) are easily accessible from the house and numerous other summer activities can be enjoyed nearby. The house is available primarily on a self-catered basis but B&B, fully-catered and tailor-made skiing/activity/cycling/mountain-biking/sightseeing packages are also available. L’espace était parfait pour 15 personnes avec le salon qui est très agréable et chaleureux et la cuisine très pratique, je dirai juste qu’il manque un tir bouchon et quelques petites cuillères.Pour les chambre le fait d’avoir tout les petits savon et produits nécessaires sont super par contre vérifiez quelques poussoirs à savon ne fonctionne pas.Merci en tout cas pour tout car vous avez su trouver des solutions de dernière minute et c’était très agréable d’échanger avec vous.Bonne continuation à vous,Aurelie

La casa è davvero grande, é perfetta per un ritrovo familiare o tra amici, ogni camera dispone di un bagno. La cucina e il salotto sono perfetti per un gruppo numeroso (noi eravamo 9 adulti5 bambini)Anche se il meteo non è stato dei nostri, la casa dispone di una sala giochi e tanto tanto spazio...Ci siamo trovati benissimo!

Espace idéal pour accueillir des familles. Chacun sa chambre avec sa salle de bain. Tout le matériel à disposition. Les espaces sont bien délimités et permettent des moments de convivialité comme d'isolement à volonté ! La fraîcheur de la maison est appréciable avec la chaleur de l'extérieur.Le jardin est clos, sécurisé, permettant aux enfants de s'amuser et aux parents de se détendre. Balançoire, jacuzzi très grand où petits et grands peuvent se détendre. Terrasse et barbecue à disposition agréables.Attention, beaucoup d'escaliers, veiller sur les tous jeunes enfants.Un très bon week-end entre amis ! Merci Mark qui fut joignable par SMS sans problème, et réactif.

Another great stay

This place is a really great find! The chalet hosts can't do enough to make you feel welcome and comfortable and the food is amazing. It's a little further out than some other places but this actually turns out to be a bonus since you get dropped off and picked up from the slopes each day at a time of your choice which means no walking around in ski boots or taking buses to the slopes. We hope to be back sometime soon!

After a year painstakingly restoring our 300 year old home "La Vieille Ferme de la Moussiere" we opened our doors to our first guests in Christmas 2008 and have never looked back.

We aim to provide the perfect base for your skiing or summer break, offering great service, delicious food and taking the hassle out of your holiday. We are both passionate lovers of the mountains - both in the winter for skiing and in the summer for biking, hiking and adventure sports. We hope to share some of the treasures that we have found in this beautiful corner of the world with you.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with La Vieille Ferme because the building has so much character and charm. It is one of the oldest building in the region and during it's long and eventful history it has been a police station, courthouse, farmhouse, restaurant and even a jail!

We have worked hard to preserve the ancient character of the building and yet create a comfortable "home-from-home" for our guests.


What makes this property unique

We lived in La Vieille Ferme for many years, and now live just next door, so are on hand to help with any advice that you need during your holiday.

We love the location of the house as it is so easy to access all of the outdoor activities and attractions available in the area, yet the actual location of the house is pretty and tranquil and away from the crowds.

The house is perfectly located in a quiet and sunny spot, just a 5 minute stroll down a riverside path to all of the village amenities.

You can enjoy skiing, snowboarding, snow-shoeing, walking, hiking, cycling, mountain biking, swimming and numerous adventure sports very close by.
