Overall the house was great. Loved the location and easy walk to the beach. House was stocked with everything you need and was clean. The pool is not heated and was pretty cold for this time of the year, but was nice to layout by.
This was our second time staying at this wonderful beach house. The first was several years ago. We loved it then and this time around we loved it even more. The updates that the owners have completed are gorgeous. Pool area has lots of great seating. Although we didn’t actually cook (too many favorite restaurants to visit), the kitchen was beautiful and well equipped. Brenda was very responsive to any communication. A all the way around.
The house was everything we were hoping it would be. The location was great and the kids loved having a choice between the beach and the pool. We will definitely be back.
Brenda was a fantastic host!!! She was so helpful with issues with vrbo before our stay and she was very accommodating. The house was a short distance to the beach and the pool was fantastic! It was the best vacation we have had in a while. We would most definitely stay there again!
Property was very clean and a few steps to the beach. Owner was very helpful and responsive. If I were to make a recommendation the beds needs updating. I would stay here again.
We had a wonderful time staying at this property! The house was clean, comfortable and spacious. The proximity to the beach was great and having the pool was a bonus even though it was still a little chilly when we were there. We were traveling with 2 small kids so the distance from town was not always convenient for us, however if you’re looking to be away from the busyness of Gulf Shores it was a great spot. We loved how quiet it was and would definitely stay again!
Our family of 5 (kids age 5-6) had a wonderful trip! The home is fully stocked with everything you need and the views are amazing! We loved drinking coffee on the front deck and even saw dolphins from the house one afternoon.
The property was amazing and the location was perfect! The little beach trail was such a treat for my small boys to walk. Situated right by sand dunes the property felt secluded and so relaxing. We found our new beach spot here!
This is the second year we have stayed at the property and we have enjoyed all that it provides. It is a modern, secluded home that is a 20-minute drive from the traffic of Gulf Shores. It is a < 1 minute walk to a quiet stretch of beach. Great property for families.
Traveled here to find a quiet beach during spring break for the family. Lots of sun, and ghost crab hunting. Recommend going to fort Morgan at the end of the road was a fun cool fort and nice beach. Saw dolphins every day right off the beach. The house was clean, very nice and had stuff even we didn't think to bring. Awesome spot didn't want to go home
My husband and I, along with another couple, rented this house while visiting Gulf Shores for a friend’s wedding. The house was perfect! It’s just a short walk to the beach, and when the ocean waves were a little too rough, we greatly enjoyed lounging by the pool. Book this house! You won’t be disappointed.
This was our 4th stay in Fort Morgan. We love Dream Big. It is the perfect size for our family. Brenda is quick and responsive to all questions. This trip we went to Naval Museum and a Blue Wahoos game. Also enjoyed a class with Sand Castle university, part of our group went to a concert at The Wharf, and did The Fun Boat dolphin cruise. Most days we spent enjoying the beach and pool. It was a great trip!
Loved staying in Fort Morgan for the first time. This house has easy access to a beautiful unspoiled beach with lots of privacy. The home is very clean and well stocked. The decor is calming and tastefully done. It is apparent that the owner has taken great care to anticipate the needs of her renters. Having a back deck with a private pool and lounging area was a much appreciated bonus! Highly recommend.
This home was perfect for our group of 8!! The pool was amazing and the beach was close and peacefully calm. There are body boards, umbrella, beach chairs and sand toys for you to use. There is plenty of seating on the deck around the pool. It’s s about 20 mins back into town for restaurants, groceries, things to do (waterpark, go karts, mini golf). Parlor doughnuts and the hangout were some of our favorites. I highly recommend taking the ferry to dauphin island. They have a great little aquarium there and fort Gaines to explore. Then travel a few miles into town for lunch! This was the perfect kick start to our summer!! Thank you again for sharing your beautiful home with us. If we ever head back to gulf shores, this is where we are staying!
House was clean and lovely! Quiet location, short & easy walk to the beach! The back deck and pool was a wonderful area to to relax. Also enjoyed the two-storied porches with ocean views. Convenient outdoor showers to rinse off after beach trips. A little off the "beaten path" provided a quiet beach side atmosphere and just what our group was looking for. We ate at Sassy Bass Amazin Grill and Sassy Bass Cookout Tiki Bar, both only a few minutes from the house, and each member of our group would recommend both locations! Over all, we had a wonderful stay at this house!
We very much enjoyed our stay! The owner contacted us before we arrived to let us know there were a few items that needed to be addressed. Everything was fixed within an hour of us being there. The house is updated, close to the beach and the pool was a nice bonus.
We did leave a day early because of the forest fire. We did not want to get stranded if the roads closed. This obviously was not the owner’s fault. We would definitely stay here again.

We live in Fairhope, AL. I sell am a licensed Realtor in Alabama and Florida. I sell property in and around the beach area; my husband is a pilot for FedEx. We have a beautiful 5 year old daughter and a large extended family. When we bought 'Dream Big' the year after our daughter was born. She truly was the answer to our prayers and our 'Big Dream' come true.
Why they chose this property
My husband lived in Fort Morgan when he was in high school. His family home was about 2 miles from where our house is now. It was taken out by Hurricane Fredrick in 1979. It was like coming home for him. Also, since I sell real estate in the area it was easy for me to know the exceptional value, wonderful privacy and the tremendous beauty of the Fort Morgan Area.
What makes this property unique
The privacy and the beautiful white sandy beach is just the beginning. The pool is a wonderful bonus. Then you add the wonderful sunsets and just sitting on the deck in the wonderful chairs (my husband built) watching the dolphins and shrimp boats. It truly is 'Paradise' on Pleasure Island - as all the locals call the it.
