Gardeners Cottage has comfort and character and is an ideal base for visiting this beautiful part of North Yorkshire. Set in the grounds of the owners home Gardeners Cottage features an open plan living area, well equipped kitchen, double bedroom and bathroom. The private garden has a table and chairs to enjoy breakfast in the morning sun. Parking is available in the adjacent car port. The tranquil village of Staveley has its own great pub serving wonderful home cooked food, a Church and a nature reserve with hundreds of different species of wildlife and plants. This is an excellent base for walkers, cyclists, and those who simply want to relax and unwind. The ancient market town of Knaresborough is a 5 minute drive away, a great place to enjoy river walks and visit Old Mother Shipton's cave and petrifying well. The beautiful Spa town of Harrogate is 7 miles away and offers a varied day out - glorious gardens, the world famous Betty's tea rooms, the magnificent Turkish Baths and excellent shopping. The World Heritage site of Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal are a 30 minute drive away. The owners are on hand to offer advice and local knowledge, having both lived in the area all our lives. Please note there are 10 steps leading from the car port to the cottage entrance.

Wonderful accommodation in a lovely village with a great pub within walking distance.Knarsborough is nearby with boat hire and walks along the river and Fountains Abbey national trust is definitely worth a day trip to.

Everything about our stay was amazing. The host was very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. The cottage was really cosy and lovely and is in a fantastic location. Everything we needed was on hand. I would highly recommend a stay here. We will most definitely be back! 10/10 from us. Staveley is nearer our friends, families and places we enjoy visiting. Minutes from the A1 yet overlooking open fields and hearing birds singing makes this our perfect location.
