Great experience with Phoenix West 2
Comfortable clean fun condo
We stayed in the Phoenix West II for 6 nights and really enjoyed the space and the amenities. My children loved the lazy river with the big slide. Also the indoor pool. The only downfall would be the unsecure WiFi. I had issues hooking up to the WiFi with someone spoofing my phone number and trying to get into my email several days in a row. As soon as I dropped the connection never had any more issues. But other than that it was a great condo spacious and clean. I would definitely stay again.
The process of booking and checking in was simple. Love door code entry without keys. Condo was decorated nicely but bedroom carpet desperately needs removing, old, worn and dirty. Condo needs fresh coat of paint and new commode seats. Kids loved the pool and the lazy river. Location was excellent and never overly crowded to drive around. We really enjoyed eating at THE GULF, LULU’s, GT’s and The DOC’s Near the condo.
We have been coming to Gulf Shores/Orange Beach area yearly for nearing 25 years. The trip was very enjoyable! Great company, great foods, lots to do...however I was a little disappointed in the condo. It was adequate. I felt like we had interrupted a design team in progress. This has not been our experience in the past. The colors didn’t match in the rooms, it was very dark. There were minimal utensils in the kitchen, no scoop in the ice maker. Little things/ touches were missing that made it feel like a “home away from home”. It was clean but definitely not welcoming. We only had 2 towels in the master bedroom for two adults. Only two in every bathroom. That meant laundry every night. At least provide the same as a hotel. One hand towel per bathroom. I know these may seem like small things but sometimes it’s the details/small things that bring you back!!!
We had a wonderful stay in your beautiful 3 bedroom condo in Phoenix West II. We had a couple of incidences in which the sink sprayer didn't work, so we were out of water for 2 days. Then when it stormed on one of our days, water was POURING in from the balcony. But, other than that, it seemed that the property management folks were very attentive to our need. I think the master bed could use replacement. It is not a good quality and is VERY squeaky. But I feel that is just normal wear and tear that needs replaced periodically. So, no worries. We still loved our stay.
Nice property but unit needs a total remodel
Phoenix West II is a nice property. All the security people were very friendly. Most of the facilities were kept up. The elevator floors seem to have some issues with caving in by the doorway. Odd. As for the condo itself, it is in great need of a complete remodel. Carpets worn out and dirty, toilet seats actually worn out, dirty walls need paint badly (I don't think they were ever painted). The furniture is worn out and/or damaged. Living room sofas were very uncomfortable and dirty. The towels are thread-bare. The door stops are missing or totally rusted out. Kitchen stocked poorly and the silverware must have been purchased from The Dollar General. Ice machine was full of mold. A black blob came out of the water dispenser of the refrigerator. into my water glass. Not a single rug in the whole place. The weather stripping on the sliding glass door to the balcony is half missing so when it is closed you get a constant whistling and a wind draft through it. We contacted Prickett several times on some issues when we first arrived for our month stay and they were very good at responding. We asked for a new can opener, hot pads, new broom and a mop, and even a couple lounge chairs for the balcony and they promptly came over and supplied them. They fixed the falling light fixture in the kitchen (twice) and replaced some light bulbs. They also ran some cleaner through jets of the jacuzzi tub after I tried using it and the tub filled with black mold blobs. I think for people looking for a short term party pad, this place would be fine but for long term (monthly) stays, I would not recommend this place until they can put some money into furnishings and maintenance.
