The location of the house is absolutely stunning with almost 270 degree ocean views. The house is charming, well, appointed, and comfortable for staying in on days when the weather favors not venturing out.
Hilltop is a very special place indeed. We would definitely come back to Cape Breton Island and have fond memories of our time in Chimney Corner. Alexandra was warm, friendly, accommodating, and professional. Five stars all round. Thank you!
A stunning location and beautiful home. My husband and I stayed 4 nights to do some hiking in the area, but some of the best views we had were from the giant wrap around deck! We wish we had booked more time so we could just spend a day at the house watching the ocean and the sunsets. If you appreciate design, you will also love this home for its angles and the small details in the decor. If you like flowers, the property was fully in bloom with native wildflowers. We highly recommend.
We were travelling with our kids aged 6,8,10 and 12 - the “kids” room equipped with art supplies, a toy chest and books was a magical space for them. We woke up every morning and fell asleep every night in awe of the view. The home was intentionally designed without a tv, microwave or dishwasher, which was a bit challenging but we embraced it. Chimney Corner beach was a beautiful spot. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here - it was an incredible experience.
The property had the most beautiful views of any place we have ever stayed. The scenery, wildlife, and sky viewing were incredible! Saw moose, deer, and eagles; shooting stars and the Milky Way; and fantastic sunsets!
Gorgeous house built by designers, with incredible views of the water. Very remote location with few services around but charming secluded beach nearby. Owner was very responsive and helpful.
A beautiful house that complements a spectacular vista
The first thing that strikes one on arriving at Panorama Cottage is the spectacular 360-degree vista of the Cabot Coast, a view unrivaled anywhere in Cape Breton. On settling in, it is obvious that every detail of the cottage has been designed to reveal, reflect and complement the beauty of the sea and mountains surrounding it. The elegant simplicity of the decor and the masterful selection of colors in every room of the cottage are testament to the sensitive eye of the designer. Just 5 minutes away are Chimney Corner beach, the nicest in the region and the warmest water in the North Atlantic, and the delightful Woodroad restaurant.
I cannot say enough good things about this gorgeous home. The most spectacular view, stunningly designed interiors, fully equipped kitchen, sound system, endless activities for the kids, gear for beach days, picnics, etc. It had everything and more. I couldn't have imagined a better place to visit and we cannot wait to book our next holiday there. Thank you so much to Alexandra for sharing her spectacular home!
We had a marvelous stay at this property. The actual experience is even better than the photos on the website. You can watch lobster boats from the local towns in the morning and whales in the afternoon…truly amazing. The house has a very well appointed kitchen and that’s a good thing given the relatively few restaurants nearby. We bought groceries most days and dined with the sunset at the end of the table. The house is quirky, but overall, it’s truly love able. We are already looking forward to our next trip up.
The property was truly amazing. The house is really four sides glass - windows on all sides. We so enjoyed the beautiful mornings with hawks and eagles flying by and the absolutely gorgeous sunsets. A true bonus was the lobster boats out every morning! I highly recommend this property and we can't wait to come back. Oh - just a few tips for any future visitors... the downstairs bathroom only has a bath tub but if the weather is good the outdoor shower is awesome! The upstairs does have a shower too that works great. The house is appointed with all the cooking and essentials you may need. There are great places to see and visit and a Puffins tour is a must! Great property and great area to visit!
It is the dream house, we love the ocean view, the sunset, the living room, the wall-to-wall windows, the surround sound, the color of the window seat cushions, furnitures and even cookwares, nice wall art like Cape Breton maps, the impressive outdoor shower, and so on.
You can find grocery at Co-op, wines at NSLC Select, we love the Flora’s ice cream shop, it is just 20 mins drive if you can find it. We saw an eagle flying around and even pink butterflies. What a wonderful experience, if you want to escape from city, please come here!
Alexandra‘a place is stunning and the view is spectacular! Everything was as advertised and we couldn’t have asked for more. Our only regret is we couldn’t stay longer. Hope to be back soon! Thanks Alexandra!
What a little slice of heaven. Beautiful spot with all you need to relax and unwind. It’s as described and pictured. Book this place now. You won’t regret it!
We had an incredible stay in Cape Breton, the location and home was breathtaking and we all said this will be a place we remember for a long time. The house is stunning and well equipped for four adults and a baby. Hopefully we will have a chance to return one day.
This property was exactly as advertised….breathtaking ocean views and excellent accommodations. We had everything we needed and more. It’s such beautiful home!
