Set in the heart of Cognac’s famous Grande Champagne vineyards, this former distillery is now a spacious 3-bedroom gîte – perfect for a large family, a group of friends or a multi-generational holiday.
Just 10 minutes from Cognac, it’s a relaxed countryside base for exploring the Charente.

L'Ancienne Distillerie is a countryside estate made up of 4 holiday cottages, formerly the buildings of a traditional Cognac distillery.
Shared spaces include the large swimming pool, games room and large back garden. The cottages are independent and without direct sight lines, providing a perfect balance between group living and private spaces.

This former Cognac storage barn has fantastic high vaulted ceilings, exposed beams and exposed original stone walls.
You’ll find a large open-plan living area with lounge, dining and fully equipped kitchen, 1 double bedroom (Super King size 180cm bed), 2 twin bedrooms, a bathroom (shower and toilet) and a separate toilet.
Your private terrace, with a BBQ and outdoor furniture, is ready for long lunches and evening meals outdoors.

Outside, enjoy over an acre of landscaped gardens with BBQ area, enclosed 13m x 6m pool and a games room with table tennis, table football and pool table – not to mention swings, football, and space for the kids to run free.

High speed WiFi, Smart TV, bed linen and towels are provided

Why they chose this property

We chose this property as we felt it perfectly match what we were looking to do; not too big that it was impersonal not too small that we would not be able to give our guests the space they needed. We felt that it was important for guests to decide what sort of holiday they wanted; peace, quiet and tranquillity or if they preferred to be able to join together with other guests to share events, games, BBQs and experiences. So we have created a mix of private areas and public areas around the site so people can escape or join in as they please. The property is also perfectly located for visits to Cognac town and visits to the local cognac producers, the coast and easily accessible from the Uk and Europe.

What makes this property unique

When I think about France I dream of blue shutters and grape vines Here the vines are all around and cover the gentle rolling hills and lead down into the picturesque river valley. We have the dream and we are happy to share it with you.
