Luxury contemporary beach chalet with stunning uninterrupted sea views. The chalet is exceptionally well equipped and has underfloor heating throughout and log burner for comfort. Ty Bach Twt is set right by the amazing beach at Gwithian and has direct access to the beach, wild sand dunes and the Cornish coast path. The chalet sleeps six comfortably, ideally suited for one family and grandparents, but can accommodate eight in its three bedrooms for shorter periods (two are queen-sized doubles, one en suite — and there’s a fun bunk room for four smaller ones). There’s a wood burning stove, a gas-fired Weber barbecue, two hot and cold après-surf outdoor showers with a privacy screen, a large and luxurious open-plan living space… and the best bit, the bifold doors opening onto the decked terrace looking out over sand-dunes to the sweep of St Ives Bay and Godrevy lighthouse.
Inside Ty Bach Twt Step into Ty Bach Twt and throw open the bifold doors. You’ll be looking over sand dunes to St Ives Bay with a 180° panoramic view of the sea. In the beach house is a large open plan living, dining and kitchen area, with light flooding in from all directions. There is a comfy sofa and arm chairs, a wood burning stove and a smart TV (just in case you get bored of the beach) with seating for eight around a chunky wooden table. The kitchen is utterly contemporary and well equipped, with clean lines and lots of storage to keep your holiday clutter free. All other rooms are on the same floor with under floor heating throughout. The master bedroom (with queen-sized double bed and en suite shower room) shares the same dramatic views as the living area so you will be torn between staying in bed and enjoying looking at the beach, or getting out and being on it. There are two more bedrooms, one with a queen-sized double and the other a fun bunk room for four. A lovely family bathroom with large shower completes the accommodation.
Outside the beach house Ty Bach Twt has generous outdoor space. The decked sun terrace to the front of the beach house is the obvious winner, but tucked away on a higher level is a second seating area which is perfect for a book or a glass of something. The decking continues all around the property and sheltered behind it are the same practical features that exemplify the thought that’s gone into planning this very special place. You’ll find racks for surfboards, a big storage cupboard, two hot and cold outdoor showers for slipping out of wetsuits in comfort, a wetsuit drying rail, and a remote-controlled sun (or rain) canopy. You’ll have a two burner Weber gas-fired barbeque to help you make the most of easy al fresco feasting. The beach here is one of Cornwall’s best. Life-guarded in the main holiday season, there are miles of sand, scores of enticing rockpools, great for children, beachcombing, surfing, windsurfing, kite surfing and sun-worship. But of course it’s the view that defines Ty Bach Twt — you’ll be looking westward across the sweep of the beach to St Ives. At most times of year you’ll enjoy watching the sun plunge over the horizon and the lights of St Ives and Carbis Bay come alive in the darkness over the water. There is parking for one car. Additional car parking is available at the public car park 500m in front of Sunset Surf Cafe.

The house offers all you need for a relaxing holiday near the sea with perfect waves for surfing and bodyboarding.
The view is really the best you can get in this area.
I think this was our 6th or 7th time at the property and it never disappoints, it is always breathtaking. A few signs of wear and tear this time - from broken steps to staining on furnishings and loose deck planks (we were warned in advance about these) but otherwise as beautiful and well equipped as ever.
We were overjoyed at how incredible this chalet was. When we return to Cornwall from Canada we will be booking this home again. The owners were incredibly quick with responses and this location overdelivered in every way. Thank you so much.
Our 4yr at this stunning property. We absolutely love the area, the beaches, the farms, the restaurants. The sea goods even shone on us this year and delivered a few days of good swell, all just outside the back door.
This was our third stay here . We never tire of the view, whatever the weather . The chalet is light and airy , and very comfortable. Definitely plan to return .
Stunning!!! We loved our stay here, my boys were wanting to try body boarding and this place was absolutely ideal, completely set up to enjoy water activities. The house was beautifully appointed with the lounge, kitchen and dining table overlooking the beach. A fab BBQ and kitchen was well stocked for self catering. The food hut on the beach served the best bacon sarnies after a morning of body boarding and then you had Chomp at 3 Miles serving fab cocktails and good food. Really enjoyed our week here, we will be back!
I never leave reviews but this is one the nicest places we have stayed. Perfect location for a coastal/beach holiday.
Obviously put together with care. Just our style & my wife tells me we will be back!!! Thanks for a great stay.

Magical place perched above the beach
We just returned from the most magical stay in Hayle. The house is perched just above the beach, with dreamy views and a sense of peace that settles in the moment you arrive. Our children had the freedom to walk down to the beach on their own, which made the holiday feel both relaxed and adventurous. Mornings began with the sound of waves and ended with incredible sunsets. The house itself - beachy, beautifully kept, clean - with everything we needed. A truly special spot we will definitely be returning to. Thank you!
We are very enthusiastic about our stay at this accommodation. The location and the view of the sea and beaches are exceptional. The house is designed so that you can see the sea from almost everywhere. The furnishings are modern and comfortable.
Communication with the host was perfect. Everything went smoothly.
We thank you for a great time in Gwinear.
The house was beautiful to look at and had everything we needed and lots more! The view from the huge windowd/doors was stunning. Everything was clean & everything worked. All equipment & fittings were of very high quality. Electric roof windows and folding doors kept us cool & outside showers helped to warm up and de-sand us after a swim. We loved the big fridge freezer with an ice dispenser too. It’s the closest house to the beach and the beach was clean, water clear & good waves for surfing & boarding.Lovely walks from the house along the beach and around the headland. The sand dunes were full of birds & flowers & there are lots of local cafes.
What a fabulous beach chalet in the most amazing location. We had a lovely family holiday here and made full use of the beach and local surfing school. The views and sunsets from the chalet were spectacular. Also a good location for St Erf station - a 15 minute drive away with train access to St Ives.
We had a brilliant week staying in the beach house. Stunning views and the weather was superb. The house is well equipped and we’d love to stay again in the future!
This was our second visit to this beautiful Beach House.
It is difficult to find fault with the property, and we never tired of the view. We hope to return next year.
Immaculate Beach House on the dunes, perfect escape and wonderful Beach that goes for miles. We were worried about the size as it's quite compact but everything is done so well on the interior we need not have worried. The position is unrivalled, the view, the sunset and the surf if you want. It was perfect.
Ideal location for views, relaxing , walks and surfing .
The property has everything you need, and has a high spec. We never tired of the view. It was very comfortable, and well equipped . Parking is limited to one car , so can cause a problem.
We had the most amazing week. The beach is stunning and the position of the chalet is idyllic. We couldn’t of asked for a more relaxing week. We will be back!
Second time staying here and we loved it! Stayed with our three kids, went surfing and watched sunsets. The loveliest place to be, so relaxing x

Wonderful chalet in fabulous location
This chalet has the absolute best position in Gwithian Towans the views are just awesome and the beach literally just a few steps away, for us this was just what we were looking for as a special treat for our wedding anniversary.
The whole chalet was very clean (a must for me), is kitted out with high quality fittings and appliances, also a super comfy bed, it has pretty much everything you should need really, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and were sad to leave.
There's just a couple of things we felt we would have liked, some reclining outdoor chairs to relax outside on the deck perhaps, also some blinds in the lounge area, after dark we did feel a little exposed! neither would stop us from staying again though which I hope we will again very soon.

Excellent property in perfect location
We stayed here over Christmas quite literally had the best Christmas ever.
The property itself is excellent. Three good sized bedrooms, dining area, lounge and well equipped kitchen all clean, modern and in good condition. There is excellent underfloor heating and a wood burning stove (which I wanted to use but the weather was so mild I just didn't need to!)
Location is perfect, literally the last house before the beach so you couldn't be closer to a sweeping view of Gwithian Beach with the lighthouse in one direction and a wide sandy beach of 3-4 miles stretching in the other.
We had s great stay and would highly recommend!
