The photos dont do it justice - so cozy and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. The surrounding area is beautiful and will definitely be coming back.
Private, fully equipped galley, comfortable furnishings, warm and engaging host and the best accommodations we've encountered on our around the world trip .
Margaret was a wonderful host and this property was just what we were looking for during our travels. It was cozy, we loved the town, and we could drive to cities for the day. Great experience overall, would highly recommend this property.
Beautifully restored coach house in great location
Friendly knowledgeable hosts, excellent house in a quiet village near the great historic sites and hikes of the area. If you are looking for a place in the Irish countryside to unwind that’s still close to everything, this home in Inistioge is a great choice.
We enjoyed our stay very much. Very good location for exploring, by car of course. Very comfortable! The small town of Inistioge has a beautiful park by the river with a 10 arch 12th century bridge.
We spent three lovely nights at St Columb’s Coach House and were warmly welcomed by our hosts. The surroundings were beautiful and we felt as if we had stepped back in time. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Rustic, beautiful, property with amazing hosts. Lovely old old coach house been remodeled into two bedroom two bathroom home with all amenities included. Close to all kinds of little town towns and close to bigger towns a short distance away. One of our best vacations yet.
Mark and Margaret’s coach house was ideal for us. We instantly fell in love with all of its charms. It’s located perfectly to create a home base and welcomed us comfortably after long days of exploring. Inistioge is a gorgeous location. If you’re looking for a long weekend with quietly stunning scenery or a home away from home, this is where you need to stay
The coach house is the coziest cottage with a gorgeous view of their forested property, especially from the lens of their “greenhouse foyer”. Walking distance the most beautiful little village of Inistioge where everyone was so hospitable and the views were breathtaking. The owners are entirely the most lovely people to chat with ever, and the Epitome of hospitality and kindness. I would absolutely book another stay with them, but for much longer next time.
Margaret and Mark were so welcoming and we had a couple of lovely chats about the history of the Coach House and the restoration efforts. They were helpful with recommending sites to visit and things to do. The accommodations were so comfortable and very well-appointed. Just such a great place to relax and recharge. We'd definitely stay there again!
Very origanal and rustic with the modern needs. Lots of space and enjoyed the fire every night. Just a short walk to town and a lovely location for sight seeing. The hosts Mark and Margaret are warm and friendly, just great people
What a beautiful place, lovely homeowners (Maggie and Mark), and peaceful stay! The home itself has everything you need-well equipped…not to mention the plethora of books to read! This was convenient as a pivot point to other site seeing options and nice enough to want to stay in. Thank you for sharing your beautiful oasis!!!
2 adults', 2 children (6,8) had more than enough space in this comfortable, restored country home full of history. Mark and Margaret were so friendly and welcoming. We wish we had stayed longer. Seriously considering moving there... We will see you again when back in Ireland. Thank you so much!
We stayed for 29 days. The hosts treated us like family! We needed converters for our C-Pap machines, cell phones and iPads. Immediately, Mark got us what we needed. We left for several days each week. Mark and Margaret turned the heat off to save energy consumption.
The cottage was very comfortable. It was located for us to easily travel around the Republic.
Mark and Margaret Dunne were wonderful hosts. We shared meals together and swapped stories of life in the US and Ireland.
Everything about this cottage is fantastic. It’s roomy and comfortable. Close to walk to village for pubs and food and a 10 minute drive to thomastown for groceries. A fabulous place to make home while visiting Ireland’s beautiful sights.
Maggie and mark were great hosts. So kind and accommodating.
Definitely recommend!!
Thank you so much!!
Our three night stay here was wonderful. It is situated on lovely grounds. Margaret and Marc are super hosts - very welcoming, and responsive to our queries. The only thing we failed to notice when booking the cottage was that heat is an additional charge. It was a surprise, but we sorted it out. I would definitely recinnebd this place and if back in Ireland, I would love to stay here again.
We were greeted by our hosts as if we were old friends. Mark and Margaret made themselves available whenever we needed them but respected our privacy, and made us feel very welcome. The stone cottage is well furnished, cozy, and extremely comfortable. The nearby area is very centrally located, and there are great attractions in the vicinity, such as the Woodstock Gardens, Jerpoint Abbey, and Kells Priory. Although we made this our base for ten days, we still wish we could have had more time to explore. We would definitely return again!
We love this property and the hosts that live on site. It is charming and feels like home. The comfy beds with the heated mattress pads are so cozy. We stayed here in March and had to return. The location is perfect! Close to the village but on a lovely property with an orchard, gardens, cute bunnies, outdoor grill area and a garden gazebo. . Sleek and modern it is NOT but if you love charm, stone walls with two story beams, loft, books and comfy furniture you can curl up on in front of a fire...then you will love the Coach House. Hosts Margaret and Mark are friendly and absolutely engaging.
