About this property

Mayfair W8 Beautiful 2Bed 1Bath

Beautiful 2 bedroom and one small computer room, parquet flooring, nicely decorated to high standard, nice living room and fully equipped kitchen, 5-7 minutes High Street Kensington, 5-7 minutes Earls Court and 1 minute Cromwell Road & Cromwell hospital.Flat is super convenient to Knightsbridge, Soho, and all the sights and a direct link to and from Heathrow (NO CHANGE) on Piccadilly line.
Kensington & Chelsea is one of the most attractive areas of London. It is the home to several major museums such as Natural History museum and Science museum.

The famous department stores Harrods, Peter Jones and Harvey Nichols are also located in Kensington. Hyde Park is a short walk away, and if you walk through the park you will reach Oxford Street, the most famous shopping street in London. Most attractions of London are within easy reach, such as Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and Piccadilly Circus.

There are plenty of bars, and especially King's Road is known for its many bars, restaurants and clubs. Notting Hill is only a short journey away where you can enjoy lots of small shops, trendy cafés and bars and the exciting Portobello Market.

There are plenty of tube stations in the area that will take you wherever you want to go in London. If you want to enjoy the extensive night life London has to offer, there are also plenty of buses and night buses running 24/7 from all directions in London.

The Neighbourhood

My apartment is located in the heart of Kensington, one of the finest areas of London, and is minutes from Knightsbridge (renowned for Natural History, Science, and Victoria & Albert Museums ), as well as the exclusive shopping areas of High Street Kensington, Kings Road and Knightsbridge, comprising both boutiques and the internationally famous department store, Harrods
Both the underground (District and Piccadilly lines) and London's famous red buses (C1, 328 and 74) give easy access to the theatres and nightlife of London's West End.
London is one of the greenest cities in the world and some of the most beautiful parks in Europe are on our doorstep including Hyde Park, Holland Park, and Kensington Gardens where Kensington Palace is located.
Music lovers should not miss a chance to visit the Royal Albert Hall, also in Kensington, for world class classical music, opera and performances.
For the antique collectors among you, the internationally famous Portobello Road is a short bus ride away.
Business travellers will be within walking distance of Olympia conference centres and the apartment is close to the A4 for direct access to Heathrow airport.
Whatever your reason for visiting London, whether for business or pleasure, apartment is perfectly placed.

London is one of the most exciting cities in the world. A big, vibrant, ever changing place, renowned for its history, pageantry and architecture, along with its famous restaurants, theatres, clubs and nightlife.

Getting Around

London Heathrow Airport is 14 miles (22km) from the apartment and there are several transport options to choose from. A Taxi or Uber is an easy option to reach the apartment, however, taking the Tube from the airport is just as easy. Take the Piccadilly Line directly to Earls Court Tube Station, exit via the Earls Court Road exit, turn left out of the station, walk straight, cross the main Cromwell Road, continue straight ahead and the next street on your right where the apartment is situated (It is 8 minutes walk). If you decide to travel by Heathrow Express, you will need to take a District line underground to Earls Court tube station from Paddington station. It will take you around 40 minutes to 1 hour to reach the apartment.

London Gatwick Airport is 30 miles (47km) from the apartment and is easily reached by different means of transport. You can take the Gatwick Express that goes to Victoria Station and from there take the District Line to Earls Court tube station. The Gatwick Express takes approximately 35 minutes to Victoria Station. The cheapest option is to pre-book an EasyBus shuttle, which will take 65-80 minutes to Victoria Station. Should you decide to take a taxi/uber, it will take approximately one hour and 15 minutes dependent on traffic.

London City Airport is 14 miles (23km) from the apartment. The easiest way to reach the apartment is to take a taxi/uber which will take around an hour and a half. Should you decide to use DLR services and then the underground, take DLR from London City Airport station to Tower Hill and change for the District Line to Earls Court tube station.

London Stansted Airport is 43 miles (69 km) from the apartment. The train is the fastest and most convenient way from Stansted Airport to central London (London Liverpool Street) with an average journey time of 45 minutes. The Stansted Express shuttle bus now operates early morning and late at night. The shuttle can be pre-booked and will take you from the airport to the Victoria Station. It takes around 75 minutes. Obviously there is always the option for a taxi/uber!

London Luton Airport is 36 miles (57 km) from the apartment. Regular rail services to central London take as little as 25 minutes. You can catch the Luton Airport shuttle bus from outside the terminal. This will take you to Luton Airport Parkway station in around 10 minutes where you can catch a train southbound into London St. Pancras (25 minutes) and from there the Piccadilly line to Earls Court tube station. Green Line provides an express coach link between London Luton Airport and Central London and the nearest stop to the apartment is Victoria Green Line. From there you need to walk to Victoria tube station and then take the District line to Earls Court tube station. Pre-booked EasyBus shuttle is another option - it offers a high frequency, low cost express bus service between Central London and Luton Airport. EasyBus coaches run 24-hours a day between the airport and Central London. The closest stop to the apartment is London Victoria. Another option is a taxi/uber!

By Road: All major roads and motorways towards London intersect with the M25 London orbital motorway. The easiest routes are to join the M25 east or westbound, as appropriate, to reach the M4 intersection. Come off the M25 onto the M4 and head towards London. The apartment is off the Cromwell Road, which is the A4 and a continuation of the M4. Take the next left after the junction for Earl's Court, which will be Marloes Road, then turn left.

By underground: Earls Court is the closest underground station to the apartment. It is on the Piccadilly and District Lines. At Earls Court, exit via the Earls Court Road exit and turn left, walk straight, cross over Cromwell Road and continue straight, we are the first turning on the right. It is approximately 8 minutes walk. High Street Kensington Tube 9 minutes, Gloucester Road Tube 10 minutes.

Lovely property

This apartment is well-equipped, clean and in a great location. We were greeted with a lovely bowl of fruit. Only problem is that if the renters upstairs are loud or stay up very late (as they were when we were there), it is very disruptive. The apartment needs soundproofing between the floors, or a “no noise after 10pm” policy. There was a problem with the electrical system for our last two days and we were without power. But the building manager went out of his way to make sure we had other accommodation in the building and was really helpful, even buying dinner for us! All in all, if the noise problem is addressed, this is a good place to stay.

Great Stay in London!

We just returned from out trip to London/Edinburgh and stayed in this Kensington apartment for the first leg of our trip. Great location, looks just like the pictures and really well appointed. My husband and I travelled with our 17 yr old son and this space worked out great. This is a city apartment so expect some noise from the street and other folks living/staying in the building. Walk to tube is very close by. Devonshire Arms pub is 2 blocks away. Recommend The Brittania pub as well. With High Street and Tube so close - you can't go wrong. Patris and his team are great to work with - I had a text waiting for me when we landed at Heathrow. Would definitely recommend this location!

Becarefull of loud neighboorhood

Owner was great and easy to communicate. However, the neighbors or renters above the unit were very loud until 1am. Crazy part is they had little kids.. They also had some construction going on and started very early in the am..... Warning, the unit does not have AC and it was VERY difficult to sleep with noise and heat with only the fans provided. It was 82 degrees or 27 degrees c at night 2 of our nights. Also, unit has no coffee maker...

Great location, warm and welcoming

We travel with earplugs - as you never know. Thank God, as we did need them the whole time we stayed. This is a loud place. The neighbors always providing background noise - never closing a door quietly but banging every time, all day, every day, all night, every night. Bang! A party lasting until 3:00 AM on a Saturday night, chatting outside the window, heels clanking, someone’s phone ringing, the thump of the tube... it is not a quiet atmosphere but what cities are? That said, the location is perfect. A few minutes walk to the Earl Court station, a couple of pubs close by, grocery store and every other need within a few minute walk. The owner is attentive and very quick to respond! The WiFi’s strong. The flat is comfortable. The couch area is welcoming. The decor very pleasant. The kitchen is not your cook’s kitchen but it works. Washer, dryer, dishwasher, shower - all in good working order (never could figure out the dryer). Great hot water. The bed is very comfortable. Lots of hangers and closet/dresser space. The outdoor space is not usable space, which we were hoping for, but more a walk through area. Sometimes people come down the private steps, which can be disconcerting when you hear the gate and footprints. We stayed for 10 days. Didn’t have a way to clean the floor. Hard to keep clean without supplies. We were happy with our time here overall.
