Beautiful apartment in the central almond of Madrid, bright, silent with lines 3 and 6 of the subway at the door of the house. Train station 7 minutes walk, Atocha station 15 minutes and buses in all directions. Located in one of the most effervescent cultural and gastronomic areas of Madrid, MATADERO, very close to the great engine market that is in the railway museum. 10 minutes by direct line of the subway from Puerta del Sol and 12 from Gran Vía (Callao metro)
  The apartment has large windows to a square full of trees, no car noise, no pollution. It is essential to visit the Slaughterhouse, music, dance, theater, exhibition halls, terraces, bars and restaurants in an environment between nature and industry. The second weekend of the week of each month is a must visit the motor market, small fashion and accessories, food. Where you can also buy any new or second hand curious object livened up by DJ and live music. Ideal to eat something in the many food trucks that there are while you enjoy the great atmosphere that is breathed. Low cost parking very close to the house € 8 / day. You can also present yourself in 15 minutes walking in the traditional Madrid trail any Sunday or visit any of the museums of the arts walk.

Had a short stay in Madrid, the host (Javier) was fantastic and very patient after we were delayed at the airport. The accommodation was great, located near a Metro suited myself and my family well. Would recommend.

Great location

Javier (host) kept us informed and was very accessible. He met us at the apartment upon our arrival. In the morning of checkout, he kept our luggage for us as we had an early afternoon train departure. The location was perfect. Walking distance to Madadero, Retiró Park, etc. and so many restaurants. Train station is 10 minute taxi ride or about 20 minutes if your prefer to walk. My only comment is that the listing says the property is air conditioned. If it is, it was not obvious to us. The common rooms do get a pleasant breeze. The bedrooms were warm

Thank you Monica for your comment. When you made the reservation the apartment did not have air conditioning and it was not mentioned in the advertisement. Now it does have it and that's why it now appears with air conditioning. You were excellent guests.

L'appartamento è molto molto bello, ideale per 4 persone in quanto dispone di 2 camere da letto ampie. Dotato di ogni comfort, silenziosissimo nonostante non sia un piano alto. Nice apartment in a good location. There is a metro stop 1 block away, which makes it very convenient to all that Madrid has to offer. It is a 10 minute walk to a Super Mercado, but has a great convenience store next door. The apartment was fairly clean, has a wonderful shower and Javier was very good about responding to questions before our arrival. He also gave us lots of suggestions for restaurants, night clubs, activities, etc. after we arrived. The only downside was the noisy upstairs neighbors. There was a lot of stomping and banging, but it wasn't a huge problem because we went to bed late. However my friend, who stayed in the front bedroom, listened to a baby cry and heard lots of activity throughout the night, every night, making sleep difficult. I was in the back bedroom and it was quieter. Other than that, the accommodations worked well for us.

Dear Mary, it is the first time that I have news about noise (inside the normal thing in a house with neighborhood ducats that is what they are, you did not rent a house in the mountain, you rented a house in the center of Madrid, completely isolated from the traffic). No other client has complained and go a lot. I understand that if a child cried is something circustancial, maybe I agreed that he was sick.

Very cute place. Right price. Close to metro for easy access to other parts of the city.

Javier was a great host, meeting us personally, giving us tips for restaurants and sites, and even a welcome bottle of wine. The place is very well appointed with a great interior style. Beds were comfortable and everything was clean. No traffic noise. But kids sometimes play in the park in the back and that can be noisy, but it's a joyful noise.

Très bon accueil du proprietaire : serviable et sympathique. Il a mille bons conseils à donner. Un bon plan : un parking low coast très pratique. Merci Javier !! Équipements complets : cuisine, sèche cheveux, serviettes, machine à laver, lave-vaisselle... Très propre. Bonne literie. Un sans faute ! Dans une cour au calme. Quartier un peu à l'écart du plein centre, mais accessible à pied très facilement : nous n'avons jamais pris le métro. Tous les commerces à côté. A ne surtout pas rater !!
