About Patrick and Jacki Poovey
Hi! Welcome to our home on Oak Island! We are a fun family of five with three active teenage boys and a furry friend too! Since we are dog lovers, we welcome your well behaved, non-chewing, house-trained dog, too.
Patrick and Jacki Poovey purchased this House in 2011
Why Patrick and Jacki Poovey chose Long Beach
One look at the charming 1960's cottage out in the backyard and we were all hooked. The nostalgia will take you right back to the family beach trips during your childhood, or even drum up some memories of summer camp! Flip Out Flop Down may not have the finest finishes, but it is clean, neat and well cared for. The location cannot be beat! Just steps to the Island Way Restaurant and Ocean Crest Pier. Only 11 miles to the charming town of Southport, NC where you can catch a ferry to Fort Fisher where they have a great aquarium for the kids.
What makes this House unique
Charter a deep sea fishing trip, or a jet ski for the day. If you like to take it easy, the west end of the island is a great place to find sand dollars and shells. The Oak Island Nature Center on NE 52th Street is a great place to take the kids as well as the Ocean Conservation Center.
