Location and Surrounding Area. Villa Don Pietro is snuggled into the cliffside, directly above the main beach at Praiano, which offers an exclusive beach club, excellent restaurants and boat rentals. Praiano lies in the heart of the Amalfi Coastline and has always been a desirable destination of the elite; from the artistic days of the Grand Tour to illustrious visitors such as Escher, Jackie Kennedy and Pablo Neruda. The deep Furore fjord, with its network of steps and secret beach, is a poignant reminder of the days when fishermen would haul up their catch for the villagers.

Among the countless enchanting places to visit in the area, perhaps Ravello, Positano and Amalfi stand out for the first time visitor. Ravello, at 350 meters above sea level, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and offers both unforgettable architecture and scenic beauty. The 11th century Cathedral and Villa Cimbrone are exquisite and a summer music festival is held each in the year in the gardens of the 13th century Villa Rufolo. D. H. Lawrence wrote Lady Chatterley's Lover here and the town has been frequented over the years by the likes of Greta Garbo and Winston Churchill.

The delights of Positano and Amalfi have inspired artists, writers and lovers for centuries. The higgledy-piggledy, white-washed houses clustered up and down the winding steps and sophisticated shops and restaurants all combine to create an exceptionally chic atmosphere. Villa Don Pietro is only 9 km from Positano, 10 km from Amalfi, 12 km from Furore, 17 km from Ravello 57 and 40 km from Vesuvius and Pompeii with its world famous archeological site. Naples international airport is about an hour's drive away. There are also frequent boats from Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi running to the islands of Capri, Ischia and Procida.

The Property. Villa Don Pietro is set on two floors with five bedrooms and five elegant en suite bathrooms on the lower floor. Each bedroom has been designed to offer guests sublime comfort and exceptional quality with first class bed linen and far-reaching views across the sea. All five bedrooms contain fitted wardrobes and have individual access to the breakfast patio.

The living area is on the top floor and has an amazing, fully-fitted kitchen complete with all sorts of modern appliances for rustling up delicious meals to be eaten al fresco under the stars on the white-washed terrace. The living space has comfortable sofas and a large, flat-screen digital TV. You'll find it hard to leave the terrace but don't forget to explore the lemon grove pergola and spend an hour or so day-dreaming in the hammock.

Villa don Pietro enjoys from March 2018 a new amazing Pool Area. It features an infinity small heated pool (acquarelax) 5mt x 3.5mt, a solarium with sundecks and a shower. the pool area is furnished with a styfish wooden floor.

Direct access to the beach is via another set of gorgeous steps down to the beach path. There is a handy bus stop if you fancy traveling along the fabled Amalfi Coast to either Positano or or Amalfi.
