This accommodation was excellent. It was ideally located for us, as we had a hit list of locations all over Lewis as well as on Harris. The cottage was clean, warm when required and had a well equipped kitchen. (How often do you see digital kitchen scales provided)! The beds were comfy, There was plenty of storage . And the house felt relaxing. Oh, and the view! The view from the back of the house was spectacular. I thoroughly recommend this accommodation.
Clearly with a lot of love restored and taken care of, very welcoming, very nice views; overall very good starting point for exploring the outer Hebrides
The house is perfect and the location at the middle of Lewis & Harris is really great.
If you need to rest a bit at the house, you will love to watch to the (many sorts of) birds, sheep or rabbits
Check in process was straight forward using the lockbox.
Property was spacious and clean, very well equipped. Ideal location for exploring Lewis and Harris.
Host was very helpful and quick to respond to messages.
Highly recommend and would love to stay here again should we visit again.
The house overlooks Loch Erisort in a beautiful, quiet setting. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortably furnished with a better equipped kitchen than is found in many rental properties. We found it a good location for visiting Stornoway, the west coast of Lewis, and Harris. The local area to the south and east is also worth exploring. We had a meal at the local hotel which was pleasant, but, we thought pretty expensive, so wouldn’t really recommend that.
Aw what a lovely stay we had at the bungalow. Deceptively big and laid out so well for families. Very homely. So equipped to be able to cook and the welcome basket with bread, eggs, butter, milk and weetabix was so welcome as shops aren’t easy to find and have short opening hours! We were in awe of the view and look forward to hopefully returning soon.
We had a great week staying at 7 Habost. The house was very comfortable with everything you could need. Brilliant welcome basket awaited us in the kitchen including bottle of wine, bread, cereal, eggs, jam, tea, coffee!! The view was just stunning, beautiful watching sunsets and sunrises. My son particularly liked the fact we were staying next to “Granny Island’s” cottage from Katie Morag!! Perfect location for exploring Lewis and Harris with both being in easy distance. We look forward to our next stay 😊
Extremely comfortable bungalow in a tranquil setting overlooking a Loch. It was equipped to a very high standard - even better than we had imagined. Our host Anne replied promptly when we contacted her. The location was ideal - halfway between Tarbert and Stornoway. We were a party of three generations and it suited everybody. If we return to Lewis and Harris, we would look no further than 7 Habost!
The house was just as pictured and very clean. The beds were comfortable and living area was spacious. There was a nice view of the loch out the dining room window and it was fun to watch the sheep with their lambs around the property. The location made it a good place to explore Lewis: Uig, the Calanais Standing Stones, the Black Houses, and to Stornoway for groceries and restaurants. There is the convenient Ravenspoint Centre about 2 miles down the road with a nice little museum, store with essentials, post office, and small cafe. Unfortunately the gas pumps were not working, but there was another station with a small grocery about 8 miles north. The owner provided a lovely welcome basket which was appreciated since we arrived late on a Saturday. The owner was very prompt and helpful in her replies to questions we had and there were a lot of pamphlets on things to do in the area. We would definitely rent this property again.
The house was spotlessly clean, comfy and very well equipped. Little touches like providing a welcome basket of food and a pair of binoculars to watch the wild life in the bay were much appreciated. The location near Balallan is ideal for exploring both Lewis and Harris.
This was our second attempt to travel to the outer Hebrides. We had to cancel two years ago and Anne was so good then, that we rebooked with her. The property is one of the best equipped that we have had. Position was very good for touring. Highly recommended.
The bungalow was perfect, well equipped, warm and spacious, the bed was comfortable and the setting great. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property.
The property was excellent in every way but it should be noted that the island goes to sleep late Saturday afternoon and doesn’t wake until Monday morning, that did catch us out . For peace and quiet it would be hard to beat and the people were so friendly .
Better than we could have expected. Owner left a welcome pack of tea, coffee, bread, biscuits, milk etc. This was just what we needed as we came of the ferry at 2015 hrs on a Thursday night and there was no shops open at that time. The location and views were excellent and the bungalow was superb.
Extremely comfortable and well equipped cottage in a great location for exploring Harris and Lewis.
Well equipped and very comfortable. Quiet, scenic location in a good position to explore the islands.
Extensive facilities and warm and cosy with great views.
Highly recommended.
Lovely, comfortable and spacious house with every convenience. Perfect for a relaxing holiday.. Anne was very helpful answering our questions.Great to sit at the window, watching the local sea eagle at the loch. The weather was amazing, but we really wouldn't have minded either way!
