Very enjoyable

We were welcomed at the door and shown to our well-appointed apartment. Spectacular views from the Castle across Stornoway harbour, and a very comfortable stay. Management are friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Recommend the Castle cafe downstairs for breakfast. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

This hotel is actually a group of newly renovated residential rooms located within an old historic castle, on very beautiful forested/gardened grounds that overlook the Stornoway harbor and town center. It’s just a short (approximately 15 minutes) walk from the castle to the center of Stornoway, with its restaurants, bars and shops. The rooms are contemporary, nice and clean, which is fun to see and experience when you are in an old castle. The hotel staff is super helpful and friendly and they give you the keys to the castle when you check in!
